Maury's show is about Missing Children. There will be other parents of missing children on there as well.
It's not about Misty's antics. I guess you'll have to catch Misty updates on JVM or NG.

"Misty's antics" most likely are paramount to what happened to Haleigh. So yes, if it takes JVM or NG to cover Misty's behavior, I'm all for watching them.

Good for you.
I don't believe Misty's latest antics have anything directly to do with Haleigh's disappearance.
I also believe it would be an injustice to Haleigh, and the other missing children and their parents, to spend the hour discussing Misty being robbed the other night while trying to buy drugs.
The discussion, from what I understand will be about missing children. Hopefully someone will watch this show and maybe recognize one of these children, which could lead to finding them.
That won't happen if Misty's mug stays on the TV screen the entire time.

Maury comes on at 4pm here.. same time as Oprah. I set it to record just in case I'm not home.
O/T The past couple of days Dr. Phil had some of Marcus Wesson's children on his show. I didn't follow that case. They kids were pitiful.

I agree with you Zeep. I am just sick of Misty. My only hope is that she gets arrested for a stupid move and is grilled by LE. She need to be behind bars to shake the truth loose. A cell with GGS would be just fine with me. She'll get the truth out of her !

Just got back, saw Robert Romero's mom and sister. Absolutely heartbreaking. Not knowing....how absolutely horriffic. Praying for a miracle for that family. Ron is coming up, I agree Frankie, it is going to be hard to watch.

Ronald and his Mom both are on the show. Maury goes through the history, narrating and using a video produced by using actors to re-enact the events. Maury also shows some old home videos of Haleigh.
Teresa has Misty's doll on her lap as she explains Turner Syndrome to the audience. Ron is crying, too. Both have real tears streaming from their eyes.

Can someone post a link for me that states Misty was buying drugs? TIA
Nothing I've read mentioned a particular person buying drugs. Only the rumor mill keeps saying it was Misty.
One woman later told police she let a friend out at a housing project where she said she wanted to buy drugs. According to a police report we’ve also put up, the driver said she was only taking another friend and Misty, who both wanted to score.
http://www.artharris.com/2009/10/21/misty-cummings-new-911-call-robbed-when-drug-deal-went-bad/#
I couldn't read the police report but if what Art says about it is true then the driver allegedly said both Misty and the other friend wanted to buy drugs. If that is in the police report then it isn't just "the rumor mill".
ETA I just went and looked again and the driver does say that Misty and the other girl were there to buy drugs. Its the last sentence of the report and hard to read.

As we all hold differing views about what may have happened to HaLeigh Cummings in the hours of February 9th and 10th, 2009, it seems that we do share the desire for truth and resolution in this case.
It is sad to see that posters feel the need to criticize one another, when we obviously all have individual theories and ideas about this case. Isn't it HaLeigh that we come here for, day after day, night after night?
As for me, Maury's segment on HaLeigh, featuring a strange re-enactment, Teresa Neves, continung her downward spiral, and Ronald Cummings, once again reminding the mysterious "stealer of children" that his daughter isn't a belonging. (What?)
Why doesn't Ronald L. Cummings say his daughter's name? Why did he preface his "plea" with thanks to LE and everyone, a reminder that Haleigh is not property (or a "belonging") and then, almost as an afterthought say (without mentioning he was now addressing his daughter) "... and if you're watching, I love ya."
Nothing rang true to me and these are all my opinions.

Lynn as always you are the best with your links and I truly appreciate your help. I did not get to see the Maury show and to be honest I never knew Maury was still on air until I heard Ron and Teresa was going to be on his show. I missed the show, but thanks to you Lynn I did get to see it.
I think Ron and Teresa both looked very nice and I have to say my heart broke for both of them.

I'm not following you; what do you mean? Is there some question as to Ron being the father of HaLeigh? Why did you direct the above post to me, if you don't mind letting me know?

Did you not have an ounce of sympathy for this father today while you watched him cry and speak about Haleigh? Did you not feel his pain like most of us did?

