Has anyone else noticed how Nancy Grace hasn't covered this case in a very long time? Even when there's noteworthy news (like today's doc dump), not a word about it on Nancy. I'm starting to wonder if there was a problem between Nancy and the Anthony's and she just refuses to give them anymore publicity?? Nancy isn't usually one to back away from conflict. I really miss her coverage of this case!

and what is interesting about the shovel/bamboo story:
the shovel most likely will be introduced via the neighbor. he will reiterate the bamboo excuse she gave to him.
the problem with that is, and the state should focus on it somehow:
Casey states her daughter was missing for 31 days. why would she be digging up bamboo in the middle of the afternoon at the house she wasnt living at, and her daughter was abducted.
Brian Burner will further state how many times he saw her back at the house, BACKING HER CAR IN.
which will further deflate the anthonys prepared statements of 'what casey told us'...she was in and out of that house several times. and they knew it.

i can't make sense of the concern over the ladder vs. bamboo coverup. and was it that big of a pool that the ladder ended up so far inside it that she needed a shovel to get it? we had a similar style pool, and unless i tossed it in, i cant imagine the ladder being so far in i would need a shovel. and would i need it so urgently i would borrow one from a neighbor? if it were actually to retrieve my daughter, even if logic told me she was dead, i would climb into that pool and get her.
it seems to me that the only problem with that convo was casey messing up the cindy-written script.

Bolded by me....I think you may be onto something. IIRC one of the last episodes of Nancy Grace that featured this case was the one where Tim Miller made accusations against Lenny saying they could make big money off this case. Maybe Nancy just didn't want to be any part of this circus anymore....strange for her because her and her "bombshells" have always been front and center for every circus.....JMO

I am having serious trouble, with the swollen eyes of the more recent photos of Caylee. Looks like a complete shiner in one photo.
I've always felt that Casey had a lot to hide, abuse wise with Caylee. And that certain photos may show something. What is most disturbing of all, is that Caylee is looking at her killer in these photos, in hind site. In retrospect they are difficult to look at, because she looks disturbed, herself. And we all know why.
One photo of her very young, shows her huge eyes and I think that Casey had a problem with looking into her eyes. That is why she had those BUCKETS on her dresser of shades, always covering Caylee's eyes. It's just my personal assessment of their relationship but I've always felt she had the need to cover her face, and her eyes. Either with hats or shades, it was excessive.
In some photos we can see why. Look at the way, Caylee is looking at Casey. It's so upsetting.
:(

1. Lenny dropped a few hints about the person who brought him into the case. He "still works as an announcer," "not Geraldo," and something about "he went to his Fox affiliate." Who could this be?
2. Tracy said the paper/agreement she signed was not notarized, yet the copy Jose presented shows that her signature was notarized.

Mamie -- one of Lenny's stories in his interview (per people who listened, which I have not yet), was that several pizzas were delivered the day Casey was bailed out and everyone was at the Ants' house. So they're all chowing on pizzas, and Lenny asks who ordered them. Lee says HE did. Then it is somehow discovered (hope you're sitting down), Lee LIED! He didn't really order the pizzas. So Lenny went ballistic on Lee, telling him this wasn't a game and the pizzas could be from anyone, and could be laced with cyanide.

Checkin' in to the weekend thread! I just finished reading all of today's posts on the regular Caylee board, and earlier today did listen to all of Lenny, Tracy and Rob tapes. I got about half-way through Cindy's and the noise interference was too bad for me to hear what was being said, so I gave up on that and hope for a transcript.
I also want to get to the other site tonight (the one Tracy thinks has losers, LOL) and see what's being said there.
I kind of would have liked having Tracy's job, LOL :-) I remember when George and Lee were advertising for non-paid 24/7 assistants, it would be cool to be that close to the inner workings of the family but not with their conditions and "pay".
It sounds like it did make Tracy a bit nuts to be there, but wow, what a great inside perspective on the family (I get very interested in the inner workings of relationships and families and this one fascinates me, though I sure wouldn't want to be a member or even around them for "too" long).

Do you suppose Caylee looked just like her biological father to the point that Casey hated her for that?
As much as Casey loves a free ride I can't believe she didn't go after the biological father for support and NO I don't believe the story about the dead father and all the garbage about him leaving anything for Caylee.
Another thing I have a problem with. Casey finding new friends to hang out with after she had Caylee. That's another reason why I wonder about the real father.

