iirc, didn't there exist an "oral" contract between dc and the a's? and it was supplanted by a "written" contract? and that the milstead's witnessed the contract? or am i all confoozled again? this case is such a spider's web of deception, it's easy to be confoozled. i'm off to read his statement again.

Good morning everyone! I'm still hoping that we'll hear shortly that pre-trial and trial dates have been set for the Criminal Check/Fraud case. I wonder just how long this process can take, from a legal standpoint?
And, where are all those Motions that Lyon has been promising would be filed after Labor Day? It's now mid-month.

Prosecutors demanded that the defense hand over that evidence, which they are legally required to do. If nothing is handed over, it backfires on Casey Anthony
From the article Desmon just posted in reference to DC lying and the defense team saying they have evidence that Caylee was placed there after CasE was in jail.
I am hoping that this just blows up in their face!

it'll be interesting to see if a written contract is provided. i always was under the impression that dc's searching of that area was a lot more than coincidence.
D. Casey said to Hoover - I know where she is. Hoover - Is she alive?
Casey - no.
It definitely wasn't a coincidence.
I know D Casey is a naive man because he said after being around Casey, he knew her to be a loving mother, but naive enough to take a pyschic's word for it where a body was? (But then, you never know with the characters involved in this story.)

I found an article about yesterday's event but it did not mention the A's being there. Maybe with all the talk about them showing up at the event the other day they decided to keep the focus on their missing loved ones and not let the A's over shadow their goals.

I know not to post before drinking coffee. Let me rephrase by original post. Ididn't see her speak at the event. A reporter got ahold of her and talked to her at some point. Yep, another cameo for her collection. Wonder if she's able to keep count now days.

I don't think it was a coincidence either. In the days just prior, LP had been searching the Little Econ in JBP. I suspect that the Anthonys or the defense was a bit concerned that perhaps they'd been lied to about just where Caylee had been dumped. And, they wanted someone to confirm, just for their peace of mind. (hard to imagine that anyone would want to leave the remains of a child "unfound to LE" in the woods, but I think that is exactly what they intended). IMO, they just wanted to know that the remains were indeed where they'd been told that they were. They wanted Caylee to still be officially "missing" so they could continue on with the "Caylee is alive" program.

Good morning.
The Anthony's intend for their new 'careers' to be in assisting families with searches for missing children. Apparently this can be quite lucrative. This endeavor produces donations from the public to help with expenses to find the missing. The longer a child is missing, likely the more donations roll in if the case is kept in the media. A foundation for murdered children at best might collect meager donations to help pay funeral expenses for families in need, and would not involve boats, free travel to various talk shows where they would be put up in nice hotels and have their meals paid for, public speaking engagements, or constant attention from the media, etc.
It appears the Anthony's love being in the public eye and are enjoying the attention from the media and their countless photo ops.
Considering the circumstances of Caylee's death, their actions are shameful to say the least.

I also heard on the news that PI Casey was caught in a lie and that it will take the defense down a notch (like they can afford that)....I do not understand the media, everyone already knew he was lying....He made two different statements on record contradicting himself...as to who hired him...
It's obvious that he was sent to that spot by Cindy or Lee, becase they knew right where Caylee's remains were (or at least the very vacinity).....

It will just prove that they lied....and if they do have such evidence and refuse to show it now then they can forget about using it later...
But we all know that is a lie....if they had such evidence, why is Casey still in jail?.....They have nothing at all, they are pulling straws for a defense....

It has to be very akward for the families who truly have missing children. To those who did the lie detectors and were closely scrutinized and quite possilbly "suspect" in their childrens disappearance. To those who answered every single question asked of them and opened their lives to LE in order to be eliminated as quickly as possible so the search could move on. Yup, good ol' Dominic Casey has painted himself into a corner, all right, with his flip-flopping on his contractual end date with Baez.
Option 1: If he continues to stick with the "Everything I Do, I Do It For Baez" story, he links himself closer and reinforces the assumption that he was searching for the body with knowledge that could only come from the baby killer and/or her family, thus strengthening the position of the prosecutors. And likely making his alleged paramour, Cindy Anthony, furious.
Option 2: If he goes back to the October 1 date, first, he risks being held in contempt since he BLATANTLY LIED on the stand in front of the Judge and the Bible and all. Then he re-opens himself up to the investigation of his phone records, and the truth about the "psychic", which might lead right back to the Anthony's, and thus strengthen the case against Casey anyway. Plus, he'll have to take the stand and admit that he didn't search exactly where the body was anyway. If he doesn't continue to lie, which of course, is a strong possibility.
Either way, that little "Tip We Didn't Pass on to LE Though We Desperately Want to Find Our Grandddaughter, No Really, Unauthorized Ground-Poking Search Expedition" has backfired on the Anthony's and Their Nefarious Crew big time!

