This is a series novel with Jack Reacher as the hero. I just finished this book. Pretty far-fetched; but, a good read - till I reached the last page. The author had his reader trying to decipher what was in a particular photograph that had agents from the middle-east doing everything in their power to possess the picture. Many, many deaths occur and an American politician, who is former CIA, is involved.
I could hardly wait to find out just what was in that photograph - and guess what? On the last page, Jack Reacher walked away trying to find out the same question!!! I was sooooo disappointed. It will be some time before I read another Lee Child book!!!
Are all his books like this?

Actually, no. He is usually a terrific author and when I discovered Child, I read his books in order they were written. The Gone Tomorrow book did fall down a little in the middle but managed to right itself. Adored all his other books except Hope and Dispair and my favorites are the ones where Jack is still in the Army or working with his pals. I think you will find most of them quite good. We may well have the picture answer in the next book. MOO
OK, now I see! I am not used to reading series novels. Thank you for explaining - I certainly wouldn't want to be on Jack's bad side!!!:w00t:

Why ruin a book for others? Why post the ending?

Actually, this does not tell the ending - as it happens, this has nothing to do with the actual ending - I wish it did!!

I just read one of his older books and I liked it. Good author.
