Prayers that her courage, and the dedication of the cops and new testing of DNA evidence will reveal the man who raped and left this child for dead.

WOW - how horrific for her, but possibly a great outcome if they are able to catch the scumbag who did this. I just read the entire article but don't recall if it stated how long she was missing until she was found. Was it the next morning?

Yes, I think a matter of several hours before she was discovered - sounds like unconscious on the school grounds - by school children and her first memory is the cop encouraging her to "stay with us". Gives me chills. What a survivor.
I know - and only 8 years old. Bless her heart. If the perp is still alive, he is probably sweating bullets right now.

HLN had her story as their top news story. What a remarkable, courageous young lady. She never gave up. Her day has finally come and she will get justice for what this disgusting monster did to her.
I pray stories like Jennifer's restore faith and hope to all victims. Cases do get solved even decades later. Let it be known to all those who thought they got away that their day is coming and they will get caught and face justice.
I got very emotional when they said her grandpa continued to go to the police station to ask where they are with his granddaughter's case. He persevered and it finally paid off.
Prayers to Jennifer and her family. God Bless :rose:
"It's not about me anymore," she told CNN in September. "It's about all the little girls that go to sleep at night. I know there are so many girls out there who have been raped and hurt. You have to fight back.
