well i'm not sure Kate has been diagnosed with OCD but she has joked around about it before. OCD is not something bad or evil....I think Kates very organized and that's a great thing. I just can't believe she went months without checking her acct.

BTW what did she do with that 100,000 she took out....first she said the judge said put it back then she said she gave half to Jon and she kept half and paid bills then she said she put it back in the bank....Which is it?


My guess is that she meant she gave Jon $50K and then put the other $50k back in and payed bills with it. That's what I understood when I watched the interview.

I agree with you.
IMO the cameras need to be turned off and the show off the air. This has gone way to far and both parents are making it worse

Although I never post on this forum I do stay very up to date about this family. I'm so right there with you, shut that series down now. That show serves no purpose than for several adults and a production company to make mega bucks off of a group of sibilings who aren't given a choice about anything. Sell the mansion and move back to the house that hasn't sold and start mending some bridges these adults, who are the parents and role models for the children, have burned. These children have the right to have relationships with other family members. The very same ones Kate cut access to b/c of money.

It's time to focus on these children and their needs. They don't need private schooling. Public schooling with parent involvement gives just as good an education. It wouldn't hurt either for these precious children to be raised by their parents and not the several nannies, body guards and film crew.

The money issue should be looked into, audited or a third party evaluate. This goes beyond who is paying what vs. who should be paying. There is a sizeable amount of money that has been generated by these children. Perhaps, they should receive a representative who can go through all the books to make sure the kids are truly being provided for.

I don't even watch the re-runs anymore. This is REALITY I don't need to see. And those kids should not have to "perform" anymore. Please don't mistake my criticism of Jon as endorsement of Kate.

They have both contributed to this situation, and continue to send it spinning further out of control every day with their insistence of taking everything to the media for public consumption. Kate is wrong, Jon is wrong. Jon's timing of his refusal to allow the children to be filmed is suspicious at best, and Kate pretending to only be concerned for the kids with her assertions that they are missing the crew and the trips is balderdash. They are both self-absorbed egomaniacs, IMO, and their children are the ultimate weapons and victims all rolled into one.

My heart goes out to those children who will have to live with the fallout of their parents' immaturity and self-centered decision-making for the rest of their lives.

I'm surprised the bank didn't notify Kate of the number and size of the witrhdrawals. I have my banking set to send me a text if any withdrawals are made. An account with that much money in it, I would be checking it regularly, just in case someone hacked into it. Especially if that is all the money I had to feed my kids with as Kate' states.

I wonder if the bank doesn't have some liability, they were quick enough to waive the overdraft fees.

My banks the same way and i have a gut feeling Kate stays on top of her banking so i seriously doubt she went a month without checking her accts.

I don't believe Kate has OCD. She is a typical perfectionist, with a capital P. But being a perfectionist does not equal OCD. OCD is in it's own ballpark way out there, lol...

I also suspect that Kate had an upbringing where she was spoiled and endulged, basically allowed to get away with way too much in her behavior and that is a bad mix for somebody with a perfectionist personality. Therefore, we have a created monster. IMO.
I agree with your assessment for the most part. The term OCD has been thrown around so loosely all the time nowadays and I believe Kate was using it on herself in a joking manner to describe her fixation with "perfectionism."

I don't know if she grew up "spoiled,"(nasty attitude not withstanding), as much as deprived . I think they have both reacted like kids in a candy store with all the newfound money (as have Lotto winners and some new "celebrities"). It is definitely NOT attractive and more often than not - they end up losing everything.

Jon Gosselin may have tragedy on his side ... the death of the judge's wife will probably give him a week to spend the loot he raided from the couple's joint bank account. Judge Arthur Tilson was supposed to decide today whether Jon would be ordered to return the $230,000 Kate says he took from their account. Since the judge canceled the hearing because his wife died and won't be back until next week, Jon probably has seven glorious days to blow through the cash. Kate's lawyers could go to another court, but the likelihood is another judge would not get in the middle of this mess. One source connected with the case says if Jon spends the money, the likely recourse for Kate is to dock Jon $230,000 when the assets of their marriage are finally divided up.

Of course, Jon could be a good boy and not spend the money he withdrew ... but how likely is that?

I used to think he was passive-aggressive but boy, it seems like he's gotten over the passive part. The guy acts like he's teetering on the lunatic fringe and quite frankly if I were Kate I'd get a court order of protection from him. Kate needs to :chicken: as far and as fast as she can. She wouldn't be the first wife to end up hurt or dead, because her spouse just snapped one day.

If it was court-ordered and something Jon was granted as part of his custody arrangements, then I think Kate should suck it up and just get through the day. If it was something that was not official but that they came up with on their own, then given the recent circumstances, they should stay far away from each other and not do a joint party. There's worse things for kids than not having both parents at the same party . . . and that's having both parents there but fighting or not communicating (civilly) at all.

