Kristen Greene missing from NC [FOUND SAFE]

A girl who my daughter is "friends" with on facebook has sent my daughter the following:

This is apparently the facebook friend's sister. I haven't been able to find any other info. on her but I am pretty useless at finding things on the www. If anyone can help out in this regard, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Her sister posted on the HFTM forum. Not sure if I'm allowed to post a link to another forum. There are pictures of Kristin, and a description of the car and she is believed to be traveling with a 16 year old black male....her boyfriend? His picture is also posted.

ETA Correction; it appears the moderator of the forum posted the info.

all I found was a myspace page...but not for sure it's her...same name, in north carolina - other than that didn't find a darned thing.

FOREST CITY — The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a missing 16-year-old R-S Central High School student who left home Tuesday morning.

Kristen Faith Greene, a white female who is five-feet, six-inches tall, weighs 95 pounds and has straight, bleached blonde hair and blue eyes, is believed to be traveling with Christopher Carpenter, 16, a black male who is five feet, eight inches tall and weighs 165 pounds.

Greene and Carpenter may be driving a white 2002 Hyundai with tag number YXJ-4478. According to RCSD Detective Sgt. Leon Godlock, no direction of travel is known.

Carpenter is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 15 on a misdemeanor public disturbance charge. He was also arrested, and is scheduled to appear in court in January, on a misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

Why is she listed as Endangered Missing? If the guy is her boyfriend, it sounds like they may have just run off together???

Maybe there's more to the story that I'm not aware of.

I think one of the flyers or articles list her as "endangered, runaway" - probably because she is accompanied by a male, and is under age (the "endangered" part).

Hope she gets in touch with her family, to at least let them know she's OK!

Thanks all for finding the info. you've put out here.

I don't know why she's listed an endangered. I'll try to find out more info. from my daughter although it might take a while as the time difference between her location and mine is 9 hours.

It would appear she's listed as endangered because tipsters have said she's being held against her will.

The FB link has been updated today and it looks like she has been found safe! Now I wish the rest of our missing would have the same outcome. :smile:
