Justice for Caylee.

The defense team sure was intimidated by Tim Miller's pc yesterday, where he showed photos and video from the actual searching proving the remains area was under water.
The defense today is attempting to counter that devastating information, with lies about what "evidence" they have. IMO, when this finally gets to trial, we will see no credible "evidence" that the remains were placed at the site when the OC was in jail.
Where is the defense getting all of this money to continue to represent Casey? She was broke, stealing from anyone and everyone around her, always out of gas with no money to buy gas---- yet she has a slew of lawyers backing this? Is George and Cindy paying them with all of the money they are making off of Caylee? I just don't get it.
Serenity, I remember the cooler. It was in the back of Georges car when he went off to "look" for Caylee a few days after this case started. I had a bad feeling at the time about it. And posted such, I wonder now if George was looking for Caylee, remember we saw him that one time staring off into some woods.
If any of them would have found her she would have been moved IMO. Possibly in the cooler.

I remembered a report about George being seen looking at some woods, but I did not realize it was 2 weeks before Dominic Casey searched the woods by the Anthony's.
For this group to repeatedly say the believe Caylee was alive, they sure did spend a lot of times in or near the woods.

I wanted to say that LDB handled cross examination of George today, very, very well. It was blazingly obvious that George was attempting to only give answers that would support or help the defense. It was not George's intentions to be truthful, or to tell the whole truth. (perhaps LDB learned a bit about how to handle George during the George's deposition earlier this month).
I do think that SS was a bit taken back when Baez called George to testify in this motion. I've read that motion, and it seems like Baez's was trying to convince the court that LP and his crew were "agents" due to some oral agreement that he had with them. ....yet Baez failed to even address this with any testimony or facts today. I think that it even stunned LDB a bit, that Baez offered up nothing of fact in regards to the "oral agreement" that he says that he had. What was George's testimony suppose to offer in regards to this motion? What am I missing?
Quick question... What cooler are ya'll talking about? tia

George is for sure. He was called by the GJ. I don't know about Cindy. She would definetly be a hostile wittness.
i think they will because the prosecution took both their depos. i don't understand why they would do that if they didn't intend to call them as witnesses. plus, weren't they both on the prosecution's witness list? and they would both be considered hostile witnesses.
i wonder if cindy will quote scripture at some point, seeing as how she's been rebaptized. or perhaps, she'll tell the prosecution they aren't doing their jobs right because she has been studying the law like her daughter.
maybe that's why kc looked so bad - al told her to read the statute dealing with murder of a young child and the possible sentences it could carry.
i'm going to go out on a limb here and say that oral agreement isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

The reporter asks about Casey's acquaintances stating Casey is a habitual liar and she showed no emotion per LE's arrest reports. George responds with what a fantastic mother Casey is, how nurturing Casey is......
I didn't pick up on how he avoided answering questions way back in the beginning. He did say Casey was going to have to deal with what has happened to this point. He praised OCSO for their hard work.
jmo
George's pleas yesterday, that he only wanted to find out the truth, sure ring false. Especially when listening to the testimony that he provided today. In part, George is one of the reasons why the truth is not being told. JMO

Yes it has been posted and what a lying wench she is. I never saw any eye contact between Casey and Cindy what so ever. And Casey wasn't facing her long enough when she turned to go with the Sheriff to have mouthed anything to her. That B Cindy would lie and George would swear to it. Oh the happy couple they are. :cursing:
I thought it looked like all of her attorney's were trying to block her from seeing her parents anyway. No I did not see any eye contact between them.

My observations are that Casey looked like she had lost weight.
She had a full set of samsonite bags under her eyes.
Her clothes, as usual, were ghastly.
Her hair was oily and not done nicely AT all in some kind of weird part pony.
Gone was the smiling, the joking, the hand rubbing, the playful games with JB, the tugging at the clothes, the hair...
Also when watching a clip I noticed in the opening where her shirt is, some kind of red mark, like a sore..did anyone else see that?
Her appearance today is in STARK contrast to her other appearances where she smiled and was distantly detached from what was happening.
I don't buy into the tears though, THAT is too much of a stretch, imo.

