Help with a case please

This case may be from 15-20 years old. It was about a woman who kept calling police and telling them her life was in danger (I can’t recall by who though) she claimed to receive death threats and was beaten up and her apartment broken into on several occasions.

Police investigated and decided that the woman was a habitual liar and made everything up from the break-ins to the beatings. IIRC this happened in Las Vegas ( although I could be way off) Anyway she kept calling police begging them to arrest the person beating her and threatening her but they refused saying she was delusional and may have brought charges against her.

Finally she was found dead in a parking lot IIRC she was found beaten and hog tied—police said it was a suicide.

I remember the detail but I can’t find anything on it? Could have seen it on unsolved mysteries or I don’t know where I just remember being outraged her death was ruled such, with her being hog tied. I recall pictures and IIRC pantyhose were used to tie her up.

Anyone remember this or heard about it too?

Suicide??? :w00t:. I haven't heard about this IaNsSyAlNuE however I would be very interested to learn more. If you knew her or others involved names we might be able to find something out about this.

It was some time ago-- I may have my dates off-- but it was some time back, very strange case!

I remember it very clearly - I believe from a discussion on this board.

As odd as it seems, it does appear to have been suicide when you read through all the details.

She was bound with knotted pantyhose, which she could have easily gotten on/off herself - and was found with morphine she herself stole from her job as a nurse. As I recall her actual cause of death was morphine overdose, not strangulation as it appeared originally.

I'll look for it. It's a captivating case.



Oh yes, that is it!! I have been looking for so long. I wanted to read the details myself but I just can't find it-- anywhere. I can't recall any names but for whatever reason Vegas stands out in my mind as the place-- but it has been so long-- I may be wrong about that.

I found this website done by her sister who wrote a book about the mystery. On this site are links to articles and also - to me - the most telling piece of info. A sound clip of a threatening call she claimed was made by her attacker - but it's clearly a woman's voice.

Anyway, fascinating story but I'm pretty convinced she was mentally ill and made the whole thing up - although her sister seems torn by not knowing what to believe.

I looked for some more info on her but I couldn't find a whole lot.

Does anyone know if the police questioned any of her coworkers or family members of some of the kids she liked working with?

In one of the links provided in one of the incidents, it stated that they found her in a ditch wearing a mans boot. Were they able to link that boot to anyone?
