Baez is saying that LP and crew provided "legal services?" Sure would like to see his contract for that one. And, payment for those services.

SS isn't buying it. Baez wants the court to believe that LP and his crew were his "agents" ....but only talks about it and have really provided evidence to the contrary. SS points this out to Baez, but reading that statement from the Privacy agreement. ....Good one SS!

Prosecution pointed out these alleged forgery occured between July 8 - July 15 and some of the witnesses with the murder trial may overlap on the forgery trial. He stated they are ready to go with approximately 15 witnesses.

Re: Defense argues they could not get a jury. Prosecution said they could waive a jury trial.

She is pointing out all the time it takes to prepare for a death penalty trial.

They are not saying this case should not go to trial, they are saying it should not go to trial before the murder trial.

Lyon is still arguing about all the time it will take to prepare this death penalty murder trial while arguing why the forgery trial should be delayed.

The prosecution pointed out the forgery trial would be focused on the July 8 - July 15, 2008 time frame. They also pointed out all the additional cases JB has taken on and Lyon's teaching schedule.

If they have time to take on additional cases and still work other jobs, why do they not have time to prepare for this case?

I really believe that large defense attorney's job is to stand in front of Casey so she can't have contact with them. I've seen him do it over and over again.

Hey summer- IMO it's some from of untreated ADDHD thing going on.

I keep asking myself if Amy's rights should trump Caylee's rights. Which trial is most important? Then I look at the fact the Casey has infact paid off the damages to the bank.... seems so much like either an admission of guilt, or a way to try to work the judicial system. I don't like that picture of Casey pleading Not Guilty, yet paying off the damages and then saying that she doesn't want to go to trial on those charges. This conflicting behavior by Casey should not reward her into getting her way. If she's guilty she should change her plea, and if she is still proclaiming that she's not guilty then she should not have paid off the damages.

SS will have to weigh the laws, and just rule accordingly, I suppose. I don't want the State to have to wait, if they are ready to proceed. A day is what they predict it will take, plus maybe the time to pick a jury. ....seems to me that SS should take into consideration that a trial for the murder case may be extended out for several years. Way too much whining from the defense about all the work that they have to do. No way will this trial happen in 2010. ...sad to say.

I did notice a heightening level of security in the courtroom today. When George and Cindy entered the courtroom and sat down in the front row, the baliff went over and asked them to move back to the second row. That first row in the public seating area behind Casey was left empty.

Yes that's what I believe is going to happen.

They don't have to get off their lazy A$$ and find jobs because of lucrative agreements like that.


I'm disappointed today in one way because we thought George (and/or Cindy) wouldn't get away with their abusive behavior in Judge Strickland's court. George did get away with it.

He also is wearing his Caylee button and Cindy is chewing like ...well you know.

hey bchand- I did get a glimpse of George back there after his time on the stand & he had some *chaw* in his mouth too!

I agree, he seemed to be given a little leeway there with his being rude & talking over the atty- however, when it comes to the trial, I think he will be cut off at the pass when he starts that. Actually- I'm going to predict this early- he and possibly Cindy will be escorted out of the courtroom in handcuffs.

I truly believe these people have no containment on their anger and rage in that regard. Despite getting their re-baptism.

They also aren't getting it that Casey wants nothing to do with them anymore- imo she's buried them in her mind just like she did Caylee.

Off topic somewhat: Saw a trial the other day can't remember who but a woman accused of killing her husband. Defense attorney said it cost $450.00 to make his client look old and gentle by a makeup artist.