My interview went well today, another one next week to seal the deal, and my fingers are crossed that I got the job today.

Casey Anthony: WFTV asks if defense is holding it together
http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/entertainment_tv_tvblog/2009/08/casey-anthony-wftv-asks-if-defense-is-holding-it-together.html
"Last-minute motions, incorrect motions, lack of motions -- it's not the kind of work we were told to expect from Professor Andrea Lyon, as the defense likes to call her," WFTV's Kathi Belich said.
Belich listed the mistakes: In seeking Texas EquuSearch records, defense lawyer Lyon had a last-minute motion with the wrong case number. Lyon hadn't filed the proper paper work to join the Anthony check fraud case. And the defense team failed to alert the media that it wants to keep public records secret.
"There were several missteps," WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer said. And he added that Lyon had been touted as an expert and "a lawyer's lawyer."

True, she does have the prison pallor. No glow there!
It can't be healthy to not have sunshine, I would think.
It wasn't normal how she seemed to enjoy her room and always be quite happy about her situation, now we are seeing what, to me, is more of a normal persons reaction to being in jail.
It must drive her NUTS to be locked away, while everyone is having fun, and her MOM is tanning and shopping for new dresses.
BTW, psssst..Cindy- nice dress but you need support gf.

I don't think I will ever get everything read and disgusted. But I have told everyone, they are on their own this week end, I will be busy all week end.:)
I did get to see George's demonstration of how to correctly let people know you have recently been baptised and all the very sincere things this evokes...he did a good job of that.
I have nothing but contempt for Cindy so am just skimming over her except to notice she is becoming more angry every time I see her. Guess, the reports of her being newly baptised is one of those many rumors that JB keeps referring to.
Hope everyone had a wonderful day.

Casey Anthony: WFTV analyst says defense's strategy defies logic
http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/entertainment_tv_tvblog/2009/08/casey-anthony-wftv-analyst-says-defenses-strategy-defies-logic.html
WESH-Channel 2 focused on whether testimony from bounty hunter Leonard Padilla's employees would be heard at trial. Defense attorney "Jose Baez said Casey did not confess to anyone," WESH's Bob Kealing said. "But at the same time, he's trying awfully hard to quash testimony from the woman, Padilla's employee, who spent 10 days close by Casey's side last summer."................
WOFL succinctly recapped the issues. Anthony's team got access to her former boyfriend Anthony Lazzaro's phone records. But Judge Stan Strickland made no rulings on whether testimony from Padilla's team will be blocked, on whether Casey's check fraud will be delayed and on whether Tim Miller of Texas EquuSearch will be designated a material witness.

It amazes me that this hearing was set earlier this month. Yet it seems like no one was prepared. The defense didn't even notice the media in regards to their motion in regards to LP and his crew (major error, or another delaying tactic to keep those interviews out of the public) Or maybe this positioning is just normal for attorneys.
What it does do, is create further delay. SS must now review all the last minute items offered up to the court. It could be a long while before we hear his rulings on everything from today.

I don't know about that Sun....I heard the SA questioning GA...:) she sounded very well prepared, ready and willing.

Then after he reviewed the info, he would make some kind of order giving the defense some of what it was asking for. Judge Strickland then added that he could hear TES' attorney Mark NeJame (who had long since left the hearing to attend his daughter's first day at school) screaming in the distance.

Oh wow, anyone watching JVM? Jayne Weintraub just said that it was Anthony Lazarro who looked up chloroform on casey's computer and stood JVM down when she attempted to correct her.
This is outrageous, that this despicable defense team is trying to pin this murder on these innocent people around that monster.

So true! If they have this compelling evidence that absolutely proves Casey's innocence, then by all means run to LE now and show it to them so that Casey can be released STAT! If they truly have evidence of this nature, then it makes no sense to me that they keep delaying the trial.
They've got nothing. They are grasping at straws. The best quote I heard today was from a legal analyst for one of the news stations in Orlando. He was commenting on the defense trying to say that Caylee's body was placed there after Casey was already in jail, so there was no possible way she could have committed this crime. The legal analyst went on to say something to the effect that not only does that argument not raise any reasonable doubt, it defies logic as well.
I think the defense team is making themselves look like absolute fools going to such extremes to try to get Casey off. They all know she did it and it totally and completely repulses and infuriates me when they say in their press conferences that she is completely innocent of all the charges against her.

