I distinctly remember Bo being on Imus just after John Gotti died. I was shocked at his comments about how John was not all bad and he was sorry about his death. In light of the alleged relationship with Richie, it might explain his attitude about John.

Criminals lie. To mess things up, stir things up, to try to make a deal to protect themselves, to try to dirty the cops up so their testimony will be disregarded - I'd need a lot more than some Mob thug saying so before I'd believe that the sky was blue.

Bo Dietl, an MSNBC analyst and Chairman of the New York State Security Guard Advisory Council (appointed by former Gov. George Pataki), unleashed a disturbing, ill-informed rant about President Obama’s citizenship during an interview today with Don Imus.

It’s important to stop and note that Dietl, while over-the-top, is not a political nobody.

According to MSNBC, he ran security for the 1992 and 1996 Republican National Conventions, and 23 years ago he ran for Congress in New York. He lost that election, but he’s led a very successful career in security and become regular cable news guest. And in this interview, he bought into two of the stupidest pieces of “evidence” in the birtherverse — a 2004 Kenyan newspaper story that referred to then-candidate Obama as “Kenyan-born,” and a rumor that a Kenyan village was building a monument on Obama’s supposed birthplace.

Why would Imus interview him? Are these folks just so out of it they can't see how weird others look even? :sad:

Seems like Bo would have enough trouble in his life with dealing with rumored mob connections without adding to his nonsense.
Though I was surprised to see the New York Post label their photo of Bo with mob Scion Victoria Gatti. Huh? Is that supposed to be some kind of proof? She's John Gatti's daughter, but I've never imagined that socializing with her would make you a part of the mob.
