Several years ago I saw a movie called "Every Woman's Dream"; the star was Kim Catrall and it was about a man who had two wives and the second wife (Kim Catrall) found out about his double life and was leaving him; at that point the movie was almost like a comedy; so she goes to the storage facility to get his stuff out of her storage unit and he arrives there and bam, he shoots her dead; this was witnessed by total strangers; the ending was so shocking I never ever forgot it. It was said this was a true story and for years I tried to find the book on which the movie was based. Well, I found it and wow; I have never read anything quite like it. The book is by Karen Kingsbury and it is still in print. David Miller was the husband of two wives and was a total sociopathic personality, lying about every single facet of his life. He was brilliant and successful as a lobbyist in California but eventually his life unravels and results in the death of Jayne Leebrick Miller. This true almost unbelievable story provides you with the anatomy of a sociopathic personality; it is totally engrossing; i can barely put the book down.

The Title is wrong: it should be Deadly Pretender

WOW, looks good and will get the book. Right now, I am reading Michael Connelly's new book "The Brass Verdict" - he is a terrific funny writer. Engrossing also. Going to get Brian Haig's new book and will pick up the Kingsbury book.
I am laying off Kathy Reich's books for awhile. I did not find the last two engaging at all and pretty much just passed them on.

No wonder I could not find it at BN. Will check the Deadly Pretender title. Found a new author for me named Steven James. The book is "The Pawn". Apparently there are other books with Dr Bowers too. Always good to stumble onto a good mystery writer.
This sound really good. My kind of book. I have a special interest in sociopathy. It started in college and has continued. I was even engaged to one! LOL. I'm not kidding.
I would like to see the movie too. I"ll try to locate it.
Thanks.