Sorry if this has been posted before..haven't had time to read everything tonight...but wasn't it typical Cindy... when Tracy related the story of how they didn't know Casey was going to be arrested and they were watching Nancy Grace and had called 911 regarding the protesters...they think the police are responding to the 911 call...when they come for Casey? Ok... There are protesters outside, media all over, the neighbors are probably aware of all this...and Cindy asks the police .. if they can't "take Casey out through the garage!" (something like that!) Heh! Still trying to protect that image...it wasn't the fact that Caylee is missing, Casey is being arrested...but what people might THINK as Casey is being led out the front door.

Yes, how the staff loved her, how they were sneaking her special food--I wonder about this too. However it occurred to me that when she was there the first time, she hadn't been charged yet with first degree murder. Maybe some of the staff thought it was possible that Caylee really had been kidnapped.
I'm sure she's not getting that kind of treatment now. She looked so bad in her last court appearance, I don't think anyone is giving her attention, much less "love". And she's having to buy her own pork rinds.

JMO
Right, and the entitlement. Casey was being ARRESTED, not given special treatment!
It is so typically Cindy.

Yes, last year when I read and listened to George's statements to LE and he said that put his nose down to it....that made me sick.
How could a person do that??? Let alone a Grandpa??

Fear, denial, hoping he'd get a clue that it really was something else--huge denial.
But he knew from that instant.

Per Tracy, she pulled out every item of clothing she owned, piece by piece, and described why she bought each one.
I'd prefer a simultaneous root canal and pap/pelvic exam to sitting through that.

And she's having to buy her own pork rinds.
i think that in casey's mind, everyone loves her. everyone think's she's beautiful....men all want her and women want to be her. she's sitting in her cell right now fantasizing about the new "prison chic" trend she's started. she's listening to her little radio thinking about how howard stern will be cancelled any day now because she's not available to do his show. which brings me to my next point....how howard would have wanted to know her bra size and if she was having relations with jose....the bra size remark made sense, considering howard stern, but the jose remark seemed a bit strange to me. and it would fit the profile of a girl of her mental age (which i'm guessing to be around 13) to bring that up in hopes her audience would want more info. i think if that was something that happened, she would have told tracy. i think the remark shows it's something she wanted to happen.

They'll never tell. Hell, they probably can't even remember. But Caylee's eyes tell the truth, imo. And the truth is her short life seems to have been only slightly more tolerable than her death.
Sadly, Caylee never stood a chance.

It is in my opinion that ALL of the Anthonys- Jose - Lenny - Tony are nothing but a bunch of players! The jury is still out on what Tracy left out of her interview and I believe Rob seemed to be the most disturbed about the lying - coniving bunch.
Tony has thrown out his spill about a book to get feedback from the losers. AND Lenny has been a game player from Day ONE. He plays both sides and knows nothing. He spent zero time with Casey and I honestly think he just throws out whatever he thinks might stick to the wall. He got in way deep with the attention he was getting and he wants MORE... just like Casey and Cindy!! All of them want $$$$
and to them Caylee is not important because they all accept the fact that she is dead.
I hope the State throws Lenny to the side and doesn't even call him--he is another liar. I will never forget his memorial episode. What a joke and crock he is. IMO
I hope Nancy Grace continues to keep him off her show and throws him to the sidelines as well. He said so much BS and had everyone thinking he had the inside scoop, when he had nothing.
NOW he is in constant contact with Jose--- and from the postings at the other place Tony remains in contact with George and Cindy, and claims what fantastic wonderful people they are, he loves them.
Puke Puke and more Puke...... all of them.
Justice for Caylee will prevail -- that I am certain. Anyone that buys a book from any of the players in this tangled web will be supporting all of them off of Caylee's murder. Makes me so angry!!
Anyway- enough of my rant.

There is no telling what is in the mind of 'that girl'. She is one messed up chick. She messed with everyone's head she came in contact with and that is the reason she had no long term friendships!! She had to keep getting new friends because everyone caught on to her whacky ways!
Oh the nerve of 'that girl' claiming everyone was lying from the discovery. AND then the comment to Tracy about they don't even have the timeline right. OMG..... and Rob was deeply disturbed about her comment : they haven't even found the clothes she was wearing!!
Oh how did someone not throttle 'that girl'....?? I would be in some deep doo if I would have ever had contact with her. OH YEA.... deep

Do you think she regrets what she did to Caylee. Not just because she's sorry but because of where she's sitting right now and can not run around like she did before. I wonder if she sits and thinks about what other means she could have approached besides murdering her baby girl.
Like putting her up for adoption or allowing Cindy to take full guardianship.
What I do think is Cindy really never wanted full guardianship or adopting Caylee. I think that was Cindy's way of controlling Casey. You know, threatening her.
The sad part is she never thought in a million that her own daughter thought Caylee was nothing but in the way and a burden.