I love the State. Everytime it seems "without haste" the State always upstages them with more Documents to be released to the public.
One would think Baez & Co. would have learned by now to keep their Pie Holes shut so the state would not be so eager to let the public in on the real story.

My wife and I would like to make a donation to an organization that helps missing children. Obviously, your foundation is at the fore-front in the media and print news lately, which is why it caught our eye.
We are in the position to make a rather large donation for our own tax purposes, but we do not want our money going to a foundation that is not what it is advertised to be.
I searched your website and checked on-line resources, but I do not see a disclaimer that NO monies collected will be used for the defense of the daughter Casey. This is a paramount condition for both of us and we need a reply from the foundation stating this or we will be forced to explore other avenues for our monies.
The other reply we need is to the amount of total donations accepted versus administration fees. This is important to us to "weed" out any charities that are using monies to benefit themselves and not the children.
Please reply via E-Mail

I would not want my picture being taken while the A's were close by. I would not want my name and image associated with them.
I would not want them there. These people are truly hurting and missing their children.. The A's have all of their children accounted for.
The A's have the answers to all their questions
Their granddaughter's killer is in jail
They know who did it
They know when it happened
They know why it happened
They know where it happened
The other parents are left to wonder. I feel so bad for these parents.
Knowing that they tried to do everything right working with LE and they still do not know what happened to their children.
The A's do not have any business at these events. I hope that as time goes on the media totally ignores their presence in public.
Except when they are making total arses out of themselves. I like seeing Cindy and George looking totally disgusted and beaten down.

You know that Murdered Children are not profitable. Their coffers would never see another cryin dime.
I however do think they could have made a fourtune if they had told the truth about Case. They could have done the right thing and could have been very effective speakers to inform the public of how murder in your own family could have been prevented, signs to look for etc. But that would have caused them to be active, hands on parents/grandparents. They just choose to take the Low Road! to them I guess easier to look the other way. jmo

No I can't. I'm sorry, but to me it is an insult to people who truly do have missing children and want to see the person responsible for that crime brought to justice. Very interesting the way you put this...and you are right....I sent an E-mail questioning The cayle foundation and why I, as an eager donor, trying to find some way to lower my taxes, would give to her foundation..Funny how she says that this is not about Casey...probably wrote her off at this point....below is my e-mail...only name and address have been changed..
From:cma@cayleemarieanthonyfoundation.net
Not sure what on-line resources to which you are referring but our website mission statement clearly identifies the intentions of the foundation. Despite all the BS in the media and the blogs, we are very honest people. This foundation is very important to us by honoring Caylee and assisting others. Check out the recent updates on our Caylee Bear program. The decision is yours, but you will not see a disclaimer on the website about Casey because its not about her. Sincerely, Cindy Anthony

IMO
Bolding mine....
I so agree w/you. I just wonder how these parents that really do have missing children feel about The Anthony's being involved in these types of events where The Anthony's are trying to pass Caylee off as a true missing child that was abducted/murdered by a stranger? Do The Anthony's even care how these other families perceive them? Do they care if they are even causing them more pain an anguish than they have already experienced? All the other parents/families at these events want their child/children to brought home and the person responsible for their disappearance and/or murder brought to justice. Not The Anthony's. They are covering up and lying for the person that holds all the answers as to what really happened to Caylee. As usual, The Anthony's only care about themselves. Truly shameful.

