Canada Deals with Michigan Hospitals for Health Care

Hospitals in border cities, including Detroit, are forging lucrative arrangements with Canadian health agencies to provide care not widely available across the border. Agreements between Detroit hospitals and the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care for heart, imaging tests, bariatric and other services provide access to some services not immediately available in the province, said ministry spokesman David Jensen.

So because the “great” system in Canada is failing to provide enough care they have contracted with American hospitals to get care. A reminder, Canada only has a population of 33 million (about the same number is claimed to be uninsured in the US by many) so the US has 300 million and we know that we will have the right number of doctors to assure that there isn’t any “rationed care”? The US already waits because we do not have enough providers.

What is questionable is, that we, because of above contracts with Canada may have to wait behind people from another country for health care in Michigan because they have to get it here as they simply do not have enough doctors to cover their own citizens…

So a Canadian may or could end up with health care before American’s in the US because our doctors were contracted to provide for them, or are Canadian's going to have to wait even longer for their care—what happens if our system is overtaxed and that same Canadian needs heart care in Michigan and we can’t help because we are waiting here? .. Amazing simply amazing..