Most courts order a limited time for non custoduial parents (even in joint custody situations) on special days. Say is a birthday falls on the mom's day, then dad gets at least 2 hours on the special day.
I think it is petty and childish of Jon to want to create problems on Madi & Cara's special day.
There is nothing to say that he can't have a special day for them during his time.
He should be the bigger person and just keep the conflict down for the girls.

What if Madi and Cara want their father there?
How is it creating problems for his children if he's there?

Why not take them out of school for the day? Someone upthread commented that it's fine for the kids to miss school for filming opportunities, why not so the twins can spend a full half day with each parent. I don't think it's appropriate to take them out of school for a day because their parents are being immature brats. This can easily be worked out without the twins having to make sacrifices themselves. If Jon wants to spend a day with them, why not Jon gets them all day saturday, then they switch on sunday, jon gets the sextuplets and kate gets the twins. Problem solved. Easy solution, impossible to explain to fighting children... ie. jon and kate :rolleyes:

But the reality, if you will, is a bit more complicated. Producers have for now stopped shooting footage of the couple's eight children, but they are still filming mom Kate alone. They also have previously unaired footage of Jon and the kids that will probably turn up in future episodes, according to a person close to the show. So fans may not notice much difference in the days ahead.

I agree. I think what we saw in the early days was "Intimidated Jon" who certainly seemed nicer by comparison. Then we got "Break-out Jon" and that version was an eye-opener.

Had they remained together, that's probably how things would have continued to play out. Now, of course, he needs to figure out some way to support himself when his contract with TLC is up and my guess is a portion of that support would be, at the very least, temporary alimony (assuming you can get that when you have joint custody in Pennsylvania).

I saw a picture somewhere of the Mercedes being delivered to him not too long ago. And then his 2-seater BMW. What every daddy of 8 kids needs. :cursing:
I don't know what is more wasteful than him having 2 luxury cars (that the kids don't fit into, like you say) - but then the carousing, the monetary withdrawls/spending, having the x-rated sleepover, bad-mouthing his wife on Natl TV, moving to NYC or the $27,000 ring.....

When his kids grow up, he's gonna have some 'splaining to do. imo.

p.s. - I'm not absolving Kate in any way. She's right up there with him but for different things.

The shopping, the 60K/yr apt in NYC, going to Cannes, off to the Hamptons, all of it is nauseating. I heard him in that vid with the photogs today claiming his trip to Cannes "was a set up."

It's starting to seem like a pro-Kate or pro-Jon board right now. IMO, neither of these parents are acting like responsible people. I don't care for either of them at the moment, as everything seems to be all about them, with the tabloids chiming in constantly of which parent is the "bad guy". Just wish someone (court hopefully) will put a stop to these media performances on both sides and focus on what this is doing to the children. This has gone on too long and is getting worse by the day. No matter what happens down the road, the 8 children are going to have these parents forever. I'd like to think it will someday be better than what is going on right now for them.

I think this TLC show is starting to be creepy. I use to call this the Learning Channel. What is being learned here with all this public bickering? Certainly nothing good for the Gosselin children.

PLEASE don't mistake the people here who are disgusted with Jon right now for being pro-Kate. I think we're all disgusted with her, too (maybe with a few exceptions). She may have been a nasty person in the marriage, but she has not sank to Jon's low right now. Jon is out on an erratic, self-destructive path that is hurting his children and destroying the security that they had. Kate sure as heck doesn't get a free-pass, but I really do believe that she is trying to make this ok for the kids (yea, she's failed, but I think her intentions are in the right place, imo). She's not out on the town, partying, smoking, drinking, displaying trashy boyfriends to the world, blowing all of their money on frivilous things.
But right now, it just doesn't seem that Jon cares how things affect his kids. He's right, "actions speak louder than words". How many times did he repeat that? Maybe somebody should play it back for him a million times until it sinks in.

I don't think that's the bike. That's the guy from American Choppers (or whatever it's called) and obviously Kate is on the back of the bike, not Jon.

Hey, no Kate love here! I'm just highly disappointed with Jon. He took a clear lead in PR and squandered it by being a tool. I already knew what Kate was, I didn't know what Jon was until recently, thus my discussion on him.

If it were Jon trying to limit Kate's time with the kids on their Bday, she'd be sobbing on the phone to her buddies at the View, and choking back her tears with Meredith Viera. she should do what a good mother would do for her children (who love their father) and suck it up for the day.

If they were able to fake a happy marriage when TLC was picking up the tab for the Hawaiian vacation, I'm sure they can fake getting along for the sake of the twins for a day. Divorced couples with the same issues as J&K do it all the time FOR THE KIDS.

ITA! I find nothing appealing or defensible about either one of them at this point. Kate is enthralled with being famous, and Jon is working hard at parlaying his fame into a way to make a living without actually having to work!