Excellent analysis of the quandry they find themselves in Kellog, and they did it all themselves.
BTW, where is lyons motion to dismiss the death penalty in this case? I thought she promised it right after Labor Day. Could it be with the release of additional evidence she has had her "uh, oh" moment?
IMO, all this defense team is going to be able to do is attempt to rearrange the deck chairs on this Titanic of a case.

All this talk about Dom and what he knew, and how he knew it reminds me this could have turned out quite differently if the Judge would have approved this little adventure:
Casey Anthony Now Wants to Search Privately for Missing Caylee Anthony & Have Freedom of Travel
After all this time stone walling and lying to police Casey Anthony wants to search for her missing daughter. Suddenly Casey Anthony is not afraid to search for Caylee.
Caylee Anthony has been missing since June 9, 2008. Caylee was not reported missing by her grandmother, Cindy Anthony, until July 16, 2008.
Now some four months after Caylee Anthony initially disappeared, the mother Casey Anthony wants to search privately for her daughter and have freedom of travel to do so.
Casey Anthony’s attorneys want a judge to approve a request that would allow them to take their client to places “of interest” so she can help look for her missing daughter, Caylee. They want to be able to do it in private and without public knowledge. Right now, Casey is under home confinement and must obtain permission from the county jail to travel. Such requests are public record.
Now tell me Baez didn't know Caylee's general location, and that this request wasn't ludicrous.

We knew jose was aware of where Caylee was way back in the beginning when he sent that letter to the prosecution begging for immunity, then denied he ever broached that subject causing the Prosecution to release the emails.
jose is one of the most incompetent attorneys I have ever observed and if this defendant gets sentenced to death, she only has her own attorney to blame.
Had she had a public defender, I truly believe a plea could have been gotten and her life would have been saved.
I fully expect george and cindy to turn on jose as soon as their daughter is given the death penalty.
Hi Scampi and everyone......let's not forgot jose asking the court to let casey out so he and casey could go look for Caylee without anyone watching them.....

IIRC the hairbrush came from Garrison and the toothbrush came from something that was relayed to Leonard Padilla. Think I remember his mentioning it on NG... Cindy saying she should've given LE the dog's toothbrush when they asked for Caylees... conveying her total lack of help in the investigation to the point of wanting to thwart it.

Ah, so right....I forgot about that...It was shortly after that, that the PI came on the scene...They all knew all the time where Caylee was and they were hoping aginst hope to find the body and hide it...They knew without a body, would be the only chance for Casey...and Baez was probably thinking of the fame he could get from getting Casey off...Finding the body blew all their defense away...
The PI will lose either way...if he tells the truth, his career as a PI is down the drain...If he lies on the stand, his credibility is shot.....That is why none of tem waited for the results to see if the body was infact Caylee....they knew it was...That is also why Cindy, George and Lee were able to go out for dinner upon finding out that a body was found (thy knew all along, Caylee was dead) so it was no surprise to them.....

Thanks Scampi! So true about this Titanic case. I'm picturing Baez, LKB, Lyon, and Macaluso as the quartet who played on even as the ship was sinking. I wonder if Baez knows how to play the violin? Or maybe he'll be playing the maracas as the ship goes down, lest we forget his hispanic heritage!

Why did Cindy give LE the wrong hairbrush, not the one exclusively used by Caylee either? She only had to walk a few more steps to get the one with better hair samples. Because she was NOT cooperating, that's why.

Kathi, where do these e-mails come from?
BELICH: Well, I`m not going to say where we got it. We got it from a source, a reliable source. We have tried to talked to Cindy Anthony about this. She`s not responded to our e-mail or our text messages. We`ve tried to speak with Larry Garrison about this, as well, and he`s not really responded to our questions about the e-mail. But we did get it from a reliable source, and we know that the FBI is investigating this. Larry Garrison said in his e-mail that he had reported this to the authorities, but we have yet to find anyone involved in the investigation who knew anything about this.
GRACE: Who is Larry? Who is Larry?
BELICH: Larry Garrison is the Los Angeles actor/author that served for a while for free as the Anthonys` spokesperson. You may remember...
GRACE: Right.
BELICH: ... a week or two ago, there was a falling out. He says the falling out actually is over this hairbrush issue.
GRACE: To Leonard Padilla, the bounty hunter out of Sacramento, California, that spent time within the Anthony home when bond was first made. Leonard, what do you make of this development? You know all of them better than any of us.
LEONARD PADILLA, BOUNTY HUNTER: Let me add fuel to the fire. Today, when I`m sitting there talking to Tracy about this development, she says, You know, that brings to mind something else. One day, Cindy walked in there and said, You know, when the FBI asked me for her toothbrush, I should have given them the brush that I use to brush the dog`s teeth. And Tracy says that George just about went into heart arrest, you know, like, Oh, my God, don`t be saying things like that. Now, I suggested that Tracy call the FBI first thing in the morning as a result of this development jogging her mind.