After reading here almost every day for a year, I sort of thought most of the world did, too! Today, at the office, I was sharing the news with my corporate colleagues regarding the release of the new information in the Casey Anthony case. The majority of folks didn't really know much about it...one even asked if she was the one who drove her kids into the LAKE (fgs!!)
Just now, I was perusing the Most Viewed news stories on Yahoo...and the document release wasn't even mentioned and I scrolled down pretty far. I can't seem to grasp the fact that everyone ELSE isn't as familiar with this as WE are! I guess Casey's autographed photos won't bring as much as she expected, huh? Do many of you experience this same lack of knowledge about the case in your local real worlds? (I'm in Ga.)

There is only so much show that can be done after you let the viewers know about the interviews with Lenny and his posse. Cindy is certainly the same story. Can't believe a word she says.

Well if it was Cindy who wrote the script about the shovel/bamboo it was stoopid. I doubt Casey ever lifted a finger around there in the yard, let alone around the pool area.
If she wanted to do something (on a regular day) she might have cleaned out that filthy car of hers. That was disgusting.
the problem is they are all nonsensical: THEY FORGET THAT SHE SAID CAYLEE WAS GONE ON JUNE 16TH, park, sawgrass, whatever, (all lies)....so why would she be bopping back into the home, borrowing a shovel to dig up bamboo? while her daughter is KIDNAPPED?
the state is going to have quite a day in court regarding the shovel....as well as testimony from the neighbor: several trips back to the home, BACKING HER CAR INTO THE DRIVEWAY....and one of those days is SHOVEL DAY....
the shovel story needs only one preface by the state: her daughter was supposedly kidnapped and she has a spell of urgency, not about Caylee, but about a bamboo root....at a house she was no longer living in.
the incidental story by Tracy: shovel/pool ladder. again, why would she be home, borrowing a shovel, to assist her in getting the pool ladder out of the pool....while her daughter is KIDNAPPED?
IT MAKES NO SENSE!
however......it WILL make alot of sense to the jurors.
IMO
best regards,

From Tracy's description, Casey and Lee have very similar personalities and are both demanding people ("don't come in here if you have a closed mind" or something like that).
They are chips off the old block (Cindy) but I wonder how Cindy mothered and nurtured her own two children.

From Tracy's description, Casey and Lee have very similar personalities and are both demanding people ("don't come in here if you have a closed mind" or something like that).
They are chips off the old block (Cindy) but I wonder how Cindy mothered and nurtured her own two children.
Liars liars liars the same as she is, I imagine.:sneaky:
I had my my first at 24 and my second at 39. 15 years apart but I raised them the same way. Now, when my Grand daughter comes to visit I spoil her but IF I was raising her I would do what I already know. The same as my other two.
 But, who knows with Cindy because she is whacked.

I loved that plan and it worked like a charm!
You know at this point I think Rob is the only one of the circus bunch that uh..... I'll just say has his light bulb screwed in properly.
Rob needs to remove himself completely away from Lenny & Tony..!
He has a great dis-like for the entire Anthony crew... at least that is the way I perceived the tape.
LOL... Casey and wanting to know about the helicopter... and then to continue saying the helicopter would be around later. OMG...!!
She probably thought she was right up with Paris Hilton or Lindsey Lohan. ROFLMAO that's why she wore the big sun-glasses that she stole with Amy's money. Oh and the short shorts with the tight blue shirt...!! The gonads of her to carry her binder with Caylee's photo dangling from it. :cursing:

He is easy to listen to and follow along-- plus he gave me a pretty good visual of Casey and their little trips to LB office.