Sure, no problem. And then maybe you could tell me why you look for perfection from Haleighs dad? A dad who has his daughter missing.

Thanks for your words, just4justice. Your nic really says it all, I believe. What more could we all want but Justice for little HaLeigh Ann-Marie Cummings?
I am not looking for an argument and I am still at a loss as to your last post, informing me that HaLeigh is Ron's daughter. Your quote of part of mine is not an answer to my question of you, which is basically:

As to your new post, above, all I can wonder is why you would assume to believe that I look for perfection in Ronald Cummings, or anyone, for that matter? How does this tie in in to HaLeigh and her disappearance?

Thank you for the links and information above W_D_1
Am I the only one upset or not understanding something when it comes to this latest incident with Misty?
Why has LE not taken the opportunity to arrest Misty for trying to buy drugs? This could be there best hope ever of arresting Misty and setting bond so high that hopefully she would have to sit in jail and be questioned long enough that she would finally break and tell the truth about the night Haleigh went missing. If she was arrested and behind bars then she could not walk out just because LE was " rude " as she stated on the today show.
I honestly do not understand why LE has not arrested her...any ideas?
Also, that 911 call from Misty was so different then the 911 call the night Haleigh disappeared. My untrained ears can sure hear the difference so I am hoping the FBI ( or whoever goes through the 911 tapes) is going through both 911 calls and comparing them and in my opinion they are. I think in the future if there is ever a trial these two 911 calls could be very helpful, of course IF Misty is not telling everything she knows which I do not believe she is. LE has made it clear they think she is hiding something also ( paraphrasing).
I do not like to hear anyone scared or hurt not even Misty because they are about a 1% chance in my mind she is innocent, but this incident could be very helpful in finding out what happened to Haleigh. At least I can hope that it is if LE would or could arrest her. Can they not arrest her since at least on of the girls with Misty has said what they were doing?
I am sure the above is confusing but I am just so upset after seeing the video of Teresa and Ron.
I just knew my theory the other day could be so right and now today I am second guessing myself again.

Am I all wet or isn't it illegal to purchase drugs from a seller? If so and using the person's statement who said they were there to buy drugs, couldn't they arrest Misty and "lean" on her a bit concerning other things?

Great post,Texas. For some reason a line from a Prince song keeps going through my head when I read comments by some posters.
The line is "she's never satisfied"
Seems some are never satisfied....no matter what.
I remember early on in this case some were saying RC and family never thanked anyone helping in the search for Haleigh.
Turns out that wasn't true....but some posters decided to go with it anyway.
RC uses the MP show to again give thanks, and it seems that some have a problem with that.....I don't get it,but it takes all kinds.
I see no reason why Ron shouldn't refer to Haleigh as his daughter as she is his daughter.
I thought he and TN did a great job in getting the word out about Haleigh on the MP show.

I agree with you. Todays show broke my heart, and this was just a small glimpse into the hell they live daily, hourly, minute by minute.
That said, and not directed specifically toward Seeker, those that believe/decided he is involved, despite no evidence, are not going to feel sympathy for him.

Amazing. When Crystal was on Nancy's show, she called Haleigh 'our daughter' which is a perfectly normal way to refer to one's child....Ron says, 'my daughter' and there is this feigned confusion as to why he would say such a thing.
Somer's mother was just on HLN, talking about her 'baby' she didn't say her 'name' either...
Why didn't Ron say his daughter's name?
What would have changed for you if he had? To this day, I have only spoken my daughters name out loud a handful of times, it is TOO hard. Her name is in my head and heart 24/7, but it hurts like hell to say it out loud. Maybe that makes no sense, no matter, it's how it is for me. Possibly it is the same for him. Not everything has to be suspicious.

I did notice what you noticed with Ron when he spoke his plea. I will say it is confusing to me and I do not know if he was caught off guard or what. I have to admit thought, the tears I felt were real and that overshadowed his words to me anyway.
I am still not 100% convinced he was not involved somehow, but I have always felt Haleigh met with some kind of accident. I do believe that Ron loved Haleigh and still loves Haleigh.

