why would they display a death certificate if they're still looking for a live Caylee?

Beats me but I think its creepy to display it. :scared:
The Anthony house has become a shrine to Caylee, her death certificate is on display... this can only mean one thing, they are turning the house into a memorial to Caylee and will start charging admission to visitors. Step right up folks and see the playhouse Caylee loved, see her Winnie the Pooh themed bedroom and her collection of toys, clothes and sunglasses. Would you like a photo taken with Caylee's pet dogs and cat? How about a look-see at her death certificate. For a small extra charge you can view never before seen photos and videos of Caylee.
These people make me sick.:cursing:

Dunno, but maybe that is why Cindy referred to Caylee as 'IT" in her 48 Hours interview.
She thinks Caylee is alive, everyone else says she's dead, so Cindy will just call the remains "IT', still unsure herself???
They'll give ya a headache trying to figure them out, that, I do know!!

I wanted to respond to this post from Holden
They say we will be seeing new video of Caylee on 48hrs. How can they do this, I wonder? Does no one involved in this case have a heart? It's very hard to see any film of Caylee for those of us who have come to care for her, yet cindy has no trouble at all digging through those old photos and videos to come up with more of that darling face. Must all of it come down to money, I wonder? Must cindy continue to use and abuse all around her to come up with enough money to keep her at home? All she does there is dig up dirt on anyone who has had the misfortune of being connected to this case. This woman is trying to change history. Can't someone stop her from living off her murdered grand daughter? She raised the murderer, after all. She seems to have no moral center. Someone needs to impose one upon her.
bolding mine. I need to point to the ever growing witness list to answer that statement. We are the ones with the heart in this case if you are waiting for George and Cindy don't hold your breath they moved on long ago.

I went to the 48 Hours site and listened to the 911 call again and was struck by how nonchalant KC is when talking to the 911 operator. Absolutley no panic in her voice when she tells the operator that Caylee is gone. Contrasted with cynthia's panic, it is very suspicious. Especially all the lies that began that night, on that call by KC.

Spyder You or so right why or they still trying to fool the people they know CAYLEE is dead. It has been proven that those were her remains. Everyday something comes out that makes me not understand these people. I don;t think anyone would still think their child was alive after they found their remains and it was proven it was their gc. Just another reason I will never understand this family. I know they want to keep her alive so they can still make money but my goodness she is dead.I will never send them a dime but I do know some people will. I guess they all don;t want to work anymore as long as they live. I am sure they will not have to after all the money they will get for books and movies but hey they still need to admit Caylee is not longer with us. I sure wish she was but they does not help anything for me to wish that. jmho:wub:

So ok, question.... is there anyone out there any more who believes in Casey's innocence? I mean that in all seriousness... there's definitely no one around here saying she didnt' do it, every post anywhere else (i.e. responses to these reports on the news sites) says the poster thinks Casey is (very obviously) guilty. This leads me to believe COV or no, they're never going to be able to convince a jury-- ANYwhere-- that Casey did not murder Caylee.
LKB's career may very well be on its way to over after this and PS1.

It was a long time ago and she was pregnant? So, she wasn't drinking. Because she doesn't drink. So says George.
Or, she was working. Checking on friends to make sure they were having a good time? Forgot who said that.
Or, was she looking for 'clues'?

Hi msgator, I sure hope that whoever the 12 jurors are going to be that they will be able to tell that the dramatics that the defense is most certainly going to use can tell they are all smoke and mirrors. The prosecution will have a chance to cross everyone of their witnesses and then re-cross if the defense brings up something that is just to off to imagine. Which I do believe that TL, AH, RM, JG, MH and AD for just a few that will have to watch their backs when the defense goes to question them. Mark Furhman commented on the Anthony home being "meticulous".
He thought it odd a family so neat would not notice their grandchild had been missing for 30 days.
Annie mentioned also that the family cleaned 24/7, recent pics don't show a meticulous home however. I wonder if they are starting to crack being pretty much housebound with just the two of them for company. Or they never got things back together after the police searches.