The day he and Tracy came up with the 'iggy' feature for Casey was a hoot. It just killed her...!! lol

yay for broadband :D
I listened to Tracy and Padilla...only got as far as Cindy and Matt getting to the lunch and then background noise made it too hard to hear. Had the same error with Rob D's interview others are having, it cuts off after the introduction.
I don't know if anyone has commented on some of this, in quite the same way cause i'm too worn out with burning eyes and allergy attacks to try and keep up but this is what I got from the interviews:
The pizza deliveries? I think Lee was a little abashed and didn't want to admit all wasn't hunky dory to Padilla. He KNEW what all those pizzas were about. I'm not going to go as far as say shame, cause we are talking about an Anthony here. I think it might have been the closest thing someone from that family could have come to an appropriate emotion, almost embarrassment at being called out on the stupid lies being put out in the public.
Tracy pretty much confirmed what a lot of us were thinking all along: Casey is a thirteen year old kid in a woman's body. I mean...matching outfits? Making her listen to song's that she thinks is her life? Wearing a watch on her ankle so they match? WTH>!> It's like any kind of attention is a positive. Any normal human being over the age of fourteen would be humiliated about that thing, and wear socks or long pants over it, and draw as little attention to it as possible. Instead, Casey turned it into a fashion accessory. And listening to the news, trying to say that 'lots of people' had access to her car...:sneaky: Come on, WHY would lots of people have access to her car? All her 'friends' worked for a living and had their own cars, why would they need her---nvm, I'm gonna stop right there, trying to reason with some of this is gonna make my brain explode.
Turning the convos back to herself every time Caylee was mentioned...definitely an attention hound, and Cindy is no better, sniffling at that song and saying it was hers, too...ew...
Yeah, in Casey's eyes, it was a big old girly slumber party.
And her wanting to take her lie detector test...'for Jose'...not to clear herself, or to get the investigation off of her, and back onto her 'missing' child, but for her new honeybun ...Makes me want to barf I'd better stop while I'm still able to see somewhat clearly...

JMO
I know only one person I can talk to about this case. It's a friend of mine who just happened to have been visiting me several times as I was watching NG. Most of what she saw went over her head and she will ask about the case periodically (only because she knows my interest in it), but it's obvious she doesn't know too much about it at all. And she's really not that interested to find out more. Every one else I know (in person) has not the foggiest idea who I'm talking about when I mention the case. I guess every body else has lives - and are not losers!!

my sister just finished a custody battle with the pennsylvania version of the anthony's. the only difference in behavior was the son and daughter were opposite of lee and casey in personality. i sometimes wish that sociopathic tendancies were legal cause for forced sterilization. i know it's not moral or ethical. but a girl can dream :blushing:

He has been nothing but trouble with a capital T since he rode into town on that horse of his. He doesn't know anything! Casey even ordered him out of HER house. Have you ever noticed how she always calls it her house? Even the first jail house phone call home when she was talking with Christina, asking who was at her house? Convinced Amy that Hopepsring was her house. She's a nutjob through and through. She had no problems at all murdering sweet Caylee and after watching her rage in that one jail house video.... I can picture her in a full blown rage killing Caylee. Many of the photos released show a very scared Caylee in her facial expressions.... and I'm sure Casey was mean as he$$ to that baby. She kept her in the car seat most of her life and I can just imagine Casey yelling at her if she said anything while on the phone with all of her lover boys.
Poor Caylee Bug..... so so sad..!!
She is at peace now and away from that dark hole of evil surrounding her every waking moment. Finally- she is in loving arms and has plenty of little play mates. This sounds so horrible, but so very true... since Caylee's life on earth would have been a continued hell, she really is in a better place. God's plan is not finished yet-- he is still dealing with the rest of them.
yes, i do have that same experience. i really don't see there being a need for a change of venue. even in orlando, not everyone follows this case as closely as we do. they see the headlines now and then, but it's just one of many news stories in that area.
jmo
That's my feelings on most of these cases. Even in high profile cases there are many local folk who don't pay much attention to the case @ all. Even if it is on the local news (I must admit, it's been MONTHS since I've listened to the local news around here.) Some don't read the papers much. Don't tell Cindy or Casey, but some people are so involved in their own trials and tribulations that they don't have the time to focus on someone else's.

