Good for her and she sure does scrub up well.

As for the photos..but especially how she looks in them, I like the "last one"..the black dress..where she has her hands/arms raised. The one by the piano wasn't that far behind, IMO. The blue..she looks great in blue..but that RING..just a bit too much, I think.
Thing is this woman has talent..and even if with the makeover, I think, they haven't changed her so much that she won't be able to function or deal with it. Baby steps with someone as fragile as Susan seems to be.
I wish her the best. I applaud Simon and all who have helped her to achieve her goal. Don't know Simon at all, obviously personally, but I get the sense..he's pretty much all business..sometimes he gets "taken" by emotion..but he wouldn't "mess" with anyone or anything he didn't think would either make him money or "fame" or at least not "bring him down". From the time I first saw him on tv..I thought..OK..here's is the epitome of "Simon Says". Still like the guy for some reason..I get a kick out of him. Good for you Simon...Susan has a talent...she looks great..now plug her CDs. It's in it for you and it's in it for her.
I wonder if she realizes how fortunate she is..not just how talented she is.

She looks stunning! I love the black Tadashi Shoiji gown she is wearing. I want it!
Now, if I just had somewhere to wear it!

How can you not love her... I could listen to her all day.. she has such a wonderful voice.. check out the records she has broken and her album hasn't even debuted yet... Good job Susan.. and glad you have Simon in your corner.. see he isn't such a ogre afterall.. lol
A ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ star has set a new musical record.
Her debut album, ‘I Dream A Dream,’ has climbed to the top of the Amazon.com music charts - even before its November 24 release date. The new songstress has even beat out The Beatles and Whitney Houston on the charts.
“Susan is ecstatic, she can’t believe it,” said Boyle’s spokesperson to People. “She’s in the recording studio this week, which she’s loving. She couldn’t be happier.” He also noted that the singer has gone on a shopping spree at high end store Harrod’s to shop for dresses for TV appearances.

SuBo (LOL LadyJeanLa) has the voice of an angel.
Glad you posted this thread, dinojen! I was wondering how Susan was faring and if she had produced an album yet. The look/sigh of pure joy by Simon Cowell when he listened to her that first time is a pleasure to watch!
By sheer coincidence, I happened to listen to her "I dreamed a dream" last night on YouTube. I believe it is the most beautiful version of that song, yet!

Thanks to you, too, LJL, for the information.
Susan Boyle's success makes me happy for her - it is well deserved.
I am so pleased for her, i still check her in the news every week. This wil be my xmas present to everyone (her cd).
When i go back to watch the original audition, as someone said, simon's face said it all. She was funny, she was nervous, didn't think anything would come of it and then the world was at her feet (until the media turned on her and she fell apart some, but who wouldn't). In an article the other day, it said that simon and she talk two or three times a week, he is keeping close to her so she doesn't feel abandoned. Given her upbringing (and her brother also admitted she suffered from panic attacks all her life as well), her difficulties, the village children throwing stones at her house and calling her simple susan...she has done one heck of a turn around and deserves every bit of success.

An open letter to Susan Boyle
I want to thank you. To thank you for all the unsung and unrecognized heroes in this world. I want to thank you for everyone who has ever had that independent spirit unappreciated by the masses of sheep that pass for people. Your honesty in character, your delightful outlook on life and that “cheeky grin” should inspire us all to greater aspects in ourselves. May you always have that smile inside your cheek and the wonderful blessing of knowing exactly who you are.
Single-handedly you have brought millions to tears, perhaps even more to their knees in thanks to the Lord for such a gift. You have shown that a dream, despite your awe inspiring song, doesn’t have to die. Just as importantly, you have shown that a talent can be in anyone of us, if we just have the courage to showcase it.
I want to thank you for sharing the gift of your voice, a true instrument in your hands,
I want to thank you for sharing your joy in life and your incomparable panache.
As one of the judges in the TV show said “It was a complete privilege listening to that”,
It was also one of the joys of my lifetime. And I thank you for that. Mazel Tov

That was beautiful Porchlight.
something else she did even when she lost the final and broke down, she showed us all that even when we are knocked to our knees and need help that we can keep on going for our dream. I really hope they do a good movie or documentary of her life, not just for the musical story but the inspirational one.

You are so right. I actually first wrote that letter before she lost. But even in losing she showed us all there are lessons to be learned. I can't wait to hear more of her music. She "owns" Cry Me A River...she just "owns" it.

