LOL! My old BFF used to call me Hope Stedman. She thought I so closely resembled that character in appearance and lifestyle. Don't know if that was good or bad. Of course I used to enjoy it since I was one of the major "stars".

(I loved St. Elsewhere, also.)

Well she was pretty in a simple classic way, so maybe you are too.

I remember the episode that ended with the new computer in the house, and the way 3 people dealt with it. I can't remember the characters now, but the mother of the house was tentative and didn't know what to do to start, then the working woman friend (Melanie Mayrun?) said "you just have to play with it", and started looking at the DOS registers and so forth. Then, the episode ended with the little boy in the family getting in front of the computer and immediately playing video games, war IIRC.

I loved the program, it's all floating around on the internet so I think I'll watch it again. BTW, the journalist in West Wing that ended up with CJ was part of thirtysomething, Timothy Busfield IIRC.

I used to love that show! I was in my 20's and thought those characters were so mature. I was still quite unsettled so to speak. I loved Ken Olin. Thought he was a doll! I still enjoy seeing him and his real life wife, Patricia Wettig, on Brothers and Sisters.

I used to love that show. Another one I was thinking about just recently is Paper Chase with John Houseman. Another show I miss a lot.

I wonder why they don't air some of the old series from the 70's and 80's. They used to air The Brady Bunch all day long. Now I see Andy Griffith a lot.

I loved a show called Family with Christy McNicol and Meredith Baxter-Birney. Remember her? The father was the real life father of Matthew Broderick. The mother turned out to be another great actor. I can't recall her name right now. I think the show would still hold up as a great program.

Yes!!! I really, really enjoyed Family, too. I'd forgotten all about that one.