I agree w/you. I definitely don't think the defense will be successful if they file a motion saying that there is insufficient evidence to support a murder charge. The Grand Jury already indicted her. That ship has sailed. This case is going to trial, no way around that. I also don't think she will be successful in getting the DP off the table either. I truly don't think that the state would put it back on the table if they didn't really believe that it was warranted. Now, the jury may not recommend the DP for Casey, but they will be DP qualified and more apt to convict her. If Casey doesn't get the DP then she will get LWOP, which will still be a very appropriate and fitting punishment for murdering Caylee. It may even be worse for her because she won't get an automatic appeal and she won't stay in PC like she would if she gets the DP. General population may become a reality for her somewhere down the line. I don't think GP will be very pleasant for her.

The police have access to Casey's computer not Baez's. Part of her bond was no computer access if I'm not mistaken. Plus she could do whatever and LE could not get access to it.
Along those lines... another little interesting tid bit I had forgotten about:
Leonard Padilla: There was another time when we ran into a gentleman that told us that George was very upset, and was blaming Tracy for having used the family computer. And we asked Tracy, why did you use the family computer,. she says, I never did. And I said, well, why is George putting out that story?
And we came to the assumption that there was something on the family computer that shouldn`t have been there, and they`re going to blame it down the road on Tracy.
**I wonder if "the gentlemen" was Jim Campbell?**

What a vision!

Oh, I so agree w/you. Taking care of Caylee now probably doesn't seem that bad to Casey in comparison to spending the rest of her life in PRISON.
Oh, trust me (oops sorry) Casey hasn't begun to regret what she has done......wait till she has to pack up her little belongings and be shipped out....I hope we get to see it....I hope there are camera's all over the place.....

On Sun Jun 28 18:53 , Mr and Mrs ****** ********sent:
Thank you for your time

I remember the day of the press conference - the announcement that the grand jury went for a murder charge - and the LE spokesperson (can't remember his name, maybe he's the one who retired or maybe it was the SA?) apologized to the grand jury members saying he felt really badly for what they had to see and hear, indicating they might have been traumatized. And this was BEFORE they found the body. I'm thinking LE has an awful lot of terrible things to set before us when the time comes... Does anyone else remember this? Gave me chills.
I remember that too summer and I think it was Lawson Lamar, the States Attorney who made those remarks.
How did Baez even think this motion would be granted? Of course a judge would let her out to "look" for her daughter!! If I were the judge I'd have hauled her azz into court and asked her just WTH she'd been doing for the last 31 days, besides shopping with stolen checks in Target, hanging around in Fusion and getting laid, and why should the court think she'd do anything differently if she were out?

Similar to the people who send casey money.
Do-gooders....someone who thinks they are helping society by championing oppressed minority groups, and/or a well-intentioned but naïve, uninformed or impractical person who doesn't let facts stand in their way when they can find an ounce of pity/sympathy for another and toss money their way. It makes them feel good about themselves.
I suspect some may send money casey's way because they feel sorry for her after being exposed to the likes of Cindy, knowing this woman is at least in part the reason casey turned out the way she did.
Others may contribute money to the Fundation as a way of expressing sorrow about Caylee and believing their donation will go to help a missing child. These people probably want to believe that this is a healing activity for the poor Anthony's who lost their granddaughter in such a horrendous way.
Still others simply saw one snippet of Cindy on TV appearing to be a distraught Grandma and felt sorry for her as she lied about the facts in this case. Imagine if the CBS morning show was the only thing you've seen regarding this case. You would have no way of knowing that Cindy's little show of emotion was a BIG FAKE, mere acting for the cameras, and the things she said were self serving BS.