I'm still disappointed she didn't win. (Am I ever going to get over it? No.) I can't even remember the name of the group that won as I bet is the case with most people. Can't wait to buy her new releases. I just love that woman! (Did she ever go on the date with Piers?)

lol, not sure about the date, i went to his blog last week to see if it had been updated with any info on it but i suspect that her health issues pushed it aside before he came to the states for the american version. I do hope he does though :)
Diversity won..ack, the one thing i read that sort of relates to what you said about most not remembering is that Simon had not contacted them once after they won, read that 2 or 3 weeks ago too. Which makes sense, not his type of group anyway and Susan was far more important as far as his time went and to be honest needed more personal time from him than probably most groups he takes on did given everything. Also can you believe that people are still saying she should not have been allowed to compete because of her emotional health???? Ant and Dec (the two hosts) were defending ITV's decision just last week on a show.
I was so grateful that Simon took her up, not that it was in doubt but that it was his show so he knew of her. She needed/needs someone who can keep away the real vultures, who has the knowledge of the business and success to help her make the most of it. He is still paying for her apartment/home in london, the bodyguard/minder, i believe she still has a full time on call doctor and he has given her a credit card.
Susan still has received very little actual money apart from the 500 pounds for each night of the tour that she did that all the contestants got, but when she actually moved out of the council flat in west lothian scotland last month she stopped by the council to ask them not to re rent it as she was planning to buy it when she got the funds together.
all imo bc its bits and pieces i picked up as i google her every week or two lol

she does..there is another one she owns as well, i only saw/heard a small part of it, Andrew Lloyd Weber's Whistle in the Wind. She sang it a capella for a reporter on MSNBC one day, made me shiver.

Her first dream – winning Britain's Got Talent – didn't come through. But nothing will keep Scottish singing phenom Susan Boyle's second wish – to perform in America – from coming true.
Boyle, 48, is taking some time off from completing her album, due on Nov 24, to jet across the Atlantic and perform in the States next week. She will appear on the America's Got Talent finale on Sept. 16, PEOPLE has learned.
I was so hoping she would grace us with her presence on AGT... wow.. I just read this and had to share.. I am so excited.. set your DVR's...
<snippet>
To prepare for the show, the songstress from the small town of Blackburn in West Lothian, Scotland, has had two fittings this week at the up-market store Suzanne Neville in Beachamp Place, London.
"It's going to be sensational, really wow. But it's obviously under wraps," a rep for the designer says. "Susan was very excited when she came into the store about her performance and about the dress. She's going to look amazing."
Her American appearance will build on the remarkable buzz around her. She has already shown her career's enormous potential, as the I Dreamed A Dream album has topped the Amazon.com's pre-order charts.

Just think a week from tonite.. Susan will be singing to us right here in the good old USA.. can't wait to see Pierce's face.. he's going to be smiling...
As well as Amazing Grace --oh my god, that might be the best version ever.
n addition to the Stones cover "Wild Horses," which Boyle recently performed on "America's Got Talent," the album will reprise her heart-stirring cover of the "Lés Misérables" song "I Dreamed a Dream," as well as such inspirational standards as "How Great Thou Art," "Amazing Grace" and "Silent Night."
Boyle will also tackle the jazz standard "Cry Me a River," Madonna's 1995 song "You'll See," the Monkees' "Daydream Believer," the contemporary folk tune "Up to the Mountain," the 1960s pop song "The End of the World" and a song called "Proud."
Also included is one original track written for Boyle, called "Who I Was Born to Be." One of Boyle's other beloved covers, "Memory" from the musical "Cats," however, is not included in the collection.

I cant wait until november 24!
Oh and she has not changed, she now has her own webpage and just updated it today, part of her comments:
Everyone treated me so well that I was humbled. I met some wonderful people who were very kind and gave me words of great encouragement. Thank you especially to all of those who made the journey to the television studios to watch my performance on America’s Got Talent. Your warm applause and encouragement helped me through my nerves. Sharon Osborne was very kind and came to my dressing room to wish me luck and I was very honoured to meet David Hasslehoff and it was great to see Piersy Baby again!
I went to Disneyland and went on Splash Mountain which was fantastic! I also achieved one of my personal ambitions which was to see the stars on the pavement in Hollywood.

