Neither am I. I'm from Chicago and I'm willing to bet Mayor Daley is spitting nails right about now. He was pretty confident that his influence would get them the vote.

Ya know..sometimes your mouth is only as big as much carp you can shove into it..then sometimes..it goes deeper?
Good for RIO. We need to take care of our own here..and the Olympics isn't the way to do it..unless it's another form of "indoctrination"?? Sorry..guess I'm paranoid or reading waaayyy beyond the lines.
Come on..you want to start a business..what do you do? The POTUS is doing the same thing...going at every angle. But..he's barking up the wrong tree, IMO.

I'm happy for them too Dino. The hard work it takes to host will be worth it when Rio shows the world what theycan do for the first time in the history of the Olympics! :patriot:

Well, I'll tell you, I certainly would rather go to Rio than Chicago..... Nothing against Chicago, but Rio is much more beautiful if you ask me. I realize no one did. LOL.

Yes..their music and the culture is so interesting. I would think that with them now going to be Host, that they will be "cleaning up" and I mean that not in a bad way, but a good way..it will be good for them overall. I wouldn't be surprised, either, if it might give some American's jobs in the interim to help them build and prepare for it, plus it will certainly give the Rio population something really Great to work towards. I'm very happy for them.

Can't afford a trip to Rio. I'm sure it will be great there - but I do like Chicago. Coming from Atlanta and Birmingham I'm impressed with how clean Chicago is. And of course, it has the beautful lake, good food, arts and entertainmentm etc,