I wonder if most of them aren't working pro bono now? The publicity this case is generating is priceless and at least one of the attorneys on Casey's dream team has a book coming out very soon.:sneaky: I think in January. After this case is over they will all be known as high profile attorneys and they will be TH's on the talk show circuit, write books, give speeches, get other high profile clients....

I think the first search in the area was scheduled just after it finally stopped raining. But when they got close to the area around the school, they decided it was to wet there and that one was called off.
The second search party (I don't remember the date, but I am sure either Sun or desmom has the links in their portfolio) was looking at places to search that were not searched the first time. This area was also considered because of the phone pings, but it was decided not to search there. I am not for sure if it was because of the water then or not. I know the marshy areas was still rather wet, but not for sure if this area was then or not. I want to say this was the end of October, first of November?

totally o/t, but if you can pick up a copy of vince bugliosi's book "outrage", it's worth the read. he goes into quite a bit of detail abou the "dream team" and their successes prior to being retained by simpson. if you were a "simpson is innocent" person (and i'm not saying it's not your right to believe that) you may find it interesting......
Not a "simpson is innocent" person....
All of Casey "dream team" was associated with that "dream team" in some capacity. That's why I asked.

TP is kinda sorta trashing LP in the backwards kind of way, the papers delivered to the court room today were not the papers he (TP) signed, and he thinks George and Cindy are great people and continues to have contact with them.
Yes, it is a bit interesting to hear from TP. When you are in the business like TP is, your prospective of people can develop a bit differently. TP makes his money off criminals, or alledged criminals I should say.

i think the only people on the simpson dream team who are also on kc's dramamine team are henry lee (do we have confirmation that he WILL testify?) and baden (do we have confirmation he will testify as well?)
baden's wife and, of course, baez and andrea lyon were nowhere near simpson.

For some reason, the defense had Casey "dressed down" today. No or little makeup and a really bad hair day. I'm guessing that with Lyon in charge, she is making changes to try to get some sympathy for Casey.
I'm guessing AL doesn't care what she looks like and didn't bring her any makeup like LKB probably did. I don't see the "jail pallor" and dirty hair look as something to get sympathy. MOO

i must say that she doesn't strike me as "in it only for the money" so to speak. i can't say why - perhaps because she doesn't stand on her soapbox after every hearing, trumpeting to the crowd that her client is innocent, could not have committed this horrid crime, etc. she appears to be working quietly behind the scenes - i think that is why the a's have curtailed their public outbursts (except for the past few days, of course) and kc's changed demeanor in the courtroom today.
i can respect someone who believes against the death penalty, even though i do believe in it. to me, this case CRIES OUT for the death penalty. that said, i think she is truly trying her best to save kc - goodness knows baez doesn't have kc's best interests at heart.

can you imagine that? the judge gets ready to issue a really important ruling and "bing", there goes the blouse button, flying across the room, hitting the court reporter in the face. she is SO startled, she can't type anymore. judge strickland is startled, all the attorneys gasp, george and cindy cower and cover their heads, the spectators in the courtroom look around totally bewildered and the security guards draw their weapons in anticipation of an attack on everyone in the courtroom - and kc says "oops - mom i TOLD you to get me a bigger blouse!".

I also thinks she has Casey's best interest at heat, and I don't fault her for that, that is her job.
I think she is by far the best thing that the dream team has going. But I also think she is in it for what she can get out of it.
I am sure that is the idea behind the pro bono...but i would not hire "one of these" hire $ attorneys........from what little i know from watching ctv, they are full of hot air....lots of words, not a lick of logic behind them. This is just my opinion.

But AL explained all of that....she said since this is a DP case, and that is why she is getting paid the big bucks, they have to conduct their own investigation into the case. If Casey were to tell the truth there would be no need for them to do their own investigation, and she would not be getting paid the big bucks. Now do you understand:)
