I was trying to tell my daughter about this, but I have only the sketchiest of details. However, I know someone here will know who I'm talking about.

This rather wealthy man killed, or accidentally killed, his neighbor. He then hacked up the body and disposed of it. When he went to trial they found him not guilty of the murder. I can't remember if he was sentenced to anything in regards to disposing of the body.

This isn't a very old crime. Can you name him for me? Please, it is driving me crazy. :huh:

Yes, his wife "disappeared" almost 20 years ago and his "best friend" was murdered also.