I often wonder what's going thru her head when she's applying her Tammy Faye Baker mascara before court.
What she thinks when she hears the guard coming for her to take her to court, when she's walking thru the courtroom door, Cameras around, etc.
Air rushing to fill a vacuum?
she thinks she a SuperStar, what else would she think? :biggrinjester:

From your link:
Orange County Jail records show her father, George Anthony, dropped off a $50 money order at the jail's video visitation center sometime between today and Wednesday. The money order was signed by her mother, Cindy Anthony.
Cindy still holds the purse strings, it seems.
I can just imagine the discussion that ensued over how much money to put into the account...........
Poor george, he'll never live down his wayward past with the casa anthony money.
Good morning all,
Haven't been on too much lately, have a lot going on....
However, I found out thru a source that when a person is charged with money fraud and of credit card fraud etc., they they must make restitution, this would include money sent for their account in prison...
This is just a thought, maybe that was happening to Casey and why Baez paid the bank back the money....
I don't know how true this is...so please don't hold me to it.....
I think that if Baez is going to use the fact that Casey made restitution for the theft he should have to prove she was the one that paid the money back. No more free rides that's what got her in so much trouble in the first place her parents always bailing her out and not holding her accountable. Now Caylee is dead and nothing her parents do can bring her back.
George has always been her gopher. Nothing has changed here.

George, take this to the jail for Casey, she's out of chips and dip, and you know how she gets when she's hungry. Come right home, no lollygagging about, you still have to finish dusting and mopping. I read this short article written by a teenager in a Fl jail about how he hates the days he has to go to court. I would imagine casey's situation is quite similiar to what he described and just as unpleasant, if not more so, especially considering she knows all eyes are on her. Bummer for casey. :tonguewag:

At 4 a.m., the deputy comes and wakes everybody up that has court and tells them to be ready by 4:30 a.m. During that half hour, you can eat breakfast, shave and brush your teeth.

Thank you, witness.
I was going to bring Holden's post over myself, it touched me so deeply.
It's good to know Caylee will have people like you, your family and others in the community standing up for her during the trial.

I'm going to guess that Cindy & George aren't getting communication from Casey in the jail. Could they have read yesterday that her account was overdrawn, just like the rest of the public? If so, can you imagine how Cindy felt about it?
And, were George's words just empty words, when he stated that he was going to fully support Casey?

Eating jail breakfast at 4-4:30 a.m. Court hearing starts at 9:30 a.m. An inmate could be getting pretty hungry by the time the hearing ends. Takes energy to sit there and behave like your attorneys have instructed you to do. Sitting still, keeping your mouth closed, just have to be burning the calories.

If you mean support as in dollars, George hadn't supported anyone in a long time, if you mean sticking by her during the trial, I think it's questionable. I believe George is torn between his daughter who is alive and his grandaughter who is deceased. He feels guilt for not being a better father which if he had been may have kept this tragedy from occuring, so therefore he stands with his daughter. He also feels guilt that his crappy parenting helped create a daughter who could kill her own child, and he wants to stand up for the grandaughter. Which George will be on the witness stand? I think it's a crap shoot.

Casey "should be" not feeling too good this week. She was denied some of her commissary items, because she didn't have enough money in her account (bet she is really mad about that). She didn't get wonderful comments from the public in regards to seeing her tattoo. Instead much focus was on the appearance of her unsightly back.
And, the State has filed two responses to her Motions, claiming that her Motions are fatally flawed. ....oh wait, unless the defense tells her about this, or she sees it on TV, she may not even realize this yet.

KENNEY BADEN: The state had led you to believe that there’s duct tape around the mouth.
RODRIGUEZ: Oh, you’re saying there’s not?
KENNEY BADEN: All we can say is that’s going to be a disputed issue.
BAEZ: I think they botched this from the very beginning by arresting Casey Anthony without fully investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this child’s disappearance.
KENNEY BADEN: It was ruined and spoiled in a lot of ways. For instance…the most important piece of evidence that the state thought they had, which is this demonizing duct tape, was contaminated by the FBI.
A lab technician's DNA was found on the duct tape. Along with DNA belonging to an unidentified person…
KENNEY BADEN: Another party that did not belong to the FBI, did not belong to law enforcement, did not belong to Casey or any of her family members that is on that duct tape.
MACALUSO: A stranger. It was a stranger involved.
KENNEY BADEN: Somebody else is the killer of this child.
BAEZ: They want you to believe that this 22-year-old girl is a master forensic sleuth who could outwit and outsmart the entire FBI and still be dumb enough to leave her child’s body off the side of the road…a block from her house.

