Jacqueline Loraine Miller, who should be celebrating her birthday today, left Lakeland Village Middle School in the county area of Lake Elsinore at 12:35 pm due to a minimum day schedule. Miller’s mother returned at 1545 hours to pick up Miller but was unable to locate her. Lakeland Village Middle School personnel advised Miller attended all of her classes during the day, but was not at the school when her mother attempted to pick her up. Miller who lives within the city limits of Wildomar was not located at her residence. A canvas of the area met with negative results. The Riverside Sheriff’s Bloodhound Tracking Team was summoned to the area to search for Miller, but they were unsuccessful.

Two serious complaints about a stranger accosting young girls at the end of September. Did this school inform the parents of this fact in case local parents were not aware? Were these incidents publicized?

I'm not understanding something. Did the mom not know it was a minimum day? She came to the school at 3:45 it's said. But it says she returned to the school..what does that mean? Return as in going back after dropping off her D in the morning? If the school did not inform parents of a minimum day schedule, there is something seriously wrong here especially given those previous incidents.

It's been a day, or day and a half. Could she be with a friend, spent the night? This doesn't sound good. Praying for this child's safe return.

Every Wednesday at this school is a minimum day, so Mom should have known. I wonder if Jacqueline is involved in some sort of after school activity or if she just "hangs" out at school on minimal days? That's not allowed in our school district. (I'm about 30 miles or so from Lake Elsinore.) Is it possible Mom just forgot Wednesdays were minimal days?

I seriously hope the school district did inform parents. I know any time something happens here we all get a phone call via Parent Link. If nothing was reported to the parents and the school was aware of the two previous incidents, shame on them even if they have nothing to do with Jacqueline. We need to use all available resources to protect our children.

This is scary news. Some man out there trying to abduct a girl.
Jacqueleine is only 11, but at a middle school.

And I agree with everyone else, why didn't mom know
it was early out day?

Did Jacqueleine have band practice or sports practice after school?

There are a few more details mentioned in the above link. There are also comments from parents of children in the school district. It seems as though no calls were made to parents regarding the other incidents until Jacqueline came up missing. I get the feeling they consider her a run away (and there is a theory about why in the article). However, it is interesting to note that the day she disappeared there was a third report of the suspicious man in the area. Whether or not he is connected to Jacqueline, he needs to be caught.

From the article linked above:

Investigators learned that the child had been at a friend's home Wednesday night and had been at a vacant lot in the Lakeland Village area. When deputies searched the area, they found a jacket and book belonging to Jacqueline in the open basement of a demolished home where the child would apparently go to hide or play. Yesterday afternoon, sheriff's officials brought out bloodhounds to search for her using the scent from the items they found, but the trail quickly came up empty.

Jacqueline was reported missing on Wednesday evening, yet at the same time it was reported that she was at a friend's house Wednesday night and at some point had been in that demolished house basement. Did the mom call around to friends' homes that night before reporting her missing? Was she told that her D was not there? It seems to me that if J showed up at the friend's house afterwards, the friend's parent immediately call J's mom. Unless J's mom didn't know of this friend.

What time do the parents of the friend say she left? Was she "planning" to hide out in that basement in anger because of the birthday party cancellation? at NIGHT?
An eleven year old girl, alone at night....is she that gutsy? Maybe.
Was the backpack and book in J's possession on Wednesday when she went to school, or is it possible she left those there another day?

That stranger in the black car, and it being another night that has passed, this doesn't bode well at all. I really do hope she's hiding out and will turn up safely.

Oh wow, thanks for this update! Great news! I was hoping she was still hiding. Gosh, just 11 years old and running away, spending two nights who knows where...I think some family therapy would be good.

Strange, the article says 10pm PDT...it's only 7:10 pm here right now.

I noticed that too about the time on the article. I even called my husband over to double check it. However, PE is not the greatest news reporting media (I'm trying to be nice!). Did you notice how the city of Wildomar became Wild Omar several times through the article? Bad reporting/poor use of spellcheck is a pet peeve of mine!

I am so thankful this little girl was found safe. She definitely needs some discipline. I wish it didn't take her hiding out to call attention to the creep trolling for young girls. Though the article says parents were alerted to the situation BEFORE Jacqueling went missing, several posters to previous articles said that wasn't the case. He's been in the area at least 3 different times. I think he'd be silly to come back a fourth time, but criminals aren't bright.