She has such a breadth and range, she can sing anything. Her version of Wild Horses by Mick Jagger..he said she did better than any of his versions.
It is haunting but in a strange way..it made me understand the song in a form i never did before

she doesnt just have the...technical range and ability to hit the notes, but as my music teacher said "her voice has a voice".
her voice is unique..and she can simply stand at a microphone, no theatrics and transfix the world. rare.
with some amazing songs, i think my favorite is You'll See. (But then there is Amazing Grace, and another hymn as well as Wild Horses and Who I was Born to be..)
Omg it it makes me shiver. If you are thinking bout christmas presents this cd should do it but check out the song. It reminds me of this plain lady being laughed at on stage in glasgow who now has the biggest pre ordered cd of all time..we saw

I saw her on Today..she is quite a character but when she starts singing..wow! She still doesn't know how to "chat" during the little time they talk to her between songs..she will learn tho..in the meantime she has to be the best "good feeling" talent that has come along in a long time..
I am so happy for her success..good on you Susan!!

I can't wait to get this CD. To those that already have it please let us know how great it is!
This is to much...I just bought her cd today, i had downloaded some songs from youtube but my speakers are bad, and i really wanted to hear the cd. It is amazing, i took the long way home to hear it twice. Ballads/dirges..with small notes under the lyrics about what each means to her.
Today..the UK tabloids:
Susan Boyle took America by storm, but ended up breaking down and talking of retreating to her Scottish council house
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1231306/Sobbing-SuBo-just-wants-home-Susan-Boyle-took-America-storm-ended-talking-retreating-Scottish-council-house.html
Now...one of the examples of her terrible breaking down and crying?
On this trip, there have been tears again - at The Sea Grill in the Rockefeller Center in New York. Susan cried when she found that 162 of her most devoted fans from seven continents had contributed to a patchwork quilt for her.
WTF????? many of us saw it on tv when it happened, but even if you didn't duhhhhhh.. most people who are presented with a handmade quilt by 162 fans would cry happy tears. Dang it i would worry if she didn't..that is part of her magic.
omg i am so mad..i am going out to the car to get her cd and play it inside..and her original audition too.
why do they want to ruin the life of a wonderful singer whom they KNOW has some anxiety issues and a learning disability..who just put out a fabulous cd.
Why lie about her?
Her cd..when i stopped to buy it today, went into future shop, a young woman was there..they had some function going on, there was a table with a chamionship cup etc. but i said "susan boyle cd..where?" she stared..said i know that name..then..omg is it out already??? She asked a colleague, there were about 10 left..i took one and quietly chuckled as she took another.
The checkout boy, 25 maybe..problably 20. Saw her and said..ohh have you heard it? said he liked rock music but couldn't wait to hear her.
goddamit why do they want to crush her?
oh and another lovely jab to make her look nuts:
She did, though, do three note-perfect live performances at the Rockefeller Center - and evidently loved it, although she seems to have been so charged up that she resorted to sucking her thumb afterwards.
Nicola Phillips says: 'It's not something that I've have seen her do before. It's not like she does it usually. She is not a thumb-sucker.'
same link as above but the telegraph has the same story essentially etc.

I don't listen or take stock in anything the tabloids have to say. So, I hope that Susan wouldn't either. I could however see how this may get to her and I sure hope she doesn't allow it. Can't wait to get the cd myself!

They are unkind - and yet seem to understand her, also. The poor woman is really not up to all the touring is she? A few tears here and there wouldn't draw that much attention, but the thumb sucking blank stare is worrysome. I hope she gets a good long rest at home - and doesn't give it all up. Can't wait to hear the CD!

Considering what some performers do onstage, even if she DOES suck her thumb, well, thumb sucking is pretty tame by comparison. :chicken:
I just hope she has someone looking out for her best interests, financially and all. It would be all to easy to take advantage of her, and there is no shortage of those who would do it.

Oh she does. First is Simon Cowell. He may be a ^&# at times but he really took her under his wing, even before the final, which she lost..he told her he would tear up the contract re touring (the finalists all agreed to a 10 city tour) and would let her out if she wanted. He also arranged to have her cat flown in, and paid for family.
She has a neice who is in entertainment law, and even though simon was obviously about to sign her even before the end of BGT, he agreed to her nieces idea of having a separate manager who managed Bono and other major stars to go over the contracts etc.
Simon though has been her biggest protector. It is no mistake she didn't do a round of a dozen interviews here. She appeared on x factor and the dance show and idol, but that was b4 the cd. The rockefeller center was more her with fans singing than it was a formal interview..she was herself.
He rented her apartment, hired body guards but more importantly he hired her./the psychiatrist full time to be with her and available so when overwhelmed she was there but more importantly helped to ease the tense moments after she got out of hospital.
Most importantly, he has done everything he could including daily convos, to help her with all the new things but also insisted on no pressure..i.e if she didnt want to do an interview or felt unable to do an qappearance on the bgt tour that was totally her decision
In fact..i was thrilled for once he was the one who took her career in hand. He has the status and the power to keep the vultures away. unfortunately not the press. He may be a hard businessman but i have the impression his only concern with SB was her..and her wish to be a star.
Audra Mae, a singer/songwriter from Oregon i think, wrote the one original song on her cd. "Who i was born to be". She wrote it for Susan with 3 others..it is wonderful