I'm so thrilled you agree with the "bolded part" of seeker's post. I was just about to address it. IMO, seems that there's a lot of carry over animoisty towards the poster and not the post itself.
The focus on this board should be, IMO, Haleigh, and who and what happened. It seems when someone opines what they think could have happened, it it doesn't fit with the majority here, its described as disrupting.
You , from reading your posts happen to believe in Ron not having any knowledge of what happened the night Haleigh went missing. Others, myself included, happen to think otherwise. Isn't it great that we live in a country where we can have a different opinion and have a venue to express it without fear of reprisal?

Yes, Panman, Maury did have a show on the Missing today, and although I didn't have an opportunity to watch it, my post this morning was it was prerecorded, prior to Misty's latest caper, what Ron felt, said, expressed a week ago, has little bearing on the last two days or so events. I would like to hear what Ron has to say about Misty today, yesterday, and tomorrow.
We all can understand the pain the Cummings, Ron Teresa, Gram Sykes are experiencing, the point is, what can Misty have to say that just might make it go away just a little bit.Ignoring what Misty is doing is ignoring the elephant in the room.

Great post Tia Marie and I agree with everything you have said.
I do want to say this and I can only HOPE that some will really think about this for just a moment and I am serious.
I see the Haleigh thread slowing down all the time. I feel the reason is, there is a select few that will just not except someone else's thoughts and opinions if they are not just like their own. Well, we are not robots and we all think differently and we do live in a country that allows that.
So, people stop posting because they get tired of being criticized for their thoughts and opinions in this case.
So, then the post slows down
So, then people stop talking about Haleigh
Who does that hurt?..........HALEIGH is who it hurts.
I truly believe that the public keeps interest going in any missing persons case. Now, if posters stop talking about Haleigh because they are tired of being criticized for their post then there is a good chance that the news media will stop talking because as we know ratings is what they are after. So, if the public stops talking and loses interest then the media will disappear so then there is a very good chance the case will go cold.
So, I hope BEFORE anyone starts to criticize another persons thoughts they will think about HALEIGH FIRST and what could happen.
I see nothing wrong with debate, but when you personally attack another poster you are doing nothing but hurting Haleigh in my opinion.
Now, the select few can go behind my back and make jokes and act like children or they can think about my post for a moment and realize they may be hurting others feelings but in the long run they are hurting HALEIGH.
My very STRONG OPINION.
I am sorry for the rant, but I felt it was something that needs to be said.
Just remember, in the beginning of this case day or night you could go to message boards and SEVERAL posters would be on-line. Look at how many posters are on the Haleigh thread today. What does that say?
I am leaving, because as normal my post are getting ignored, Seeker is getting personal attacks, so if the select few wants this board it looks like that is exactly what is happening. I seen the SAME select few do this to the AH message board and I hate to see it happening here, but I see this same path happening here and it is very sad. I for one think In Sessions is the best message board out there but if we get ignored attacked ( I have had several personal attacks myself so I know how Seeker feels) then posters will just keep leaving.
I can only HOPE to see some changes soon because the Haleigh thread is too slow and it is defiantly NOT because there is not enough news out there about this case because there is. This is one of the strangest cases I have ever followed so there should be more public interest and posters on this board. PLEASE STOP THE PERSONAL ATTACKS.
If you do NOT know how to discuss without being RUDE then just post your thoughts and opinions and move on in my opinion.
I am sorry tia marie for jumping off your post but I got started and I just could not stop.
Lets ALL discuss Haleigh and NOT other posters.
bbl - when I see posters discussing Haleigh and NOT other posters.

Do they not have compassion in general or is it just a few that seem to harbor such hateful (and that is the only words I can come up with right now) thoughts to wards Ron He is the father of a missing child and I would I would not wish this situation on my worst enemy.

I do not feel Seeker or anyone should be criticized for their thoughts and opinions. We all have them and just because we do not agree with someone else's ...does that give any of us the right to put down another persons thoughts or opinions?.....NO, in my opinion it does NOT.
Gosh, I hope you nor Seeker feel I was criticizing, only expressing my differing opinion. If so, I apologize. Can't we even disagree respectfully anymore? I am at a loss on this board many times.