How dare this family and these attorneys accuse LE of not fully investigating the "facts?" What "facts?" The ones they were given by the child's mother and grandparents? Those were "facts?"
How much more time, effort and money was LE supposed to put into going along with the Anthony charade? Those people were no more interested in finding Caylee than in finding a fly in their soup. So what "facts" were LE supposed to investigate more fully?
And why aren't these liars being challenged on what they say to a national audience? This is just a disgrace. imo

It was a mistake, but they won't all realize it until after Casey is convicted. Casey is ultimately the one that will have to pay the most. Her attorneys will move on to bigger and better things and will have another notch to add to their belts after they are done w/this case.

Jessie was good for Casey and LOVED Caylee, yes Casey had her problems with him, but even Cindy did not like him and made it known. Why?? And we know thats true based on what Cindy has implied to LE and Dick Casey about Jessie after caylee went "missing".
In a way ill bet Casey Anthony is a little relieved that she is away from Cindy. Shes somewhere where Cindy cant get at her.

This entire article, every word of it, makes me want to throw something, but I especially love it when I read stuff like this:
BAEZ: "I think they botched this from the very beginning by arresting Casey Anthony without fully investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this child’s disappearance."
This is just a disgrace. imo

Oh sheesh. None of their accusations will hold water once this goes to court. That's why they are on 48 Hours spewing their nonsense. It can go undisputed. If Maggie Rodriguez handles this interview the way she handled the Anthony's interview on the Early Show, then there will be no tough questions, only softball ones. LKB and TM will steamroll right over her.
I find it interesting that A. Lyon is not participating in this circus of a show. I have to give her credit for that. I wonder how she feels about the other attorneys from the defense team participating though? She can't be happy about it, but not much she can do about it I suppose. I am wondering if she is starting to feel sorry that she ever agreed to come on board?
Also, nobody ever said Casey was a master sluether, except for JB in his quote to 48 Hours. The defense got lucky because Caylee's body was not found until 6 months after she was murdered. If Caylee's body would have been found the first month she was missing, there could have been a mountain of evidence against their client. Time and the elements erased the evidence, not Casey's "master forensic sluethiness".:sneaky:

Imo, Casey's conviction will be fine comeuppance for her and her vile family who taught her to lie and to believe she was bullet proof. She lied and ran her provocative game on her not bright, rookie lawyer and because she's had a couple decades to hone her skills, was successful in making him see things her way. That's what will put her either on the gurney with the needle or on death row for the rest of her life, and good on her. Her folks taught her well. Hope they're all very pleased with themselves as they continue to reap the benefits of their narcissism and moral deficiency.

Wonder if the SA's office will show a list of all the TV's shows that the defense attorneys were on to nix the COV. I hope the judge leaves it right there in orlando. Then says to defense team you all are screaming for change of venue because of all the media coverage. When it's the defense team has been on every T.V station there is. There's no where on gods green earth that has not carried this coverage thanks to and and the Anthony's, Sorry folks you created this monster now you deal with it.

Good Morning. Looking forward to the hearing on Friday. A couple things.
1. The "shrine" in Casa Anthony. I think "this" shrine follows along with the first one that Cindy made before the Greta interview way back when. No one can convince me that Cindy didn't go through that house and stage those bedrooms.
2. I don't wish ill on anyone. But I wonder how all of the people directly or indirectly lining the pockets of the Anthony's or helping further the defense propaganda would feel if the issue came close to home?
How would the producers of 48 hours feel if one of their children suffered the same fate and other reporters gave a platform (and money) to people covering up the crime? How would Baden or Baez feel if a child in their family was slaughtered and the defense furthered lies and half-truths to get the perp off? Would they all still feel so strongly as they claim now? I think not...
3. What ever happened to follow up questions in reporting? What is this new thing about "it's important to get their perspective out there?" So if my perspective is that a space ship came down, snatched Caylee and replaced her body with a twin pod creature.........reporters would just let me spew this nonsense and not even follow up? I just don't get it...
Anyway, thanks for listening. My own opinion. Be well.

My bet is that they say the evidence, ie Caylee's remains, were tampered with. Meaning: the duct tape was placed on her mouth/jaw area after the remains were found, by someone connected with LE or the State.
How else can they explain this amazing statement, other than saying that LE did it.

