“And guess what this liberal will be all about? This liberal will be all about socializing, uh, uh… would be about basically about taking over the government running all of your companies.”

She is kind of refreshing. Finally an honest Democrat describing what their whole philosophy is.

I did't think any Democrat would ever be this honest. How refreshing!

:w00t: is right. No freudian slip there. This is what they are all about, they just usually are much more slick at hiding it.

I tend to think that the liberals talk that way amongst themselves all the time (or worse) and Waters just forgot where she was for a moment. Ooopsy. Like we didn't already know. The funny part is that they think they might be fooling people.

IMO

I think Maxine Waters is a role model for those in America with limited ability, intelligence or experience who nonetheless manage to rise for one reason or another to high-paying and/or responsible positions.

Kinda like Obama on the experience part!

Many of these people are examples of the Peter Principle.

I do believe her true agenda was spoken by her. However, rather than refreshing, I find it extremely disturbing.

It would have been refreshing to hear the truth, but you can see by her actions and the length of time it took to recover, she didn't intend for the truth to slip out. Just look at the people sitting next to her. Watch the expressions on their faces.

The entire House probably had the same look.

I'm thinking that many of those who have been appointed in this administration might also demonstrate the salutary science of Hierarchiology from the same souce.

The only time I recall listening to Maxine was during the hearings a few years back regarding an investigation into Fannie and Freddie practices. She was fierce and told those Republicans off for trying to impose more regulations on the banks practices. Yup, we know what she's about.

The only way people would ever embrace socialism is if we all became so desperate and disspirited that there was no other choice. I think they are working on that now.

Unfortunately there are some who don't realize they are going to be in the desperate and disspirited crowd too when they finally realize the land of free milk and honey does not exist. MO

Sure it does. It's chock full of nutricious, delicious growth hormones.

I don't know. For some, the freebies never stop. It is the poor souls who actually work and pay taxes that this is going to be an epiphany.

You can say that again!! I was like :scared: when I saw this video. The guy next to her thought it was funny based on the amused look on his face when he leaned back in his chair.

Well, I guess she didn't get the memo from BO and his staff that socialism is not what is on their agenda.

It was funny. She was wracking her mind trying to think of a word that meant the same thing as socialism and couldn't do it.

I think you meant the 'word' socialism is not on their agenda. The concept certainly seems to be. JMO

You are all aware that the video is from May 2008, right? You remember, when oil prices were through the roof....anyone remember that?

Thanks for the old video link.

Is 2008 so long ago? As though plans for our future where not in the works back then? I wonder. Seriously wonder.

Look at the video again. Very, very telling. JMO

My guess is that the year doesn't really mean very much to Maxine, even assuming that she has managed to jot down somewhere which one it is.

She has a higher calling which evidently doesn't require knowledge of such rudimentary concepts.
