Why doesn't Jami do Last Words anymore? They were basically why I watched the show if the trial didn't interest me. I was just currious why the aburptly stopped.

Lol. Maybe so. It was interesting the few times that she had her husband on the show with her. Two criminal defense attorneys. Yikes!
I like her but haven't seen her show in a long time. I have so much to record and watch later that somethings had to go. With all the shake ups they have had, I'm surprised she is still around. Who took Lisa Bloom's postion?

I believe Ashleigh did, so they went from bad to worse.

My DVR couldn't keep up with the name changes. So when Vinnie left, it stopped recording Lisa. Then when Ashleigh went to Lisa's spot and it was just Jack Ford, my DVR was confused again. I only record Jami because (1) I really like her and (2) everything on Court TV has changed so much that it hardly holds my interest.
Ever since they fired Catherine Crier, it all changed for me. They don't seem to be interested in their core audience because we don't fit into their target demographic: males from 18-35, or something like that. But they aren't the ones who are watching daytime television, so go figure. I really miss Catherine Crier and I miss Vinnie. I miss being able to hear a verdict when it's read because it might be ten minutes after the end of the In Session day. It's only a matter of time until someone there says, "well see? Nobody's watching anymore so let's close it down," and that will be because they've driven us all away, slowly but surely.
Remember the OJ trial when they didn't even have a commercial unless there was a sidebar? And during breaks in the trial, that's when they would have guests to comment on the trial. Now THOSE were the days. I would be willing to pay a premium for actual gavel-to-gavel coverage like we used to actually have. Not on my computer but on my television, where I can watch from any room in the house (and when things got interesting, that's what I did). I wouldn't mind if a trial were boring, as long as it were live and not the edited two-day versions we get now that fit conveniently into a schedule.
Where are Catherine and Vinnie these days, anyway? Does anyone know?

I too miss the old days, you had Vinnie, Rikki and for the life of me I can't think of her side kick, but they could be a riot together, then you had Nancy in the afternoon. And the OJ trial was the only time we were able to be glued to the t.v. at work. I think Jack was on during those days, and the older gentleman that now covers Washington.
I still watch the trials to a point, I watched the one last month or so where the one brother was accused of killing the other and he was found innocent. and I watched for awhile today where the wife is accused of killing her husband, but it's not the same. We see too much of Ashleigh's dramatics and the rest of them have just left me flat.
Maybe they know they are at the end and have quit trying in a way. I haven't heard anything about CC in years.

Rikki's side kick was Eddie Hayes.
Why are they rotating all the anchors with guest anchors?
It seems like the regular anchors only work a few days a week.
I agree with those who can't understand why the network just TOTALLY ignored their viewers and proceeded to ruin the programing. It boggles the brain. Of course, I still wonder who the smarty pants were that replaced Leno with Conan. Then they give Leno another show. What's up with that deal? Go figure.

Ashleigh has been out because of a death in her family. I have no idea what the deal is with Jami, it seems like she's never there. And Jack's usually there. They have been having a lot of guest hosts lately though

Some have said the show is moving to Atlanta, and they will have all new anchors.

Think they are "fixing" the wrong part of the station. They should be getting rid of the management and going back to Court TV during the entire day until 6 or 7pm. Start the Tru Tv programs at 7pm. Then maybe I would watch again. Jack needs to stay. Ashleigh and Jami have to go. If any of them are really there any m0re. Don't know. Haven't watched since they decided not to show real live trials.

Same here, no trial??? Trials are what brings on viewers. Whatever made them come to the decision to eliminate the live trials?? Hair brain idea if you ask me, of course they forgot me now I have forgot them!!!

They need to get rid Of Fred Graham. He is so far to the left, that he has pushed the show to the left as fast as he could.
It was enjoyable in the Nancy Grace days.

Fred Graham far left? Left of Jami F, and Ron K.?
Fred Graham IS CourtTV in my mind. Justice is not about left or right but rather about defendants and victims, not social leanings. Let the newspapers, networks (and owners thereof) posture and prance to the drumbeat of the mass market and their desire for corporate earnings and allow us to have intelligent choices of what we, the people, want to view.

I am still upset that they stopped the all day coverage. I miss it so much. Has anyone paid attention to the ratings for TruTv? I wonder if the reality shows have made a big difference in their viewership..
Are the ratings better or worse?
Some of those reality shows are just terrible! I agree with everyone here.. Bring back the all-day trial coverage.
I loved Vinnie & Lisa Bloom.. especially Lisa Bloom.. So bring those two back.. and fire Jami. And all would be perfect in the world again. :tongueside:

Right Mort, but Ron has to tell us every time, he is liberal and atheist.Jamie use to in her last word but she hasn't been having the last word lately.
I want to watch the trial period.

When Fred Graham was promoted to Managing Editor of Court TV, that's when the show started to be pushed to the Left.
Jack Ford is a great anchor, and does not show any bias.
Ron K is a liberal, but he does use common sense when he makes his comments, and has a sense of humor..
Jamie is so far out there and unrealistic .

I agree totally with your assessment of the people. I can laugh along with Ron Kube and I do enjoy listening to his point of view and I learn from it. Jami Floyd is too strident in her views that there is no such thing as a guilty person and that it is that Law Enforcement agencies are out to get minorities. Ashleigh Banfield is a non-attorney and I find her evaluations all over the lot but I can identify with that because I am not a lawyer either, just old. Jack Ford I listen to to find out what is really happening and where the case is going and some of the legal issues.
Fred Graham was the on-air senior editor and when CNN/TBS moved to acquire CourtTV he was relagated to the back office and off camera as his point of view was not wanted nor desired by the new owners. The new owners wanted better cash flow that comes from higher audience share and that is what casued the change in the look and feel of CourtTV.
The above is only my opinion and remember, it is generated inside my wooden head.
Sincerely,
Mort Snerd

The ones who really made my days were Marta and Loni (names?)..my gosh...I so much enjoyed watching and getting involved in the PS trial, but was SO entertained by those two..it was better than any commercial. OT..sorry...but when I hear of Vinnie..they come to mind.
