On her MSNBC show last night, the left-wing Air America host Rachel Maddow took a swipe at the conservative Shirley & Banister Public Affairs firm, specifically President and CEO Craig Shirley. Maddow accused Shirley of being behind a grassroots Web site funded by the group Grassfire.org, based on a research provided by the “independent watchdog group Public Citizen,” and she showed still images from an incendiary “Obama=Hitler” video that’s posted on the Grassfire’s ResistNet.com Web site.
But Maddow was wrong.
This is her idea of " a smart look at politics"?

From listening to them I don't think liberals care what they say. Obama is a good example. Here's the short laundry list of his shall we call them inconsistencies.

Did any of you see Sheila Jackson Lee's staged psudo-doctor in her audience who made an "inconsistency" by stating she was a doctor who supported Obama healthcare? She was an Obama delegate.

So her info was correct, but old? And led to threats? Not her fault anymore than the guy who shot the Dr. when Fox gave out inaccurate info.
Hey it's cable. Opinion. It goes both ways nowdays. Sad but true. IMHO

So your thought is basically forget about the thugs issuing death threats because Fox news reported something wrong at some point and someone was hurt or killed? I have no idea what you're speaking of, and it really does not matter, as one should NOT excuse another as you seem to do for these thugs threatening to kill people over a false report--- because it seems as if you are condoning tit for tat like situations.
Again the excuses and ignoring of this sort of thing is what allows it to grow until someone is killed or hurt-- be it dem or repub or purple or pink. Truly despicable, tit for tat ideology IMO.

The article said the lady was "threatened" after the Maddow report. A Doctor was killed due to reports by Bill ORiley and others on Fox.
I don't know how to calm down the crazies that listen to TV on either side.
I sometimes wish there was no cable TV, then maybe, folks would take care of their own communities and state issues.
People don't even have the right to peacefully assemble anymore, from what I've seen on the tube in some places. But a 1,000 showed up in my town yesterday and it was civil and no shouting. Big turn out for Rep. Peter DeFazio. Usually 50-75 show up.

And? Just because it happened before DOES NOT mean it should ever happen again IMO. To excuse such allowed the crazies to believe it is okay.
Peaceful assembly stopped in the sixties, it has happened all the way up to Obama to include Bush, it is not new. But don't you think that with all the death threats that Bush got and the threats Laura got ( sexual assault ) which were largely ignored by the left-- led people to believe that this was okay IMO--- so now that it is happening to Obama -- it has become “ no big deal” because it was ignored for so long when happening to Bush and his family.
I mean really, look at what was asked of Sandra Bernhard fans (to gang rape Palin) I did not hear the left outraged at that, nor did I hear them when Madonna wanted to beat her up Both things were said in public venues at concerts of theirs. Keith olbermann wanted Hilliary Clinton taken into a backroom never too emerge.
Now when all the loons come about I see it excused because it either happened before a you post and it seems to be no big deal because Fox did the same thing.
We can either take a stand against these threats against someone life—ALL Life or we can pick and choose sides as I see happening and have people believe since it was excused XXX time it will be when I do it too.

so she was partly wrong, they have funded the group, they just haven't given them anymore money sense 2004 is that right?

I think she is great too
and as for this "mistake", it wasn't like they had never funded this group, just not recently according to that article the op posted

she hasn't gone to court for the right to lie like some news channels, she tell the truth as she sees it, and in this case she was not really wrong to say they funded this group, as they did in the past, just not recently according to the article

I think she should go on air and say she got a email from them saying even they say they haven't supported this group sense 2004, obviously they do not want to be associated with them anymore
No, she isn't "partly" wrong, she's just wrong. The folks she accused have nothing to do with that the organization is currently doing, as she implied.
Now, if you want to use the logic that because they once upon a time funded them, then I guess it would be fair to say that President Obama funds drugs dealers since he once upon a time used cocaine and pot. Right? WOW, BOW - thats funny.
