"Contrary to popular thinking, being worthy isn't something you earn,
it's something you recognize."

Mike Dooley
Inspirational Author, Speaker and Friend

Hi, I joined last week and hope to enjoy your forum--be among my own kind for a change. Bad week online last week and I am tired of forums that are too big and complicated. Just enough is all I need.

This is something I need to focus on and I get an email with other good quotes so I thought--why not start a thread--hope that's OK. I sometimes unintentionally make posts that are not quite what is preferred in large forums--so tired of all of that. Rather burned out on the internet but I do learn a lot from meeting others and sharing ideas and opinions.

Nice to meet all of you.

I think you are off to a grand start, Pinetree! I read your quote three times and then thought about it it. I agree with you and feel that the person who recognizes it is a worthy person as well.

I taught school in Atlanta/Tucker/Lithonia, fyi--if that bit of information is important to anyone. The DeKalb School System--noted for decades as an exemplary system and learned there what real teachers always do or face administrative wrath beyond what can be understood unless you know DeKalb County Ga as well as I do. Yes, there have been changes--some not so good but the values I learned back in the 50's are still the same. You can absolutely take that to the bank--or Google and read this school system's history. The South--Civil Rights are taken seriously enough to cause heart attacks in many of us.
I coming close--BP at the top of the charts and diabetes type 2--guess that will be pretty bad--it happened to my dad--heart attack/stroke--not an easy thing to have in your life. But --my family endures come what may. That is the Southern legacy--whatever others think or feel about it.

I taught these students in Savannah, GA--loved them each dearly--and they didn't know that sort of love was possible--not from a lady like me. I didn't blame them I blamed the culture and did all that I could do and was 'asked to resign'. Then I came home to Atlanta--1991 and we have been doing 'Diversity'--my oh my---how we do things here.
Takes the Toby Keith/Martina McBride in every one of us to live here and then we listen to Josh Groban--that is what I do at least.

I am a new member--joined last week and I need to 'explain' myself, I suppose. May I do that--I hope so. If you don't understand contact me and I will do my best to communicate with you.

Had enough of such comments elsewhere and I believe you should be a bit more understanding. Why do we need Inspiration? Because life gets very difficult at times and I am telling my story so that I can get back to a place of Peace.

Fingers crossed that this will not become an issue. There is no need to be so hasty to judge, jmo.

Tell me your story and how you met your challenges --that is the purpose of this thread--if I am allowed to have a purpose and become a good member.

I am asking for some compassion --kindness--is that really too difficult here?

If you want to write a blog about your life you should go to Open Court and make a thread. Per Coldwater, the moderator and boss of this board, this forum is for
