What stood out to me was how Channon's dad says he feels such hatred....'hatred that is abnormal'. :sad:
You can see it written all over his face and in his body language and of course, in his rocking in court. Poor poor man (and parents!)

alot of us have said the same thing about Gary it worries me he will have a heart atack before this is all over, and I pray he is getting some sort of of counseling but he seems like the type that at this point he is not going to get over that hatred or forgive I am not sure he will ever be able to. I think in alot of ways he feels guilty he was so close to Channon when they found her SUV and did not find her even though it was to late. I watched videos back in August and he brought that up that him and his son was right there and he could not help her so that is JMO

Just for the ones that did not know back during the Cobbins trial these 2 families had already been through over 80 court hearings so this has been non-stop for them and most of it was to continue some bull at one hearing the Christians had a lawyer ask about not re-scheduling a hearing for a certain day because DC could not get off work IIRC or she had something that she would not be able to be there and they never missed any hearings well the Judge shut him up and the def lawyer got it moved I will never forget that video they were so hurt and upset that the Judge did not take their situation into account and was very rude IMO I guess that is why I am not so fond of this Judge he can be very rude and it was some stupid reason IIRC the Def lawyer needed it continued. ok I will hush but I think the family has not had any time to heal with all these hearings and trials so Gary's hatred does not surprise me and I have seen the Newsoms angry they just do not show it like the Christians. GOD BLESS THEM ALL may they all have some peace one day.

Good morning NASCARgal. ITA on Baumgartner. He hasn't seem very kind or understanding to the families. I don't know if it's actually the law or just his ruling that Channon's photos in life couldn't be shown, but Cobbins as a cute toddler could. That just wasn't right IMO.

It seems he and his only daughter had a very close and loving relationship, daddy's little girl type thing. I honestly don't blame him. We haven't seen the pictures of Channon or Chris so we can only imagine the extent of the brutality and torture they suffered. But imagine looking at crime scene photos of your only daughter stuffed in trash bags and thrown in a trash can like gabage. As if that wasn't bad enough, imagine looking at the photos of the autopsy and listening to the details of the torture these filthy thugs inflicted on her. Would you be able to let go of the hatred and forgive? I don't think I would be able to do it. JMHO.

I do hope Gary gets some sort of relief if all four trials end in death or LWOP.

I hope Daphne gets grilled to the max during cross-examine. She is very lucky she wasn't charged with accessory after the fact & for lying to police, since she initially lied to investigators.

I do NOT like that woman.. and find her demeanor on the stand ridiculous. She acts like wounded, frail, goody-goody.. when we all know she's anything but, especially if you had a chance to see her myspace, which was still up during Cobbins' trial but taken down towards the end of the trial or shortly after it ended. She had a foul, "gangsta" attitude and seemed unrepentive (is that a word?) for getting involved with "Slim".

She's a real piece of work. These defense attorneys aren't going to let her get away with this wounded duck routine.

Bringing her children to live with a man who abused her & who had only been out of state prison for a few months on a aggravated carjacking conviction.. she knew he sold drugs.. and I am pretty sure she knew he was an armed robber.

I might be wrong but I thought it was because it was a DP case and had something to do with the rules of evidence during the victim's impact statement. Some TN ruling/law. But, they did manage to get Channon's pictures in yesterday. The ones that had LD's fingerprints. I don't recall them being put into evidence during TN vs. Cobbins. So, IMO, this jury will see those photos of a live Channon.

You know I was thinking about this yesterday too. Last time it seemed like the jury didn't get to hear that much about Channon or Chris because they were limited to what they could say and no pics.

If you take those your body needs more and more and then if you go off them you get real sick and have withdrawals is what they are saying most people they would be knock out but thier body become immune to what they do for me or you. I have a really sweet neighbor who had a hard birth and tore from you know where to the other end and she is addicted to hydrocoden because she was prescribed them and then they just stopped giving them to her so she has to buy them on the street. We are trying to get her in somewhere and keep the baby for her so she can get off them with out being so sick trying to take care of her 1yr old alone. I do not condone it but it happens to people and then the doctors just stop it and they go to the streets. Does not seem so in this case she did not need them for anything as far as we have heard.

No way! I can't believe the defense would allow a former prosecutor to sit on this juror. Maybe he's a defense lawyer now? I am amazed, usually lawyers, in general, are not picked. My first thought was she had planned to stay the night at her BFF and then just called to say she was coming home and DC waited up for her. That made me also wonder and thought it seemed a little odd to me since she stayed there alot but I am not sure that is why he feels so much guilt he said he was right there him and his son when they found her SUV and he did not find her but they seem so very close I would think both parents would pick up on distress but I guess we will never know since she is know longer with us.:crying:

Plus she could not say how Channon sounded to her father the Def stood up and said she did not talk to her so that is when she got a little angry and said I CAN TALK FOR MYSELF and yes if something was not right I could tell....sorry not the same wording

great jury question, got into evidence her phone went straight to voicemail after the 12.33am call to her parents, and it was only ever used again to call itself, when somebody tried to access her voicemail at 3am that morning,

she never received a call after 12.33am, and she never made a call on her cell,

it had to have been switched off earlier though as she never answered any of her friends calls after about 10pm,

I'm really curious where that call pinged. If she was assured she wouldn't be hurt and her and Chris freed if they gave them money, she may have thought the situation wasn't as dire as it was. After all, she and Chris don't appear to be the types of kids that would be exposed to this level of violence and may not have been able to imagine the danger they were in.

I agree. They had never encountered people like this and didn't imagine what was going to be done to them. This may well be the explanation for this phone call.