I think it's difficult to have a show on the specifics of a case when all the th know everything is a lie. How can they give out anything facts when all they will hear is, liars, liars, liars..
There is only so much show that can be done after you let the viewers know about the interviews with Lenny and his posse. Cindy is certainly the same story. Can't believe a word she says.
I didn't know NG had a problem with LP. I am assuming so by what I'm reading here???
It wasn't about LP.
Her network added up the CA hours , the ratings were plunging......not everyone wants to hear one case over and over and over when there are so many other cases out there.
People complained. *we really are in the minority*
Good morning everyone! ooooo, Casey is going to be so mad that Tracy talked about things that Casey wanted to be kept "private" (just bewteen the two of them). Guess that Tracy probably won't be getting a Christmas card from you-know-who this year.

and what is interesting about the shovel/bamboo story:
the shovel most likely will be introduced via the neighbor. he will reiterate the bamboo excuse she gave to him.
the problem with that is, and the state should focus on it somehow:
Casey states her daughter was missing for 31 days. why would she be digging up bamboo in the middle of the afternoon at the house she wasnt living at, and her daughter was abducted.
Brian Burner will further state how many times he saw her back at the house, BACKING HER CAR IN.
which will further deflate the anthonys prepared statements of 'what casey told us'...she was in and out of that house several times. and they knew it.
IMO
best regards,
Pru

and how the heck do you use a shovel to get a ladder out of a pool?
Yesterday, Imperfect4 did a fantastic job transcribing that portion of Tracy's tape: http://boards.insessiontrials.com/showthread.php?p=13438903&highlight=shovel#post13438903
This is soooo weird:
At 7:27 on the Tracy tape
So were sitting in the kitchen and they start bringing up the shovel. And Im just sitting there this is my little thing, Id sit there and play with my phone and act like Im not paying attention. She starts talking about the shovel and she says, Well hello, they didnt even have the time line right. And her mom says, No. Casey says, They didnt have the time line right. And then her mom said, Yeah, they didnt even know what you were doing. She goes Hello! I was using it to knock the bamboo down. And then she said, And get the ladder out of the pool. And as soon as she said that, Im sitting like this, her mom looks at her like Shut up. George walks in from the back room, shaking his head (Im not supposed to see), getting in the cupboard. Like Just drop that. So thats when she said getting the ladder out of the pool. Thats what she needed the ladder for.
Why did both Cindy and George react to Casey mentioning the pool ladder to Tracy?
Another question re the pool ladder, the A's made such a big deal telling LE about child proofing the house with cabinet locks and putting a padlock on the shed, etc. Why didn't they invest in a ladder guard or a child safety ladder?
I am not sold on Caylee drowned in the pool. IMO, natural instinct would have been to grab the phone and call 911. It would have been an automatic without even thinking. I think whatever happened to Caylee happened at the hand of her mother and did not involve the pool.

The ankle bracelet story Tracy told made me laugh. For those that have not listened to Tracy's interview...
Casey made Tracy put a wristwatch on her ankle. Casey said they could paint it blue so they would have matching ankle bracelets. Tracy's was a wristwatch and Casey's was the court monitoring ankle bracelet.

I have to get small dial watches and take my watches down to the last, or next to the last notch on the bracelet yet I'm pretty sure I couldn't get a watch on my ankle. Could you guys?

No need to use duct tape on a drowning victim, you're right. Casey killed Caylee over jealousy. Caylee was stealing the attention that Casey wanted for herself. "Tony only wanted boys."

I picture Casey sitting in her bedroom making a new band for the watch out of all her bracelet making supplies.
The more I see of Casey - pics of her bedroom, her craft and photo book craft making supplies, witness statements re Casey, the more I think Casey was immature for her age especially being a mother. Children have a way of making one grow up - fast.
Well that didn't come out right... i.e Casey's beads are what I see the grade school age children using. I think they are called pony beads. By the time they are Casey's age, they are more into the smaller glass beads. Her scrapbooking supplies appear to be pretty juvenile too imo.

kc's pretty short, right? so did she STAND on something to see over the sides of the pool? and did the ladder float? if it sunk to the bottom, how on earth would a shovel get it out? and why did she feel the need to get the ladder out of the pool when she didn't live there anymore? wouldn't it make more sense to climb on something, get into the pool and put the ladder back? these are all rhetorical questions, of course.

and how the heck do you use a shovel to get a ladder out of a pool?
Yesterday, Imperfect4 did a fantastic job transcribing that portion of Tracy's tape: http://boards.insessiontrials.com/showthread.php?p=13438903&highlight=shovel#post13438903

A shovel would be my last choice to get a ladder out of the pool. Especially if you had to borrow one from the neighbor. Grab a chair and crawl in...its florida in July, not Minnesota.

good morning everyone!
is their pool an above-ground? if so, how high is it? sorry - just working on first cuppa joe. looks like i'll need a LOT more to get thru everything that's been released.
Morning syd,
No, it was not above ground. IIRC, we have a video of Cindy in the pool with Caylee and they are inside a built in pool in the back yard.
In fact it was the first video I remember where someone in that house had physical contact with her on video.

