Searchers are now focusing on the area between Shelton and Westport. The search area is about 1,900 square miles covering Grays Harbor County, the southeast corner of Thurston County and a small piece of northwest Lewis County.

Air searches today will be weather-dependent.

This guy took off from the little airport in the town that I live in. There was helicopters and planes GALORE in the sky for the first couple of days looking for him and they haven't found anything. Now they say he landed in Westport (on the coast) and took off from there.. probably heading back to Snohomish airport. Maybe while they are looking for him... they will find something about Lindsey too. It is the same general search area. We can hope anyway!

Search For Missing Pilot Moves South

Due to weather, crews were not able to perform as many air searches Wednesday, but family members said they took the time to post flyers in the area.

According to reports, the plane had no emergency locator beacon or transponder on board and no flight plan was filed.

New information moves search base for missing pilot

For the past three days, search and rescue personnel have conducted air search operations to locate Last and his missing airplane. Searchers from WSDOT Aviation, Civil Air Patrol, Washington Air Search and Rescue and the Snohomish County Sheriffs Office have participated in the effort. Lasts plane departed from Harvey Field Airport in Snohomish on Saturday afternoon. He was expected to return to Harvey Field later that afternoon.

The search for a missing Lake Roesiger pilot and his Taylorcraft two-seat airplane is moving to Olympia Airport.

Fifty-one year old Gordon Last has been missing since Saturday, Oct. 10. He did not say where he was going. Searchers have received tips from witnesses and a radar forensics team that suggest he may have landed in Westport, walked into town and then departed, flying in a northeast direction.

Air Search Suspended For Missing Snohomish County Pilot

Searching since Oct. 11, rescue teams flew for a total of about 250 hours and about 175 personnel participated in the search. Two helicopters from King and Snohomish counties also aided in the air search.
