I would look under

www.fandango.com

to see what your area is charging. But I have to admit, I am interested why you want to know the price. Do you plan on going?

No, I would never go but I am curious as to the price of the show, too. Tried to find it at the Site and it was like a maze. Never did get to the price. If its not a mystery, could you just tell us the price of the ticket?

Yes, the site was very busy. Lots of bells and whistles. I plugged in Chicago and looked. It was $11 for adults, $8 for children and $6 for seniors.

I just looked at another theatre in Chicago and it was $9.50 for adults, $6.50 for children and $5 for seniors. Quite reasonable IMO. I thought the tickets would be more.

Thanks TipTop. Well, that is cheap enough. No doubt, the MJ fans will have a good time. I agree that I thought it would be much more too. My quess is they don't have a lot of footage. I am seeing Liza Manelli tonight and the cheapest $80 ticket puts me in the rafters.

Hi all -

Bought 6 tickets -- figured take hubby, kids and couple of their friends for Sun 11/1 5PM Total for 6 with service charge $67.50. Bought mine through the official site and going to a theatre 10 minutes from my house. :) One way to get hubby to take me out to dinner.

OK -- call me nuts -- also pre-ordered the 2CD set, plus poster being released end of Oct. also available through same site -- takes you to Amazon :o

I will expect to be disappointed however since I did read that not much actual footage of MJ but there are two new songs.

Those fans that are lining up have to be die-hard fans. No way would I stand in line for this

If you go to the official site and enter zip code - it brings up dates, theatre and price.

The people standing in line for 3 days were there because the first 500 people would also receive a ticket to the London concert that would never happen to have as a collectible item.

Wouldn't the difference in price mean movie versus a live performer?

According to the web site, they had over a hundred hours of film to select from.

Have fun seeing Liza.

By the looks of things, it looks like there are different pricing based on area. Sounds good to me ! I am waiting for my girlfriend to call me back on going to see it or I will wait to get the DVD.

My area is showing $10 for adult and child. Is that the normal cost of a movie? (how sad. its been that long since I went to a theater.)

That is the same price in my area.

Yes, that is about the typical amount.

If you think that is high just wait if you decide to go to the concession stand and get popcorn and a drink.

imo

Wow. The last time I can remember paying for a movie ticket I think it was around $6. Yep, it's definitely been awhile.

I have no doubt the 'uncut, uncensored version' DVD will be available for purchase for this Christmas season.

Its all about the money being made as soon as possible.

imo... of course.

'Michael Jackson's This Is It' Ticket Sales Break International Records
Documentary has sold out hundreds of screenings across U.S. a month before its release.

Even in death, Michael Jackson continues to be a guaranteed superstar. Just as the initial run of his planned concerts at the O2 arena in London sold out almost instantly earlier this year, the posthumous documentary about the King of Pop's preparations for that residency, "Michael Jackson's This Is It," has broken advance ticket sales records for a movie.

According to Reuters, hundreds of screenings in North America have already sold out, a month before the film's October 28 opening.

Among the cities with the strongest sales are Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston and New York. Records were also set in Japan, where more than $1 million in tickets were sold on the first day they were available. In London, fans bought more than 30,000 tickets on the first day, eclipsing the advance interest in the "Harry Potter" and "The Lord of the Rings" films, which were wildly popular in Britain. Record sales were also reported in Holland, Sweden, Belgium and New Zealand.
