Good Morning all. What happened to all the comments over at CBS? I was still so disgusted with the Anthonys, I wanted to post one and there are none there now?

Maybe they were waiting on the check to clear before they sent casey any money. Or maybe this was cindy's way of saying you have to watch your figure honey..You know how they like talking in code.

Or maybe it was Cindy's way of saying ignore us in court and we'll cut you off.:sneaky:

Oh goodie. More reasons to avoid 48 hours:

The special, which will air Saturday night on "48 Hours Mystery," promises to deliver exclusive interviews and shocking new clues that could change the investigation into Anthony, who is charged with murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee. (What??)

http://www.clickorlando.com/news/21300381/detail.html

The network released some clips from the show, including a quote from Anthony's lead attorney, Jose Baez, who says, "I think they botched this from the beginning."

Anthony's mother, Cindy Anthony, asks, "How horrible would it be if Caylee's mother is wrongly convicted?" and, "In a moment's notice, our lives can change."

George Anthony continues to stand by his daughter, saying, "Casey would not hurt Caylee. She wouldn't do that."

Bolding by me....

I think what JB meant to say is that he has botched the handling of this case from the beginning. :sneaky:

"The state has led you to believe that there's duct tape around the mouth," attorney Linda Kenney Baden tells CBS' Maggie Rodriguez. "All we can say is that's going to be a disputed issue."

http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/entertainment_tv_tvblog/2009/10/casey-anthony-defense-team-tells-cbs-48-hours-mystery-that-somebody-else-is-the-killer-of-this-child.html

Why dispute the duct tape being around Caylee's mouth if SODDI?

Bolding by me....

Because the defense team is grasping at straws. If SODDI then they should be able to go to LE and the prosecution and have Casey tell them what she knows about Caylee's disappearance. So since they have nothing, all they can do is to try to dispute the strong evidence against their client.

They are at it again. Blowing smoke up everyone's a##..
Baez's favorite thing to do. When he gets questioned about something he says he pulls the old, "we're going to try this in court" bs...

If JB really just wanted to try this case in court, then he and the rest of the "Dream Team" defense team would stop appearing on all these national media shows and just work on the case. They only want to try this case in the court of public opinion where they can manipulate the facts.

New Clues??? How about revealing FACTS!!!! FACTS! FACTS!

I don't care how many times Cindy and George repeat their own lies. It won't make them truths.

Hopefully we'll get to see some of the results of the plant and bug testing. Pru has been watching for it for so long!

It doesn't. The defense is trying to play a game and in the process they are making a mockery of our criminal justice system. And they have to do more than place a seed of doubt. They have to place reasonable doubt, which I don't think they will be able to do. If their client was truly innocent she would not be hiding behind her attorneys and hiding behind her right to remain silent. If she was truly innocent, then she would be talking to LE telling them everything that she knew about how Caylee got out of her possession and who took her.

I agree with all the great points you are making today Lady H. Especially the point above. There is absolutely no reasonable explanation for this defendant lying to the police on July 16 when they were asking her questions to help them find her daughter.

The only explanation for all the lies told that day, is that she is guilty as hell in the murder of Caylee. IMO.

IMO, there is nothing this defense team can do at trial, to get away from all the lies.

I think those bugs will play a very important role in this trial.

BBM - Bingo! Especially after Casey "searched" for 31 days and found no clues. :tonguewag:

I keep remembering that the charges against Casey were handed down "before" Caylee's remains were ever found. I do believe that the evidence collected from the car, along with witness testimony will be huge in the trial. But most of all, it easily could be Casey's own actions and lies that will have the most impact with the jury. The State has a lot to work with, and it will be interesting to see how they present the case at trial.

And if it was a 'stranger' as the defense is going to suggest on 48 hours, why was Casey looking for 'clues' at places she said Zanny went to?

ish

And why not tell TonE that Caylee was kidnapped by Zanny? He worked at Fusion! If Zanny was a regular there wouldn't TonE have seen her and maybe know something about her or who she hung out with there? It makes no sense whatever spin you put on it. Jose just looks like an A** for even floating that defense.

Casey's statements to LE are going to be a huge problem for the defense. As well as some of the statements that Casey made in her phone calls and video jail visitations. Even the DCF employee has something to add to this trial, as he did speak with Casey a few times after her initial arrest. The defense will likely try to keep all of this out of the trial, but I feel that a jury is entitled to see Casey's behavior and hear more of her lies after her incarceration.

I went to the 48 Hours site and listened to the 911 call again and was struck by how nonchalant KC is when talking to the 911 operator. Absolutley no panic in her voice when she tells the operator that Caylee is gone. Contrasted with cynthia's panic, it is very suspicious. Especially all the lies that began that night, on that call by KC.

Oh and don't forget the phone call Casey made to her parents’ house the night she was arrested.