Me either susan. Obviously it is on her CD but i still prefer that original audition with no production and a couple of wobbles - supposedly, i didnt hear them lol.
I actually have a playlist of the full 7 minutes with the judges/simon and the hosts..then her singing..omg
Watching the rolling eyes, Piers just trying not to show it as obviously as simon but holding back guffaws...then she starts to sing.
Most memorable part is at the end, when simons chin settles in his hands and he smiles as if he just saw heaven. He was shocked and smiling from the start but the end....he just gave in to his emotions and loved it.
After it played on air, Piers texted to Simon : "i think she is better than we even remembered", and simon simply texted back "yes". Course piers also said that he could see "kaching" in his eyes

I just watched her on Matt Lauer's Person of the Year special and she's doing fine.
He asked her about the pressure and she said she's ok.
He said she could make it all go away if she chose to but she doesn't.
(And she splurged on a new burgundy sectional sofa.)
Simon doesn't bother me. The only time I cringe is when he says something about a person's appearance. But I'm usually in complete agreement with him about the "talent" (or lack of it) he's judging, and honestly, though he can be harsh in his delivery, some of those Idol wannabes need a dang reality check. I often find myself just  over the fact their relatives and friends actually encouraged them to audition. Some of them are just horrible beyond belief, and yet absolutely convinced they have talent!
Oh true..but i meant the people who think Simon keeps people on slave contracts etc. and that he is a vulture to his signee's. He takes a huge cut..yet he also does a huge outlay on new talent.
However in susan's case there was never a question of forcing her to keep to a contract or to even do what most might expect.
Think about it..she lost BGT..then had a breakdown that from all accounts was pretty public/ugly (as most are), medical help was called and she was taken to the hospital. Simon would have been totally within his rights to not only gently drop her (the winners, Diversity, never got a call from him after their win lol) but at least not go out of his way. That he gave her a 24/7 psychiatrist to help deal with fame/loss etc and then flew her cat in to london and rented her an apartment..all of that yeah..good business but certainly without any knowledge of good investment, she certainly did break down.
IMO Simon showed a whole different side to him..the side that first emerged when it seemed like he was watching a heavenly chorus sing.
Hard businessman yes..but every step of the way, he told Susan he would tear up the contracts if it was what she wanted, while doing everything possible to help her deal with the change of a lifetime.

I'm really happy to hear that about Simon. It's obvious that she's had a tough life and I'm really glad that she has a protector. That is just wonderful.

Really bad ITA 200%!!!!!
Just out of curiousity....did she take it well not winning the final? Kind of glad I didn't see it, I would have been a mess worrying for her.
No she did not take it well.
Or let me put it this way, she was gracious and wonderful on the show.
Simon apparently saw what was not clear on the show...his words were 'oh hell, she does not know how to lose". not in a nasty way, he just saw she broke. She went bakc to the hotel and then really broke down, she was taken to the Priory hospital that night, a "rest home" i.e high class psychiatric hospital for stars.
She had been attacked every which way from sunday by the news and tabloids. As a woman with a learning disability due to lack of oxygen at birth..the village kids called her "simple susan"..she had fought or at least tried to fight against hate/names/labels.
She also suffered all her life with anxiety attacks, that has not been made to public thank goodness but it is part of her story.
So she took it very well on tv. The next morning she was hospitalized.
What a strong woman she is....just remember her words in the link i gave you, about trying to show she was not worthless. I am on disability for depression..i understand what she said, what amazes me is she went for her dream at 47. Won too..even if she came second, diversity didn't hear from Simon again, while Susan ..he did everything he could to help her
I LOVE her cd..but i hope she comes out with show tunes soon..these are dirges/ballads that show her life up to now. Next i want to hear her powerhouse voice dealing with the belting songs.

and yes...i was a mess worrying for her.. i knew she wouldn't win bc the tabloids actually asked ppl to vote fopr shaheen so they could stop Susan...arghh.. they knew it would split the v ote
Piers Morgan did a column/blog/frontpage telling the press to leave her alone, if you are interested i will give the link

I just do not know how people can be so cruel. It is just wrong.

