Thanks for that link, DG - much appreciated.

I noticed this part, in particular -

Previous Gallup research has shown that the overall percentage of adult Americans without health insurance has edged upward over the last year and a half to 16.0% in June 2009 from 14.8% in January 2008.

There is a link inside your page that goes to how the 16.0% figure was reached.

About One in Six U.S. Adults Are Without Health Insurance

Lots of interesting info there regarding how this information is collected.

Not really....when you engineer expanded entitlements and create the need for those engineered entitlements by engineering continued job losses.....it appears to be working just as intended.

IMO

I think that depends on how you feel about socialized medicine. According to the news reports of late, there are a huge number of citizens who are OPPOSED to healthcare plans run by the government.

If you are opposed to healthcare run by the government, I doubt you would be happy to know how much government-run healthcare exists already. I expect at any moment that the protesters at the townhall meetings will be demanding that their elected representives completely dismantle Medicare (among other programs).

My translation when rw'rs say Entitlements. It means, average jane and john does, who need help are not real Americans....they are lazy no-good people looking for a hand-out. Disgusting in my opinion.
