Morning football fans:
Pennington of the Dolphins is out for the season, Gore is out for 2-3 weeks in SF, and Hasselback and McNabb have the rib injury.
Not good news.
Eagles have a bye this week:seeya:

Did I hear correctly that the Eagles released Jeff Garcia again?
Personally don't care for the guy... but didn't they just sign him when McNabb got hurt and the Raider's released him?
Just curious...

Yep, it is true.
The guy never even got a chance this time. :(
I feel bad for him bringing him in and then cutting him so quickly.
Like they say, football is a business.
We had to cut Garcia in order to bring Jeremiah Trotter back......
and, of course they decided to keep Vick..

Wow.. he didn't even get to stink up his locker... or get his uniform dirty... that was fast... but like you said.. it's a business...
They tried to tell us that when they cut Joe Montana to make Steve Young the number one QB in San Francisco.. they didn't go over well at all.. but it was business... so this little Dino became a KC fan too and they almost did it that year...lol... Think Bono his old backup at SF was playing at KC too.. man that was a long time ago...:tonguewag:

I was yelling and screaming and dancing...lol... and then the neighbor came over and paid off our bet in PENNIES.. yes PENNIES....lol...

I just read that Favre is on the injury list with a foot injury, also complaining about his neck and shoulders..
I am sure he will play though.
I am hoping CW will weigh in this week..not literally weigh in, like on a scale or anything, not that there is anything wrong with if she wanted to get on a scale, although I don't know why she wouldn't, it's not like we would see her or anything, or that we wouldn't want to see her, but, maybe she would want to get weighed in private and then tell us what she weighs if she wanted to...not that it matters..
Just kidding around!!
Please do not ban me from football.....

Yes 'Maam! BRONCOS won, ROCKIES won, and JIMMIE won! Best news of all, we're undefeated in 'Lil K's soccer games, in first place, two games up! Gonna change tho, leaving Oct 20 for two weeks to Hawaii. She's umdecided which she'd rather do. Imagine that! Sorry, OT!
Oh how exciting for Lil K! I hope she has a great time there! And your Broncos have a big game this week vs. Dallas!

TO wasn't our problem yesterday.
I could tell from the very first series when Edwards was jumping around panicky and then throwing wildly inaccurate and incomplete passes to his out receiver that we were about to descend into the Land of Doom.

Concerning TO, I know a team in Texas that may be sorry they cut him after what happened to them yesterday,
They were blaming everything on TO, but, he apparently, was not their only problem........

I suppose if you put permanent duck tape on his mouth... he might not be so bad...

This Niner fan was so happy when Dallas took him.. good ridance.. he's a PIA..
Man.. half hour till kick off time...it's taking forever...

Lol, we have all been there.!!
My remote usually goes flying, and then the batteries fall out, which makes me say a lot of words I never heard before...
It is a long season yet......everyone's teams can still make the playoffs...
No need for jumping off the sofa yet!!

THis is one big game and one big rivalry. I used to live in MN, never went to a game, but went by the Vikings training camps. And I can say this game is a hgue rivalry. People will be losing their voices chearing so hard, I know.

I was very unprepared for how bad I felt to see Brett Favre in a Vikings uniform.

I'm not enjoying this score very much ~ Vikings 28, Packers 14 in the 4th qtr. :cursing: Come on Packers you need 2 TDs and a FG and no more Vikings scoring!!
The Pack O-line is like a sieve. Poor Aaron has been sacked 6 times.

Well, the Vikings have this wrapped up.
They looked pretty good tonight and Brett Favre looked especially good.
What an arm he has!

Man... not very happy... Aaron looked good just wish he would of been protected as much as Favre was... geesh he could of gone out for a quick burger for as much time as he was allowed in the pocket...
Not the end result I wanted... but... hey it's a game.

Nothing official this time around from CW..no wagging finger....lol....
I find Farve a strange duck..I hope it's ok to call him that...
Made no sense he retired from GB anyway and all that drama every single year...
He is a Hall of Fame QB though..he is what he is..mercurial..ahem..like posters on this board....lol....
I don't think the Vikings will win the Superbowl...there's still that drama with the NFL to resolve about the players they want to suspend for banned substances but can't due to an injuction...
Even if those guys aren't suspended I still think they have enough holes that they'll come up short in the playoffs...
Then we'll have more drama from Farve in the offseason....
I didn't realize how beautiful his wife was..so he has made good for a guy who played his football at Southern Miss...

Good Morning, Did everyone enjoy the announcers on the "Brett Favre Special" last night. I thought they were going to discuss the game but guess they wanted to stay on good side so maybe they'll get the breaking news that he's going to retire this year.
If not wonder what color he'll come back in next year, maybe he'll to Europe and grace them with his ego. Hey, I think he is great quarterback, he was super for WI., I just wish he'd quit telling everybody.
Oh well we certainly gave him he needed last night to win what with all the penalties, dropped balls & interceptions. Glad we could help.
Do I sound like a sore loser, well I AM, we are better than that and he's not that good - take away his help, Rogers sure didn't get much, and I bet he puts his pants on same way everyone does.
Well not that I got that out of my system, JUST WAIT BRETT!!!
(OH, and good luck with being only the 2nd team to have an undefeated season, add that to your list now that you've added that you beat them all - no much left)
Well everyone have a good day, I'll just go back to the fun boards and sulk.
Oops, I forgot, Congrats Brett and HIS boys, good game!!!
PS: This message will self destruct shortly.
You have nothing to sulk about, you played good, you just needed better protection for your qb though.
Just wait till they go to GB!!
I can't count how many times they said last nite the game had playoff implications with the feel of a superbowl atmosphere.
What the heck did that mean?
I have news for them, there are 30 other teams in the NFL.
Okay, onto Week 5......>>>>>>>>>
I will open the thread.
It will be okay, CW!!, it only hurts for the first day when you lose.
:)