I got this the day it came out. I love about 4-5 of the songs but the rest are nice. Daydream Believer is just too slow for me. I'm too used to the other version.

Thank you for your in depth response. Very interesting story. I am extremely sad for her that she has been put under so much pressure. Her voice is a gift...and like the female judge said at the beginning it is our pleasure to be able to hear it.

After Adam has pretty much self destructed (at least I don't hear any more "Mad World" quality songs from him)........................I am hoping that they played up Susan's talent for ballads.
Sometimes I wish these entertainers would not develop the gift of small talk. Just sing and leave it at that.

i really love half the songs as well, the others are nice. what makes me think its is a cd for everyone though is we probably have different preferences.
I read a review of her cd by someone..track by track and the ones she didn't like much i loved and vice versa.
It seems that not only does every song mean something special to her, but everyone will find some they love no matter what they prefer music wise in general

I think the music industry underestimates just how many of us are out here and just waiting for albums from people who can simply SING, with beautiful voices and no goofy gimmicks. Too bad people like Madonna win the game with no voice whatsoever.

Neither Adam Lambert's controversy nor Rihanna's 20/20 interview could derail the debut album release of Susan Boyle. Label and distribution executives have projected that Boyle's album could sale at least 600,000 copies this week.

Hi Xenam. I had pre-ordered this CD for my brother in law's birthday 2 months ago and lo and behold it arrived RIGHT on his birthday. He called and said it was the BEST gift he ever got. Now I am ordering a copy for myself. She has the most beautiful voice.

She certainly does. She was the epitome of "don't judge a book by its cover". I will NEVER forget the looks on the audience's and the judge's faces when Susan opened her mouth to sing.

I hope Susan has continued success and that dealing with the press isn't too much.
and the other is a bonus song that was on the japanese cd, apparently so many japanese wrote in asking she sing it that they made it a special track just for the cd released there.
This woman is amazing, if you missed the hour special hosted by Piers Morgan where she sings a duet with Elaine Paige, yo can watch it online at ITV.
The song "wings to fly" may be the best single track she has done yet, i am posting the ned nickerson version..he puts it to video so the first part is from the movie "mar al dentro" or the sea inside, then susan starts singing as the dying man is "flying" over the land in his dreams. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O69DuZZ6vuY
Her duet..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9o8PgJPUjfo is great, partly perhaps bc i love the song "know him so well" and partly bc i know elaine paige is her idol but also because they sing it so well.

Thanks Tootie! I actually have the show on cd now, a friend who lives a few hours from me and has high speed uploaded the 5 parts on youtube and burned it on cd, spent 20 dollars sending it up by bus so i got it within 24 hours of the show airing :) Watched it again last night.
One thing that impressed me which i had a feeling of, but never had been actually said as clearly was Simon's belief in her, the effect her audition had on him - we all saw the smile full of wonder at the end of it he had, but he actually called it magical and a feeling he has never had in an audition ever, and how seriously he took his "duty of care", that when susan collapsed it was the lowest moment for the show ever.
I always was pleased that Simon was the one who "discovered" her bc despiste his 'slave contracts' as some artists describe them, he was the only one i felt powerful enough to sweep the vultures away and shepherd her as she went through the metamorphosis from unknown to global superstar in her own right. I never realized how very seriously he took this role though, as mentor and to make the process fun and easy for Susan. Saw an interview where he was asked who makes the most money in the deal, he said the record label..its how it normally works, but he had been willing to walk away from it and tear up any contract with her all through the process if it is what she wanted. Not that she isn't making a fortune as well.
I just loved her tears of joy when she was presented the platinum album award for a triple platinum. She seemed shocked, i don't think it actually sunk in what she had accomplished until she physically was given the award.
Her story still inspires, maybe because she is truly so good.
When Sir Cameron, the producer of Les Mis said on the special that when she started to sing he was literally on the edge of his seat and wondered if she could sustain it til the end of the song (I think he meant the chorus) then said no one has ever before owned I Dreamed a Dream until susan boyle. Considering the greats who have sung it, and coming from him what a terrific compliment.
That she sang with Elaine Paige was one incredible moment for her, that she also sang with the cast of Les Miserable was something i will never forget either.
She still has spunk too..lol I had heard the producer kept telling her to be still when she sung the song written for her, cause she did a little dance jig in the middle..but she did it again, at least twice. I just thought she finally gave in but nope. You may have missed it when viewing the special, i did until last night but the producer had to go with a long shot from the back of the auditorium to try and not show her little dance, you can hardly see her do it but its clearer if you watch the big screen..I think she decided, this song was written for me, about my life and dream and becoming who i was meant to be and if i want to do a little dance in it, i am doing a little dance!
imo
WOW. another contestants mom realized she had susan on tape after her daughter sang, this is susan in her 30's belting out..and the main line is so ironic "remember my name'
THE mop of curls is familiar, the voice unmistakeable, but this is singing sensation Susan Boyle as you've never seen her before.
Taking a nervous glance at the audience of just 180, she announces: "This one is called Fame."
She then belts out a stunning version of the Irene Cara classic, including the famous line: "Remember my name . . ."