You are preaching to the choir, Say! Casey was first arrested for lying to LE about virtually everything she told them to try to find her missing daughter. She was also charged w/child endangerment for not reporting Caylee missing for 31 days. It was not until the evidence from the trunk of Casey's car came back w/evidence of human decomposition and evidence that a dead Caylee had been in the trunk of Casey's car (per the hair w/the death band on it), that Casey was arrested for the 1st degree murder of Caylee. So LE was investigating the facts of the case and the evidence that they had available to them. LE was made aware of Caylee's disappearance in mid July, Casey was not arrested for Caylee's murder until the middle of October. LE had 3 months to investigate the case and they went where ever the evidence took them. The evidence brought them to the conclusion that Casey was responsible. The way JB is talking in this interview, he makes it seem like Casey was arrested for murder on the very night that LE was contacted. It burns me up. If JB and the rest of the defense team did not want LE to charge Casey w/Caylee murder, then they should have been running to LE to show them evidence of Casey's innocence.
JB is no longer just twisting the facts, he is downright lying, IMO.:sneaky:

The duct tape on Caylee's skull, if I recall correctly Roy Kronk talked about that tape in his call to his supervisor, it was mentioned in the notes written by the detectives when they went to the place where her remains were and the medical examiner described it's placement when she performed the autopsy. This entire article, every word of it, makes me want to throw something, but I especially love it when I read stuff like this:
BAEZ: "I think they botched this from the very beginning by arresting Casey Anthony without fully investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this child’s disappearance."
This is just a disgrace. imo
Ditto for me. It is so frustrating. I really wonder why or how people could be like this. Even though I know it will come back at them, it is still frustrating.

I've read a couple posts agreeing with you, Syd. I think I disagree. I don't remember my mother's death certificate reading "Natural Causes" or anything like that. It did list Cause of Death, but not manner of death.
The ME's report d/or autopsy would list manner of death.

I ~believe~ that the skull/hair/duct tape was "moved" when Kronk first lifted/kicked the bag. Even though that's all that happened, LE would not have seen or photographed it in situ as it had been originally. Close, but not quite.
I believe that the ME then photographed the skull/hair/duct tape in various positions (since the original position was lost) to show how the tape would fit across the mouth and nose. *This* is what is fueling LKB's baloney about bad duct tape evidence.
The ME said the duct tape was in such a position that it help the mandible to the skull. This pretty much says it all to me, and I think LKB will be dining on Crow a la Burdick before the trial is over.

"When I saw Casey (in July), I could tell something was wrong," said Cindy Anthony. "I don't know how I would react any differently. After I made the first 911 call, Casey thanked me in the car because she said I did something that she couldn't do, which was go to the police."
http://crimesearchersonline.com/index.php?option=com_myblog&task=tag&category=George+and+Cindy+Anthony&Itemid=60
Well then why did Casey want to know why they wanted to talk to HER in the 3rd 911 call? And why did she proceed to lie to the police at every turn? Riddle me that one Rosebud.

She thanked her? When she called Cindy from jail the next evening, she wasn't in a thanking mood anymore.

It is nuts.
And what's more nuts is that they can say it, despite everything to the contrary-- what's the difference between them saying that, and lying?
And why can defense attornies lie like that?
I know this is an old question, but I never can find a good answer.
Is justice all about who can tell the most believable fabrication? About who can lie the best?
It upsets me, frustrates me, and confuses me.
It does seem as though the dog with the best trick wins. Maybe we should just put Jose and LDB on Letterman and let him decide.
No, it sure does not seem fair or in the interests of justice.

I'm sure they will have a reasonable explanation: it wasn't on her mouth....it was on her jaw. They miss the point of WTH was it on her at all. What innocent explanation is there for Caylee's body to be found with duct tape on ANY part of her body. IMHO I believe that I would have the same feeling of disgust for Caylee if the duct tap were binding her little hands together. The use of duct tape (Regardless of where on her body it was located) is heinous to me. The placement makes no difference! Argh...:cursing:

Be well.

ITA kj, no accountability for what they report, none! It's all about sensationalizing and making it so bizarre that people will tune in!
NEWSFLASH ... that already happened a long time ago ! And the A's and the defense have themselves to blame ... THEY are the ones perpetuating the story and all of it's details ... so why NOT ask the tough questions? we've had our fill of spin and avoiding the tough questions ...

Perhaps both Conway and Cindy's new media coach did brief her before taping the 48 Hours episode. I can't stand the thought of watching the program but also wouldn't miss it for the world. I think we'll see some better acting by Cindy :-(
In the little bit I saw of Cindy in this 48 Hours episode...........I think it is really bad acting by her.........real bad..........are there real tears?