(ah- but it was June, and Cindy said that Casey said it was too cold to swim one evening...)
I agree with ya, get a sturdy chair or a folding step ladder (if they had one) and get in. If she didn't want to get her face/hair wet, just use her foot. Or the pool skimmer to pull it up towards her.
However, none of this happened, imo.

i think cindy was trying to put together an "accident" scenario to help take the focus off of kc. problem is, she really didn't have enough time to figure out all the angles before le became involved. that, coupled with the fact that she thinks everyone should believe that what comes out of the collective mouths of that family is absolute truth and that everyone else is stoopid, would make me believe she thought the story would be "bought" without question.
iirc, in one of cindy's statements to le, she said that kc would be the kind of person to call 911 EVEN IF IT WAS AN ACCIDENT! that just blew me away. des - a little help here? i can't find the quote because when i was reading the statements, the "find" command didn't work.

LOL, sure, just don't forget where you got it from.
Do you think she was trying to pry up the pavers- and that is why the A's lifted the pavers, because they could tell they'd been disturbed?
Actually, imo- the ground under pavers or that big plastic storage box would make for easier digging, should be nice and soft with no turf to dig thru (if that stuff had been sitting on top of the ground for any length.) But she still might've hit a good amount of roots that she just wasn't going to exert herself over.

Can you explain to me please what "my bold" means? Iīm getting crazy īcause I tried to find out but was unsuccesful with that.

Iīm sorry for being that dumb but it seems itīs quite often used in your language.

Aww don't feel bad LL, Lavinia talks funny.

I have seen the Anthonys' pool ladder. I can't think of any way that it could get "in the pool" where a shovel would be needed to retrieve it. Usually when the Anthonys say something that doesn't make sense, it means they are lying.
I agree. always a lie. doesnt make any sense. the entire thing would have to be lifted up and dumped in the pool. shovel, for WHAT?

I watched a little bit of the MK sentence yesterday and after seeing the jury and how smart they were not to believe the whining of his family I think Casey is (speaking in your words now) toast. Whatever that means though.
It´s obvious that Ms Anthony is just dumb. LE ever made an IQ-test on her? And why we are at it...they should do that with the whole family.
That could be the only way out there.
I´m just saying...

my dear swab- dontcha remember- they did have shovels, however, they had to be locked up in the shed- due to the gas can thief on the loose in the neighborhood, and they never bothered to give Casey a key.
They started locking things up (so they said) when Caylee was able to be more mobile and started getting into things, they didn't want her to get into any yard poisons and such.
Always the prudent thinking grandparents- trying to prevent accidents.
wow
Has anyone else noticed how Nancy Grace hasn't covered this case in a very long time? Even when there's noteworthy news (like today's doc dump), not a word about it on Nancy. I'm starting to wonder if there was a problem between Nancy and the Anthony's and she just refuses to give them anymore publicity?? Nancy isn't usually one to back away from conflict. You know who might get an answer on why NG has dropped this case-
Warhorse.
Maybe someone should PM her and ask her about emailing Nancy with that question. I know she does hear back from NG on other issues (she recently had one of our posters mentioned & an audio book sent to her, because WH passed on the info).
(however, the info may all have to stay in PMs and not mentioned on the board if a reason is given)

LOL, not that she actually used the pool to clean them. I'm thinking the garden house. But in trying to recap things in her head, and make up stories along the way, she could have said she put the shovel in the pool to get the ladder out. Trying to cover her tracks. It would have sounded suspicious if she said she washed the shovel. Who washes shovels?
We need Des to get the shovel report for us. I don't remember anything about it so I don't think there was anything in it. But Des can tell us for sure.
Casey using the garden hose to clean the shovel: unwind the hose, turn on the spigot, squeeze trigger on hose nozzle, use fingers or tool to scrape off packed on soil, turn off the spigot, hose off legs from splashing water/dirt, turn off spigot, and rewind the hose.
Casey using the pool to clean the shovel:
walk to pool edge, dunk shovel several times up and down in pool, use fingers or tool to scrape off packed on soil, rinse hands off in pool, dry. shovel.
I vote she would use the pool.

well, other than her having a dead child on her hands and what to do with that- she may have needed the shovel to try to break into the shed to get to the gas cans, and that didn't work out so well for her- but she couldn't tell either truth to her neighbor could she...
hey, I need your shovel to bury a dead child
hey, I need your shovel to break a lock off the shed to get to my parents shovel and to steal some gas cans
The only one that bought and sold the bamboo story was Cindy, and she tried to sell that to every reporter and cop she could.
Recall, she had Casey in J'ville and Tampa with visits in between to do yard work.

