Air America caller, "what if the town hall protesters are correct?" Also say we've been "Cheneyed" by BO. This radio broadcast is in re the HC bill specifically the prescription drugs.

Sorry, it was edited, and then poster put in own views. I'd like to hear it from beginning to end. I did see Palast interviewed on another show this week: and the savings is over 10 years and reduction is like 20%.
Nice try.

As devious and hypocritical as this is, it doesn't surprise me in the least. This is SOP for BO and his Chicago-style politics. I just wish everyone this regime tries to strong-arm would publicly expose them and their dastardly, corrupt deeds.
If you want to know what BO is up to, or what he's actually done, just envision him doing exactly the opposite of what he's saying and what he accuses others of doing.

That's a good way of looking at it, plus look at the polls to see his constantly changing "values". It always reminds me of how you have to deal with a narcissist. One must always frame and understand everything in relation to what is in it for them.
I wholeheartedly believe BO is a narcissist, and as such cannot take criticism or admit failure. I honestly don't think he has "values", but will feign them to win the necessary support to achieve his goals. In this pursuit, he is a rhetorical chameleon.

Very astute observation.
Quite possibly future generations of Mental Health Professionals will be diagnosing some patients as being Clinically Barackotic.
It wouldn't surprise because BO is an enigmatic phenomenon of historic proportions. He managed to "fool" the voting majority, despite having actually told them the ways and means he would employ to "fundamentally change" America if elected. (From redistributing our wealth to our electricity costs skyrocketing and everything else in between).
Are we a nation of Stepford Wives, or are we merely in a state of hypnotic Barackotic?
I read a fairly good number of comments on the NYT piece and what I noticed was the lack of comment regarding the fact the President has made a "backroom" (Bob Hebert's word) deal with Big Pharma, which does absolutely nothing to bring down spiraling drug costs.
He isn't the first one to point this out, nor is he the only Democrat to do so. Why aren't we seeing much about this?
There is so much publicity about the "evil" insurance companies. There used to be a lot of complaints by Democrats about big-profit pharmaceuticals who were contributing to high cost of health care.
Is the fact this administration has managed to get Big Pharma on "their" side, thanks to the sweet deal, suddenly made these same Dems go dumb?
I can just imagine the outcry had Big Pharma decided to align with those fighting health care reform.
Hypocrites...all of them.
