That is dumb. The negative PR will be far worse than whatever ridiculous fee he might ask.

The people in those neighborhoods are very angry and upset @ Donald! But of course Gaddafi couldn't get a suite at the Waldorf, The Ritz, The Hilton, The Helemsely, And the President of Iran is in the same boat!
They should have known they weren't wanted over here! They will probably have to stay in their embassies, as that's the only building that will welcome them!

If anyone beleives that Trump "unwittingly" rented land to Gaddafi, then I got a bridge to sell them. He didn't rent land to a random stranger he might be doing business with, he did it with open eyes and decided to handle the PR by feigning ignorance. Money is money, rich people rarely turn it down even at the potential honoring of people who are purely responsible for acts of terror.

I am thinking, Trump - The Art of the Deal, he may very well see himself as a deal breaker. JMO or He wants to build a golf course in Iran. LOL

I would be totally surprised if anyone actually believes that Trump himself handled the rental of this NJ property... I'm sure he has bigger things on his plate than seeing that one of his properties is rented..

After being rejected by New York City's Central Park and by the town of Englewood, N.J., the Libyans posed as Dutch diplomats to rent a Manhattan townhouse that had a large roof that could have accommodated a tent.
When that deal fell through, the Libyans apparently used intermediaries to rent Trump's 113-acre estate called the Seven Springs in the posh Westchester County suburb of Bedford, home to such tyrants of taste as Martha Stewart.
As workers began pitching the tent, local officials were pitching a fit. By Tuesday evening, as media helicopters filmed the progress of the tent's construction, the Bedford town lawyer issued a stop work order because there was no permit for the tent.

Well if he wants to build a golf course in Iran, he's entertaining the wrong dictator! Gaddafi is the dictator of LIBYA, not IRAN!
Oh, and I guess Martha Stewart is "fit to be tied" and she considers "The Donald" a close friend.:glare::sneaky:
Regardless of what the Donald did, seens the town found a way to stop it by a law that does NOT allow temp structures for building sites.

First off it wasn't just land. The land has a house that he rents out. I can accept he didn't know as I doubt he would be involved in something as petty as a short term rental. He claims his people were advised it was for a person(s) from the Middle East. Could they guess who it was? maybe. But I doubt the Donald was involved in the initial transaction.