I wish one of her friends would've noticed Casey's hands during that week- because she better have stolen her a pair of gloves, or else she would've worked herself up some gnarly blisters on her hands if she spent any time using the shovel with some effort behind it.
And- ruin her nails- haven't you seen some of her pics? She appears to be a nail biter.
then why do you think she had them done? could it be because she ruined them trying to dig something up?

:(
I thought this early on, but people from Florida and other sunny areas explained that sunglasses and hats are daily wear and a wide assortment of each is common. I still have a feeling that it was a manner of avoiding "seeing" Caylee.

BB states, car backed into the garage, claims she needed it to DIG UP BAMBOO. that story came directly from Casey AND IT IS NONSENSICAL when coupled with the date she gave for 'the abduction'.
BB witnessed her several times backing into the garage. this is a problem for the defense, borrowing the shovel a couple of days later to do YARD WORK, after Caylee is supposedly being held captive somewhere.

Rob's were interesting Deannalyn. He more or less just corroberated what Tracy said though.
It appears that Lenny got a lot of his tidbits that he shared on NG, from Tracy and Robert. Robert seems like a sensible, decent guy. He was concerned about Tracy being alone in the house with Lenny and Robert staying at a motel some distance away and suggested the RV. He also seemed to have a strong dislike for Casey and knew she was trying to work her wiles on him. One thing Tracy and Roberts interviews do though is confiirm a lot of what Lenny said. Lenny maybe a bit of a story teller but he didn't lie about what went on in the Anthony house. Robert also expressed what a lot of people were thinking back then, that Casey might kill herself.

Good Morning everyone...happy holiday weekend.
I have thought for some time now that the neighbor's shovel and the borrowing of same is a red herring. I don't believe she used that shovel for anything other than a diversion for LE....I believe she tried to dig in her own backyard with an Anthony shovel from the 'locked' shed(s). There's no way she didn't know where the keys were. She had ToneE break in for the gas cans so her parents wouldn't immediately suspect her. LE tested the wrong shovel(s)...they should have checked every shovel in the shed(s). She intended for the neighbor to report the shovel borrowing and she knew there would be nothing on it.

I think it was a play thing. Every summer I get my kids cute sunglasses, Spiderman and Dora, and they looove them. They play with them, wear them in the house when they are pretending, etc. They play with my prescription glasses if they get up before me, and they can't find their cute shades. I don't think it's that unusual for Caylee to enjoy playing with her sunglasses. The grownups might have just thought she looked cute playing with the big people glasses and play glasses and took her pic. I don't think every single thing in this case is necessarily a coverup, though its usually the first thought when dealing with these people.

How many times have we seen this exact same set of facts? But you have really put them together for me Pru and I agree with you, the time sequence for borrowing this shovel is very incriminating, considering what casey anthony said was ongoing at the time.
There is only one reasonable explanation for why she was back at that house, borrowing a neighbor's shovel, something to do with the body.

To be fair to Nancy Grace, the Michael Jackson death really swept all the news off the airways for a bit, then we had more
kids disappearing and murdered and she covered those tragic cases.
Lately, I am concerned about NG talking about her twins and showing pictures of them, especially after having families on who have lost or missing children. Something about that just doesn't sit well with me.

I am still shaking my head over that one.

I guess Jose told her Tracy was there for her entertainment. Jose has her number though about her talking, he was in a panic that she might blab all to Tracy. He just hasn't figured out that she's played him all along. Just like a fiddle.

WOW! bbm-
omg Ladyhawk- excellent theory here- a diversion with the shovels.
just one big shell game with her, and her family.
(I don't recall them testing the family's shovel/s tho)

To be fair to Nancy Grace, the Michael Jackson death really swept all the news off the airways for a bit, then we had more
kids disappearing and murdered and she covered those tragic cases.
Lately, I am concerned about NG talking about her twins and showing pictures of them, especially after having families on who have lost or missing children. Something about that just doesn't sit well with me.
scamp, i commented on that quite a while ago. she was a prosecutor and put some really bad folks away who may get out after a while. i would be TERRIFIED to show pics of my kids on the television. there is NO WAY i would risk putting their photo out there.
i know a guy who used to be a criminal defense attorney. sometimes he lost. he said that he always got notification of a former client's release so he could take proper precautions in case they came after him for losing their case.
call me paranoid, but i don't believe you can do too much to protect your family, kwim?