I cannot believe Haleigh still hasn't been found, how much longer is it going to take to find her?
Who on Earth has the answers to her whereabouts?
Misty? Ronald? A N Other?
Crystal and her fiance have never even entered my radar as being involved in whatever has happened to Haleigh, they were miles away when whatever happened, happened.
Why is it when a poster has an opinion several posters have to form a gang mentality and jump on their back?
The same opinion is opined post after post after post!
Do people feel the need to post exactly the same thing as the previous poster just to 'get their oar in'? so to speak.

I am glad to see your post Kathlb because it makes me realize I am not the only one wondering about this.
There is no law against saying you were buying drugs but there should be one against stupidity. !!

I need to apologize for my above post. This is about HaLeigh and everyone is entitled to their opinions.
It is frustrating and I did not mean to take it out on anyone here.

Not tonight seeker. Carry on without me.
Me, too. After the day anguishing over Somer Thompson and seeing Ron and his mom in such pain, I don't have the strength or the desire to fence tonight. :crying:

How we can watch the very same show and come away with polar opposite feelings is astounding. I saw a man devastated living a 8 month nightmare. My heart breaks for him. I do not "read" anything into his comments at all. There was no right or wrong way to deliver them imo. I felt he spoke from his heart.
Chica, I understand your frustrated and "astounded" feelings about how we can come away from the same thing and feel and think completely differently about what we have witnessed. ("We" meaning a collective "we," not just you and I).
I just cannot watch this in a vacuum. Since February I have been immersed in this story, and the "normal" feelings of sympathy, even empathy, for parents and family of lost children just aren't happening for me when it comes to Ronald, Teresa, and Annette. With Misty, not being biologically connected to HaLeigh and so young, I have different thoughts.
I realize this is not a popular view, nor does it paint me as a very caring person to some people. But, that is not why I'm here. It is truth I am seeking, and if it is a sad and ugly truth, than so be it. If I am wrong, I will be very happy, relieved, and my faith in mankind will be lifted up another notch.
My OPINIONS and hope for some peace here on this board.

Chica, I was not speaking about you and I am sorry if you took it that way. I do realize just because some people disagree that is normal. It IS when it is RUDE and I did not see you being rude to anyone.

Well, gee Lynn, I guess the police report will just have to do !!!
Thanks so much.

Not everything has to be suspicious.
imo
I have the same problem saying my son's name and I also can't say the word died.

That is so understandable, Chica. It really does take a life time of experiences to feel what some parents feel and act the way they do.

IMO Penny..the board has NOT slowed down because of the posters...in any case once there is little or no news posters will go to a different forum..and that is exactly what has happened....If you had been posting for any length of time you would know that and NOT place the blame on posters like you tried to do...
You want to discuss HaLeigh...then start discussing. Who is stopping you?
Why do you feel the need to lecture any poster here..? You do not approve of the post then skip it...
My very strong Opinions.
I have the same problem saying my son's name and I also can't say the word died.
I completely understand and I am so sorry.

My prayers to Elle and Chica and their families. If you two can come on here and explain to ones who have NOT walked in your shoes, then I don't understand why it is so hard for some to "get it".

Seeker,
I truly understand where you are coming from (your BBM post). and so when Ron says anything you are suspect, you interpret it as suspect. I really do understand and that difference of where we are coming from is what tailors our opinions of what we see and hear. I hope you are completely wrong about Ron and we find he had nothing to do with Haleigh's disappearance. If he is found to be complicit, I will be very sad and will feel fooled to have put my faith in him. I don't like Ron or his choices, but I for some reason believe him. You, for some reason don't. And that is what makes the world go round. Today has been very difficult for me posting on Somer's thread and watching her case unfold. Again many sex offenders all around her. Watching Ron crying on Maury tore at my heart and so, yes, tonight I want to believe and grieve with Ron.
