Police seek help locating missing teen

Police are searching for a 15-year-old girl from Toronto after she went missing Sunday afternoon.

Friends last saw Stephanie Doss at about 5 p.m. Oct. 25 near Lawrence Park Collegiate. The school is near the intersection of Lawrence Ave. W and Chatsworth Dr.

Doss is described as white, 5-foot-3, 130 pounds with long blond hair and brown roots. She has brown eyes and wears heavy makeup.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-3220 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-8477.

Not another one n/t. What's going on in Canada lately? There seems to be a spate of missing girls/women lately. I pray Stephanie is found safe and very soon.

Hi Leanne,

Yah. 2 teenagers in Toronto in less than a month. Not sure if there is a connection but it is a concern.

There's not much online regarding Stephanie's case though. I'm wondering if it's because they believe she's a runaway.

I don't care if she is a runaway n/t. At 15, she's in danger whether she's away voluntarily or not. I honestly don't know why LE doesn't err on the side of caution when a minor goes missing. Better to put everything possible out there and utilise all your resources to find her and then discover that she is a runaway than wait a while and then it turns out to be foul play by which time critical evidence has been contaminated or degraded so much it is not much help.

Not just Canada...seems to be an epidemic everywhere lately...Somer, Elizabeth, Haleigh, Maddie...such a shame...my heart goes out to all the families involved. God give them the strength to get through these awful times.

I know Leanne. It's just odd that I can't find anything else online about Stephanie. When I get home tonight, I'll write an email asking for an update. It's outrageous.

I never understood why some get alot of media coverage while others don't.

Actually I go to LPCI and Stephanie Doss [who is in my grade] phoned her sister this morning and we saw her talking to her friends in front of the school so she is safe and sound. :)
However Mariam is still missing.

I googled Stephanie's name and there is nothing reported that she has been found. There is a Facebook page that I found off of the Toronto Crime Stoppers Facebook page and it mentions nothing. I am thinking that she has not been found yet, and if she has, maybe family/friends should be informing the authorities that she was located.