Does this "respectful manner" include poking her with a metal rod. Fact is, had he found her, the def would be screaming over his contaminating evidence.
Maybe George was overcome by jealousy and not the fact his grandbaby's remains were being recovered in a swamp, in the dark, by strangers.

Casey was re-arrested on Friday evening, and by Saturday LP was filing the paperwork to get off her $500,000 bond. If he hadn't have, as soon as Casey was able to post bond on the criminal check/fraud charges, she would have been back out.
However, some other entity stepped in and coughed up big funds to get Casey out again on bond... too bad the person coughing up those funds weren't ever identified. (they hid behind the identities of George and Cindy, IIRC)

Good question sydney, what the heck did he mean by that. As it was, those dedicated FBI and various LE officers spent days on their hands and knees to bring Caylee home. This family does not know the meaning of the word gratitude, imo.

I just thought that was cozy
Also you can there links to the case.
They just keep everything together in one easy spot so they don't have to go looking for anything.
Just like the way they looked for Caylee.
Their website never speaks of Caylee being a child that has been murdered just that she is missing.
Misleading site in my opinion. No resolution to Caylee's plight does not mention how their Caylee became missing nothing. Nothing about other children being found tthrough their efforts. Just a few pics of Clevlenad Clinic in Ohio with the Caylee Bears and another event with George walking around. Looked like a car show zzzzzzsleeper.
There were some other pictures about events that they attended pretty lame.

If Cindys grandaughter was missing WHY would she give LE who was trying to find her The DOGS brush? Doesnt pass the smell test.
Right. Further, why wouldn't you turn over every credit card records to help LE? Why would you only turn those records over to a relative (Lee) to do a unprofessional parallel investigation? How does that help? Why would you accuse innocents? Why would you, on the one hand, scream at LE for not doing enough to find your granddaughter, but somehow justify your own daughter never reporting her child missing? Why would you clean out a car that you knew smelled of decomposing flesh? Why would you even drive it off the lot in the first place? Why would you go on TV and tell viewers that the cadaver dogs didn't hit? Why would you decline a lie detector test? Why would you admit that your daughter lies and steals but then say she doesn't lie that much and she doesn't steal that much? Why, after a fight when your unemployed, lying, stealing, neglectful daughter is about to go out into the night with her child to sleep who knows where, not say "not in my car, you don't"?
As part of their foundation, will the Anthonys be telling parents of real missing children that they should try to jeapordize the investigation as much as possible, create smoke screens and lie for the person who is mostly likely the cause of the child's disappearance?

She appears to be basking in the attention. Unreal. LP sure didn't waste any time in revoking her bond, and turning in the rental RV, and getting Casey off his hands.
Yes, he gotta outta town pretty quick, if I recall correctly. I think even Lenny was blown away by Cindy, Casey and Lee.

I find that so incredibly creepy, summer.
Most seem focused on the fact Casey doesn't acknowledge them in the courtroom. I can't get over how extremely creepy it is that G&C gaze upon her like she's some kind of rock star.
So true! It's like they just can't get the right emotions to have in any situation. They looked like they wanted her autograph at the hearing. Weird.

I think the main reason why Cindy wanted the info first, was to be able to try to spin it the way she wanted..it would ensure all of her tour dates with the networks....also I think a lot of it is her controlling and insufferable need to be in command......
Yup, they would pick and choose what they thought was relevant and then turn over what they believed the investigators should use.

Pretty much. He's jealous by his own admission. I think with regard to their little R&R at the Hyatt beginning on the day Caylee's remains were discovered, GA was much more concerned about his future with Cindy than the fact Caylee had no future.

Had he found her, he would have left the remains exactly where he found them and the defense would have been in court the next morning with a motion to set a speedy trial date in hopes of getting the trial done before the remains were found by anyone else and disclosed to the prosecution. Then, if Casey managed to get an acquittal or was only convicted on some of the lesser included charges or maybe even a plea deal negotiated to lesser charges - so long as she was protected by double jeopardy from prosecution again for murder - the remains could officially be "discovered."

