It's sad that at this point it won't happen they say it's because John is too old and gay. the Ukraine needs to change their laws if they want their children that are sick to be adopted by good people.

The child is sick, and thus, unlikely to be adopted by others. He'll have a much better life, and a parent for however long Elton and his partner live, he'll have medical coverage that few of us could buy. They should ignore the letter of the law, and look to the best interests of the child.
