Wow, were there some exciting games this week!
Last nite's matchups between the Pats and the Bills, and the Chargers/Raiders were thrillers.
Only Brady could bring a team back with less than 3 minutes and down 11 points.
And Sunday nite, The Pack and the Bears.
What a way to open the season.!!

For Doc.....!!
Your Buffalo Bills played such a good game, remember, the Pats have beat them 11-12 times straight, and they were at home, so this was not going to be easy...plus, you can never count Brady out.
But, you played great. I think T O might work out in Buffalo after~all.
I always loved Buffalo, I was a big fan of Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas , Andre Reed, I was heartbroken when you lost the SuperBowl(s)
You have a great team, be proud!!
To Sunstar, you are going to beat up that big old mean Panther for me, run fast, girl.
To Spycee, another Eagle fan,

Thanks Kat!
What really got me was the fact that I was determined to not get emotionally involved because I expected them to get blown out, but then they took the lead and I ended up getting very emotionally involved, especially with 5 minutes left when I thought they had it won........ and then it was time to once again drink the old familiar bitter stuff.....
...hopefully they only get better (especially when Lynch comes back after his suspension).......

Oh, Doc, I know only too well what you are saying.
Every year I try the same thing, if we win, "fine", and if we lose, then, "oh, well", but once the season starts ,you can't help getting involved in the game.
It just means you are a true passionate fan, and all that comes with it.
I know people that actually called in work sick when their team lost in the playoffs..::cough::
The whole city seems to rejoice or suffer after a win or loss..doesn't it?
It is a long season, and this is only 1 game, Eagles got more bad news today, we lost another key player.
The Eagles also activated Michael Vick to the practice squad where he can start Wed.
I have mixed feelings on this.

No alibi needed!! We just told him he needed to be more gentle with Kat4Eagles' players and threatened if it happened again the "live mascot" would rough him up a little.

I was soooo freaked out thinking the Raiders were going to beat my Chargers that was a close call one I don't like! The Chargers played sloppy! They better get their butts in gear for this Sunday or they are going to be screamed at by me:tonguewag:

Hi Sunstar,
We are tied again. Tempers are hot and it's getting slightly physical. Fight on the sideline. That is bad.
I don't know what the score is in your game but I will keep my fingers crossed.

Is there a kicking the couch, throwing the remote icon?
We might need one by the time this season is over.
And, although this will kill me, congrats to the teams that won today.
Except for the Saints.

How in the world does New England, Green Bay, Philly, Pittsburgh, Tennessee all lose on the same day?
Strange..
This was a good day for the bookies, thats about all.

Yeah, but that is a small comfort when you lose!!
Carolina is a good team, don't worry.
It takes some teams longer to get going.
I meant to ask you guys how you named the threads for football season, is it okay to just do Week 2, 3, etc.?
Well there is always next week !!
Who does Carolina play next?
We have KC up to bat next..

The next thread should read Week 3 (9/22 - 9/28).

Again today a lot of more screaming and hair pulling dang it Chargers you could have won this game and you blew it. I don't know why people pick the Chargers to make it to the SB. And they wonder why our stadium doesn't sell out.

Hey hey Kat! I don't know about how all those other teams lost Sunday...but the Eagles just didn't show up (in their own backyard, no less).
The Eagles really needed to play an excellent game to beat the Saints. Instead, they turned the ball over too many times and made costly penalties which caused the game to go south miserably.
I had to leave when the score was 10-10 (a little concerned...but I just knew the Eagles would pull up their boot straps and kick some N.O. tush). When I came back...I couldn't believe the score.
It looks like Kolb will get a chance to try and redeem himself (not all his fault though) on Sunday...he will most likely be playing for Donovan again.
I'll try and keep the faith....GO EAGLES! please!

Yep, that is a good way to look at it, 14 games to go!!
Anyone hear from CW?
I saw highlights on the Pack game, they were moving the ball but ran out of time.
I wanted to hear what she thought .
Maybe we better wait another day to ask her.
