This one must have slipped through the cracks.I wasn't aware of it.

I assume the wife has been cleared and the police think it was someone from a case he was working on or had worked on...

I wonder what it was...

I reemember this but only vaguely. There was so much excitement over the Democratic National Convention in Denver at the time. It sure sounds like a hit doesn't it? Dale Hynman said of a similar murder in one of her shows (Body of Evidence) that they call that a double-tap and that law enforcement are trained to shoot to kill in that manner. One crime she was investigating at the time was a double tap in the victim's back like this murder, too. I wonder, was this a hit by someone trained to shoot like that too?

How very very sad. I'm so sorry for this family. What a horrible shock and dreadful loss.

Tim Russert died suddenly of a heart attack in June and the Democratic Convention was in August. A lot of news then, so no wonder people missed this case. Thanks to the OP for reminding us. Hope they solve this soon.

Poor wife was pregnant with their first child. SO sad. I imagine a quick and dirty shoot and run crime like that is hard to solve. We can just hope that someone knows something and will come forward.

I've heard law enforcement investigators say on crime shows on tv, that these random murders are the most difficult to solve. Let's hope for a resolution to this one soon. The family at least deserves to have this evil doer brought to justice.

wow...nothing really notable at all in this description.

A $125,000 reward remains for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Sean May's killer. In the moments after the shooting, a witness saw a man running from the area. He was described as a white or Latino man in his late teens or early 20s who stood about 5 foot 11 and had a medium build. The man had medium length dark hair and a dark- color mustache and goatee, and was wearing a black baseball cap turned backward, a white T-shirt, and khaki-colored knee-length cargo-style pants.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.

Is there any chance that this was a robbery gone wrong? Or a possible kidnapping? It sounds like a professional hit, but you never know. Either way, it's very sad and my heart goes out to his widow and son, family, and friends. Sounds like he was a great guy.
