The remains found Thursday in Denton County are those of a Coppell woman who disappeared in April, the victim of an apparent murder, officials said Friday.

Kathleen Garza’s body was found near Lewisville Lake. The remains were taken to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office, which used dental records to identify them, Coppell Deputy Police Chief Gary Nix said.

Searchers found clothing, bones and hair Thursday afternoon near Texas 121 and Fish Hatchery Road in Denton County, Nix said.

Garza, 49, a former middle-school teacher in Coppell, disappeared the morning of April 16 after having coffee at Coppell’s Market Street Grocery. Joining her was Leroy Tellgren, 74, the Carrollton man who police suspect of killing her.

Leroy Tellgren was indicted on a murder charge in July and has been jailed since his arrest. Bail has been set at $1 million.

Wow, what an odd and very sad story! Why did he murder her, because she resisted his advances (posssibly after finding out his "business ventures" were fakes and he was after her romantically)?

RIP :rose:
