Paris is my grand dog. She has had diarrhea for the past month and has started vomiting. My son has spent all of his money taking her to the vet. She is a 4YO E. bulldog.
Xray and blood work show that she is losing protein in her blood. (If I understand it right.)
The vet wants her taken to Phoenix to be "scoped" but none of us are able to afford that.
Prayers are in order. Thank you.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Paris is definitely in my prayers.
Could the vet work out a payment plan?

Adding my prayers for Paris.
I get so upset when an animal needs help and a vet can't/won't help due to money issues. I wish they'd just go ahead and do whatever needs to be done and worry about getting paid later. I know it's a business and procedures can be expensive, and I'm being simplistic, but how can a person deny treatment to a sick animal?
Years ago, I had eight puppies who needed their first shots. I had taken out cash for this the night before their appointment (all I had). That morning, I got the puppies ready for their trip to the vet only to find that the money had been stolen (ex husband had broken in while I was sleeping). I called the vet's office crying to cancel the appt, and the receptionist told me to bring them in anyway. It was her Christmas present to us.
I so wish something like this would happen for Paris.

Adding Paris to my prayer list. Your son needs to find another vet. I have never had a vet that would not work out a payment plan with me for a sick animal.

Adding my prayers for Paris.
I suggest calling anyone in the area who breeds or owns Bulldogs and finding out who they go to. They're a strange and wonderful breed and it helps to have a Vet who knows them.

They found a local vet on Friday, who was very helpful. The new doc even drove to the other vet's office to get the straight information.
The new doctor suspects pancreatitis. He even redid an x-ray for free because he wasn't happy with the one from the other office.
He prescribed a cortisone med.
The dog that was not expected to live through the weekend, on Thursday, became stable under the direction on the new vet. He even called to check on the dog on Sat.
Improvement is slow, but they feel like they are getting some help, now.
A relative came forward to pay the vet bills.
Thank you for your continued prayers.

That's great news! I'm glad they found a new Vet, this one sounds much better.