Right. Further, why wouldn't you turn over every credit card records to help LE? Why would you only turn those records over to a relative (Lee) to do a unprofessional parallel investigation?
You would have no way of knowing that Cindy's little show of emotion was a BIG FAKE, mere acting for the cameras, and the things she said were self serving BS.
i think the majority that would send money casey's way is either
1) they hate LE and feel Casey (and anyone else that has ever spent 1 day in jail/prison) was railroaded.
2) they think she is beautiful and beautiful people do not commit crimes like this so she must be innocent.. And maybe she will be their pen-pal..

i'm kinda slow here but i was re-reading dc's statement. iirc, he said that if caylee was found, she should be found in a respectful manner. what the heck does that mean? sounds like an anthony-ism to me. and if le shouldn't look for a dead caylee (per cindy), why was it okay for dc to look for a dead caylee?
Well, it can't be an Anthony-ism. They haven't shown respectful behavior towards Caylee or her memory from the very beginning. I wonder if DC felt that looking for her body by poking everything in his sight w/that long metal rod was looking for her in a respectful manner?:sneaky:

You beat me to it, Kitty! I thought the same exact thing. And you're right. If DC actually would have found Cayee, the defense would have claimed contamination and would have filed a motion to keep the body out of evidence.
Yes, that is pretty lame. And disgraceful, despicable, and deplorable as well. Of course The Anthony's don't want to highlight the fact that Caylee was murdered because then everyone would remember that it was their own daughter that murdered her. They want to highlight her as a missing child so the donations keep on rolling in.:sneaky:

That is the very reason why a missing child foundation and appearing at events w/other families that have missing children that want the person responsible for their missing child brought to justice are not the correct venues for The Anthony's. They have nothing to offer these families and very little in common w/them. They need to hook up w/foundations and events for people that have a family member that murders another family member...

hey, kat. what with court schedules, attorney schedules and all, do you think they would have succeeded in getting a trial date before the official discovery? that's playing it awful close timewise, isn't it?
"Under Florida's rules of criminal procedure, every person charged with a felony must be brought to trial within 175 days. If that doesn't happen, a defendant may file papers to force a trial that must then occur within 15 days, or the charge will be dismissed.
The same rules let defendants demand a speedy trial within 60 days of indictment. If a defendant is not brought to trial within 50 days of the filing of that demand, he may file notice that effectively sets a 15-day period in which a trial must be held, or the charge will be dropped."
http://www.law.com/jsp/article.jsp?id=1119270949494
The speedy trial rights are embedded in the U.S. Constitution although the statutes specify how much time is "speedy." The judges will push aside other matters to make sure speedy trial deadlines are met. As far as whether they could have gotten the case to trial before the remains were discovered, IMO it was possible but neither Casey nor Baez were wise enough to make it happen.
If Casey had admitted to Baez that she killed Caylee and dumped Caylee's body in an overgrown vacant lot near the Anthony residence, but through dumb luck it had not yet been found, Baez probably wouldn't have been waiving her speedy trial rights between August and December 2008. I think Casey probably didn't tell him for several months; perhaps he had a "come to Jesus" talk with her about how everything she had said turned out to be a lie and he needed her cooperation in order to prepare an effective defense and so forth. So, she eventually told him and he promptly sent DCasey out to look. IIRC Baez made an additional waiver either the day before or the morning of the day that Caylee's remains were discovered, notably AFTER DCasey had already been out to the vacant lot(s), looked around the general area but failed to find the remains. When DCasey didn't find anything, Baez may have simply assumed that there was nothing there to find either because Casey was still lying to him or it had been taken by wild animals or washed away in the severe storms or for whatever other reason, and that it was safe to continue his delay-the-inevitable strategy. You know what they say about "assume" making an azz of u and me...
So Jose et al could have known for some time that Caylee was dead and the general vicinity of her final resting place? And they are not obligated to turn that information over to the proper authorities? they could go for the best deal possible and THEN release the information?
Yes, they could have known EXACTLY where Caylee's remains were and kept that information secret until after the criminal matter was resolved. Afterwards, Casey should truthfully answer questions about that issue during ZFG's lawsuit but my guess is Casey would do the same thing as OJ did and continue lying about everything.
