There is no vent cap on a gas can and anyone who says there is, doesn't have one. I have had four for the past 40 years and none of them have a vent. There is a small cap that you can open on newer ones to let air into the can when you are filling your lawnmower or whatever but it is not a vent as such. George is obfuscating as usual.

well darn, wouldn't you know- I try to google gas cans at Lowe's and their site is down for maintenance- grrr!

however, he did say one of his cans was metal.

But which ever kind he has, he felt the need to use duct tape to cover over the opening so he didn't have to breathe in gas fumes when transporting it home.

His statements made me wonder- gee, did Casey find another purpose for that piece of tape as well, took it off to use it with the rest of the tape on little Caylee's face and head and then forgot to put it back on when she returned them...then at some point stuck a piece on 'sloppily' and he just wasn't paying attention that she had?

I'd like to know why they think it's not alright to work to make ends meet as from george's depo but its alright to sell interviews and live off of their dead granddaughter who they are claiming is alive.

I'd like to know who's daughter or granddaughter they had cremated if they didn't think it was Caylee? Why cremate a child if you didn't believe it was theirs.

IMO this all a publicity stunt to make more money and to try and persuade the jury pool that there's a chance Caylee's alive. JMHO

Oh and by the way according to george they are only making a few thousand off of 48 hours. $20,000 .. but I guess it's measly pittance compared to the $200,000 they made for one. excuse me for licensing fees

I've got the same questions too KT.

For a man that placed great importance in his depo about the value of work and providing financially for his family- to the point he said he worked 3 jobs when Lee was a baby- and that he wanted Casey to be doing the same to provide for Caylee- (but admits that his wife always earned more thru out their marriage)

wow- that sure is some turn around now that there is no longer a minor-aged child living under their roof.

I don't know why they would go to the trouble of having that memorial for the 'pure in heart' to attend, however it was a way to get their message out about their daughter.

Keep in mind that since they have become aware that statements, etc. do get released because of the Sunshine Law prior to trials- I agree with you on the stunt aspect, yep.

and also- more $ is given to causes of still missing children than say-

still dead children.

IMO, this is profiting pure an simple- money isn't being made because of somebody's musical talent, or because they lost their home due to a fire or earthquake or hurricane or because they couldn't afford a burial plot and headstone, or because of expensive medical bills due to some long-term horrible illness.

I personally could never place a value on the memories of my late loved ones. They aren't for sale.

Maybe gas cans were in the truck when casey was putting the tape on Caylee and Tape wasn't big enough so she stuck it on the can.:shrug:

What we've all followed and read and heard about this case has impacted us- the State needs to make the fullest impact with the jurors to ensure tha Caylee will have justice.

I agree cause george and cindy wants casey to walk period.

They dont want casey convicted and I sure hope his statement in his depo somes back to bite him in the azz.. Where he said he'd do anything to get casey out of jail. (paraphasing).. So hoping the D.A's ask him when he's on the stand does that mean you'd lie for casey? does that mean you'd destroy evidence for casey? What about helping casey get rid of Caylee's body?

Nor could I have things here for 28 years that was my oldest son's. Kids ask mom when are you getting rid of that stuff.. My answer was, I'm not it'll be up to you kids when I'm gone. Now daughter wants to use the cradle..That i've kept all that time.

well it is quite confusing because G states that he did place tape on his can, but when Casey returned them there was NO tape, then LE took them and he's basically saying that there was no tape when they were taken into evidence and then when LE returned them there was tape-

just magically appeared!

or

is hetrying to allude that the tape was planted by LE ( shades of LA County and the OJ trial allegations)

but he was quite adamant that gee, golly gosh darn it's a doggone fact that he would never, ever do a sloppy job with the tape, he'd cut it right nice and align it just so and not use such a big piece and basically, just highly critical of the Unknown X that placed that tape is such a shoddy way on his gas can!

I know people will say things like, 'growing up mom always favored so & so, he/she could get away with murder and nothing would happen but if I____'.

This family seems to truly live up to that old saw of getting away with murder.

I have a lot of things around pictures and things. But the death certificate is not out or proudly displayed. What's that all about? Is it for when the producers come to make deals?

I'd also like to know what happened to Caylee's play house and things of Caylee's that were in the back yard? cindy said she has not got rid of anything of Caylee's? BUT if someone offered her money for them they'd be gone in a heartbeat.. Just to make ends meet so to speak..:rolleyes: Also has she brought Caylee's ashes or who's ever ashes she has back to the house? Or have they buried them? She didn't bring them home they were in undisclosed location for safe keeping .. yes umm huh right. :rolleyes: .But then again she may have them home now proudly displayed for producers right next to the death certificate and casey picture.....jmho

They just keep adding and subtracting "stuff" as time goes by.

reading the rest of the day's thread that is locked, I recall that the family has spoken quite a bit on other people's appearances and seem to place great value on the beauty, gorgeousness, charismatic and mesmerizing features specifically of both their daughter and their granddaughter, and Cindy herself brought up a grading scale of looks under oath directly at ZF. Cindy has used descriptive words pertaining to people's weight and their interests and of character habits in a negative way. just sayin' imo

Yes they sure do.. This trial is going to be very interesting with all the lies they have told.. they are helping the defense alright..lmao.

I cant wait I hope we get the Grand Jury Testimony of georges to see how many more lies hes told.. Always best to tell the truth then you never have to try and remember what lies you've told...Im sure theres more lies to come..
