Movie Recommendation: Hard Candy 2005 R

Folks,

Here is one of the best movies that I have ever seen. You may find it in the Horror section
of your video store, but I find that classification incorrect. I belive this movie should been in the Drama section. It very well might be there, but at the store that I rent from they had it in the Horror section.

This movie, while it is several years old may have gone under the radar. If this is the case,
that would be really too bad. The movie stars Ellen Page and David Slade. This is one of the very few movies that I could watch frequently.

I am suggesting/inviting every normal person on this IN SESSION web site to take the time to watch this movie. The perverts, child molesters, pedifiles and similar "people" may find this movie disturbing.

BTW, the ending of this movie is the BEST ending of ANY movie that I have ever seen.

This movie is on Youtube. The quality isn't the greatest, though. Ellen Page's performance was extraordinary, and she was only 17 at time!

I saw the movie recently upon a recommendation here under the old movie thread. I really liked it! The acting is wonderful. The movie evokes strong feelings and questions in the viewers mind. You will have to see it to understand. It is an emotional roller coaster.

I would also recommend watching the Special Features section on the DVD. It has interviews with the writer/director and the cast. (Deleted scenes too.) The info they give of behind the scenes details is great, such as how fast they filmed that movie and how they filmed. I didn't realize it but those independent movies are filmed in just a few weeks.

Leave it to me to rock the boat but I wasn't crazy about this movie.

I rented it last night after reading this thread and seeing that Ellen was in it (I'm a fan)

IMO, yes the ending was satisfying and her performance was very good, but the story had ZERO depth.

The 2 hours could have been condensed to 45 minutes.