The Cindy one doesnt work and her lunch date is not on wftv. But thanks
my dear swab- dontcha remember- they did have shovels, however, they had to be locked up in the shed- due to the gas can thief on the loose in the neighborhood, and they never bothered to give Casey a key.
They started locking things up (so they said) when Caylee was able to be more mobile and started getting into things, they didn't want her to get into any yard poisons and such.
Always the prudent thinking grandparents- trying to prevent accidents.
wow
They lock the shed to prevent gas can theft, but take no steps to prevent a thief from using their credit cards and racking up thousands in debt. Weird.

not only that, they don't take steps to see where their precious grandchild is after being missing for 31 days - only take the thief's word for it that she is ok and with the invisi-nanny.

Strange isn't it?? Specially since they knew she was using the CC and also stealing from Caylee's piggy bank. Though didn't Cindy tell Greta that they kept the sheds locked for Caylee's saftey?

It sure looks like casey likes girls as much as she liked boys. george said casey did not drink he need to look at her pictures and see if he thinks she drinks or not.ha, casey had CAYLEE around cig.smoke all the time and I am sure when she got back to cindy;s house that they could smell the cig.smoke. They need to shut up about the cig smoke. george thru the toys aways because they smelled like cig smoke that was not the reason he threw them away he knew CAYLEE was never coming home.I will never forget him doing that it was awful. I would have keep anything anyone had sent to my gc. I guess they or such big shots now with all the money they or making of of CAYLEE they don;t need help from anyone. oh yes they do need the money just not toys or stuff like that. I would bet they both smoked at one time because of all the gum chewing. Just can;t wait until the trial starts and c and g or put on the stand and lee too. I hope they all get took down so bad. jmho

I haven't had time to listen to all the recordings yet (only Tracy's), but if someone could give me a brief synopsis on Rob and Tracey and the "iggy" feature, I would be ever so grateful. Sounds fun!

well darn- I think maybe if you log off, clear your temp. cookies and then try again at that site? not sure why you're having that problem- as I just clicked on that link a few minutes ago- (it was slow to transfer the data), but now I've got the crazy woman on my temp folder now & it was starting to play.
(But I don't have time to listen to her, got grub I need to start preparing for our family get together later on.)

hey, martha. ITA with you about former cigarette smokers (wish i could say i was one of them)
the other thing about the constant gum-chewing that strikes me is, from what i've read, people get dry-mouth when lying. perhaps that is why there is always "cud" in their mouths - to keep their tongue from drying out.

The only tapes I could listen to was LP and Tracy.
I just can't get into Cindy or Robs no matter what directions I follow. That stinks but I'm sure someone will come along and share a little.

How tacky they both are by chewing gum on national television, in front of the media and George up on the witness stand. Geesh. If I was the judge I would request that he loose the gum, (Both of them) in his courtroom. It drives me up a wall.
Both of the Anthony's are low class and they don't have a clue how to behave based on where they are.
By the way, does the Anthony's still have that car Casey was driving around or does LE have it in evidence. I hope they bagged it and tagged it so they can have the jury look at it and smell the decomp. That never goes away if you leave it alone.

I had this same concern myself. They can be kidnapped very quickly.

i'm almost positive it was taken into evidence.
as for the gum-chewing in court, i think (i don't REMEMBER this, though) that someone posted a "courtroom ethics" guide before.
i really really REALLy think that the gumchewing is to try to hide the fact that EVERYTHING that comes out of their mouths is a LIE.
i would like to have a statement taken from them ONE TIME without the gumchewing and water-drinking, so we can hear how their tongues stick to the roofs of their mouths. WHERE IS THAT VOICE STRESS ANALYZER?

The idea of using a shovel in a pool is ridiculous because it would tear the lining in the pool.
NOONE would use a shovel in a pool.
She used the shovel to try to bury Caylee.

The car will remain in evidence until after the trial...But I wouldn't put it past the Anthony's to want it back....they would probably auction it off to the highest bidder....

I think the only purpose the shovel served was to change this from a missing child to a murdered child. I think bb's testimony of backing into the driveway is more important. JMO
