What Zibar said. Or how about a hair piece. My Aunt has worn a hair piece for as long as I can remember and you can't tell.

You konw citchat we know you, so it's cool. We know how you love your hair, and that maybe it will or not thin out. I understand women's hair is much diferent form male hair, but anyway though do not worry about around us

WalMart offers Rogain in their "Equate" brand. Just thought I would mention that.

Hey..chitchat...been there (still female, though!).
I did an herbal thing..can't remember all the ingredients but could probably find them...I know it was olive oil, nettle, sage (I think fenugreek also? not sure..maye it was burdock?)..made a paste of it..like "pesto"..not kidding. left it on overnight...then used chamomile tea rinse after washing. Did that religiously for weeks/months. Smelled like a salad at night! LOL Massaged, the scalp, gently, by hand on a daily basis after wash and rinse. And stress reduction exercises.
I wore a "bandana" to hide the loss of hair for months..then got the Twiggie cut until it all grew out.
A 'friend' was balding several years ago..for quite a few years in a row...then after 7 years of not seeing her, saw her again recently and she has a full head of hair. Just guessing that it may have been a result of menopause/hormone thing? That can be a cause, as well as physical issues and chemotherapy and poor diet (anorexia, etc.) and anxiety/stress...as I understand, anyway.
Lots of women have those hairlines and thin hair..a haircut/style can make you feel better, too, I suppose, it can accentuate your hair and face/features. That "Today" show...where they take women and do them over..there have been many women with thin and thinning hair..and the haircut they get is amazing.
Mom had a head of hair to "die for" and as she got sicker and sicker, her hair got thinner and thinner. It was nearly all white and she was able to keep it short and she looked fine...beautiful to me.
Please don't let it stress you out..it's what is beneath that "crowning glory" that really matters - that grey matter and the heart connected to it. Remember..you are loved. Your hair doesn't define you.

Try taking fish oil capsules and drink plenty of distilled water. .

I have seen this and it is true that women can thin quite a bit if they are genetically predispositioned.
There are hair prothesis available. It is not a wig but blends in with your natural hair. Movie stars wear them to have the appearance of thicker hair. It may be expensive, I don't know.
Women have hair transplatation just like men do, but that is also expensive.
There is the spray stuff that distributes hair-like fibers on your roots (sticking to other hairs) that obsure the loss of hair. Very inexpensive and may work best for short hair.
That is my 2 cents.

Have you had your thyroid checked? Hair loss is a symptom of hypothyroidism.

Bioton Forte is a mixture of vitamins and minerals that the Dr reccommended to me and it helped. You may have to get the Pharmacist to order it for you. I had brain surgery and all the disruption caused my hair to get really thin for a while.