You are welcome! I keep up on her, i just find her voice superb, her story inspirational. If you can, go to youtube and find the Susan Boyle Story, it was an hour long special on the 13th (its in 5 or 6 parts depending who uploaded it). oh was it good. she sang a duet with her idol elaine page and sang i dreamed a dream with the cast of Les Miserables around her on stage. Also was given the triple platinum award plaque and started to cry. It was also neat hearing simon and piers real thoughts about her audition and her story.

OH what a special day/night you had then!
I did the same when her first youtube video that 300mill downloaded came out..i was up all night, at least til 7 am watching, listening and crying tears of amazement and happiness.
She does have a good team, Simon Cowell still feels he has a duty of care towards her, and he got a fulltime doctor/psychiatrist for her when she got out of hospital who stayed with her quite some time, and they ensure if she gets fragile or needs to get home and be normal a little then she gets that. They postponed then cancelled her appearance in Toronto partly because she was exhausted and still was going to europe and NZ so she could have a break in between north america and the rest of the trip.
He paid for her cat to be flown to london after she lost, she has a great manager (Bono and U2s one) who works with Simon to get the best deal for her.
I think she is getting stronger though for two reasons. From what she said in New Zealand, she is actually getting treatment for depression and/or anxiety disorder which it sounds like she always suffered from, and the cameras and papparazzi aren't as scary to her any more. LOL there was a great pic in the sun or daily mail of her throwing snow balls at the ones gathered outside her house with a big grin on her face. Not in anger but just fun.
I think...they must of reminded her of the village kids at first, the media who went after her and called her names, the kids who threw stones at her house or taunted her as she walked to shops with "simple susan". talk about flashbacks!

Susan spotted someone on her grounds in the garden area. Apparently there is security but I have to agree with her brother that she should move to a place that has better security available. She sounds like me they could take anything but leave my pets alone. I do hope she considers getting to a place with better security.
Boyle spotted the intruders lurking around her garden while peering out the window, according to PerezHilton.com.
The moment she saw them, the men fled. But her brother, Gerry Boyle, told the U.K.'s Daily Record he thinks she should move to someplace better fortified.
"I hate to think what might have happened if they had broken into the house when she was on her own," Boyle told the Daily Record. "They could have had knives on them or anything."
Not that the singer herself seemed overly concerned.
"Susan rang me to tell me she'd had intruders, like it was an everyday occurrence," her brother told the Daily Record. "She hadn't mentioned the incident to anyone or even reported it to the police. When she casually dropped it into the conversation I was really shocked. This can't go on any longer. She now has to realize that living in this small house is no longer suitable and more importantly not safe for her."
The star's sibling added that it wouldn't be worth any thieves' time to stage a break in.
"The truth is there is nothing in there worth stealing," he said. "The only thing she would be heartbroken to lose is her cat."
That may be true for now. But with the w

Susan Boyle snubbed, gets no Brit Award nomination

Women are dominating the nominations for Britain's leading music awards — the Brits — but Internet sensation Susan Boyle was snubbed on the shortlist. Quirky chanteuses Florence and the Machine, Pixie Lott, Lily Allen and Lady GaGa all have three nominations.
Other British contenders include boy band JLS, Leona Lewis, Bat for Lashes, Paolo Nuttini and Dizzee Rascal.
Nominees in the international categories include Bruce Springsteen, Eminem, Jay-Z, Michael Buble and Shakira.
Robbie Williams will receive an award for outstanding contribution to music at the Feb. 16 ceremony in London.
