Oh.My. This confirms that Speaker Pelosi wasn't exactly waltzing with the truth when she claimed to have been mislead by the CIA.

By early 2003 it had created guidelines on detention and interrogation and required "individuals engaged in or supporting interrogations be made aware of the guidelines and sign an acknowledgment that they have read them." The guidelines also made "formal the existing . . . practice of requiring the field to obtain specific Headquarters approvals prior to the application of all EITs." This was hardly a rogue CIA.Congress also knew about it. The IG report belies House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's claims that she wasn't told about all this.


Wow, I wonder if anyone in Congress had to sign such and if it will be revealed.

The rest of the article which does speak the tactics for interrogations-- most are benign IMO.

And they found terrorists who were going to set off "dirty bombs" and blow up buildings, loosen train spikes, Blow up Heathrow airport the list goes on and on...