Just reading those excerpts tells me there is no way I can watch that program. I am clenching my teeth with anger already. It's like watching that clip of Cindy talking about the odor from the pizza over and over and over again. I CAN'T STOMACH IT. I sure hope the other side is fairly represented in this 48 hrs special, but even so, I wouldn't be able to get through all this lying and grandstanding to hear it.
jmo
I find myself riled up about this myself. It is really bothering me big time. I don't think there will be anyone to speak from the other side. I know this has been said before........but enough is enough..........I wish it would all just go away ............... of course with justice for Caylee.

The way cindy might have acted differently was to NOT WAIT until July. She allowed her sociopath of a daughter to leave with her precious grand daughter in JUNE. cindy, who knew casey better than anyone has or will - allowed her to kidnap Caylee and she did nothing about it. No wonder she's running around like an idiot - she is one.:cursing:

Here is what I don't get about the defense making such a deal about the tape - that it wasn't on the baby's mouth, that the state is making all this up about the tape, blah, blah, blah. They are saying some one else did this - kidnapped Caylee, murdered her, put her in garbage bags and tossed her in the trash. So why make such a fuss about a piece of evidence your 'innocent' client had nothing to do with?

well for one it was a stranger, and a stranger means its someone we (casey and Co) dont know, and if that doesnt convince you well then the tape wasnt on Caylees mouth.
Baez: Anyone that we dont know would be a stranger and a stranger that we dont know wouldnt put duct tape on Caylee's mouth. No more questions please. It will all come out at trial.

I think that this is one of the motions that will be heard tomorrow.
Motion to Compel Reciprocal Discovery
State's Motion (9/10/09): http://www.wftv.com/pdf/20838315/detail.html
Defense's Response (9/17/09): http://www.wftv.com/pdf/20972653/detail.html
Since they are such tightwads, how can they determine that when they have not even set up a secure website for photos? Have they picked up all the discovery turned over by the state or have they let that languish with the tips CD they haven't picked up since last last year?
The way Todd spoke about it, it was "We have discovered evidence..." that indicates an investigation and not just a different perspective on the discovery turned over to the defense. If he had stated that "We have determined, based on the discovery, her innocence." then maybe they can claim no new discovery.

Speaking about Cindy waiting, On one of the old NG shows, Dr. perper was on and told how long it would take for a body to decompose and cause of death be difficult or impossible to tell. Cindy was on that NG show; she called in. when you look at the dates that DC was in the woods searching, I bet Cindy had her calculator out, because why wouldnt DC be in the woods alot sooner? he knew and said it was Kio Marie's statement that got him out to look. Why wasnt he there sooner? her statement to LE was waaay in the beginning.

Going to court from jail
At 4 a.m., the deputy comes and wakes everybody up that has court and tells them to be ready by 4:30 a.m. During that half hour, you can eat breakfast, shave and brush your teeth.

Yeah George... I especially remember how sensitive and caring she was to you when she was trying to keep you away from the trunk of her car. Remember that?

Which is why she's shunned by the defense and the A's ... they can't handle her pointed questions!

I've read a couple posts agreeing with you, Syd. I think I disagree. I don't remember my mother's death certificate reading "Natural Causes" or anything like that. It did list Cause of Death, but not manner of death.
The ME's report d/or autopsy would list manner of death.
I still find the display of the death certificate certifiably ding-dong crazy, and more than a tad bit disgusting. Even if the manner is not listed, they know durn well what it was.
I have a death certificate which also lists the following besides the cause of death.
If death was due to external causes (violence) fill in also the following:
Accident, suicide, or homicide
-----------
By the way - if Jose can't get his server up and running, how did LKB see these photos?
The tape quite possibly could have moved, I doubt by very much as it was stuck to the hair remaining on her skull in such a way that the hair had to be cut to remove the tape. Considering there was no flesh or internal organs remaining due to decomp and animal/insect activity, that tape had to be pretty tightly affixed to still be attached.

The program reveals that the Anthonys have turned their home into a shrine to Caylee and they keep her death certificate out in the open. Cindy says, "It [Caylee] wasn't Casey's child. It was our child. She belonged to all of us."

From what I read in the autopsy report, I have no doubt that Dr. G will be able to explain how the tape was positioned prior to decomposition. Something held the lower mandible in place, and the strips of duct tape would be that likely "something." ...strips of duct tape found with remains. It's not hard to use logic. There are other possibilities, but they kind of defy logic.

Who does the birth certificate list as the mother? I believe it says Casey Anthony. Cindy should get that straight, because her confusion over who was Caylee's mother may have played a part in what happened to her. IMO
