This is VERY local to me and trust me... neither him nor her got a whole lot of sympathy from the general public. Especially after SHE needed medical attention during her trial and wanted to be rushed to the ER!!!

See ya.... pray there!

Are you serious? She wanted to be rushed to emergency after not allowing her daughter to get medical treatment? Talk about hypocrisy!

In these type cases, I've always contended the parents will allow their child to die, but, not themselves.

really, guess after what happened to the daughter the wised up, I don't care if people pray to help their children, but pray the doctor makes the correct diagnosis or something instead..... jmho

I am quite familiar with their religion (the father had studied to be Pentecostal preacher) and also faith healing. In general, Pentecostals do believe in seeking medical help as well as praying for healing. I think many Christian denominations believe in faith healing. I once went to a faith healing meetings conducted jointly by the local Lutheran Church (ELCA) and the Episcopal Church. These are both liberal mainstream churches. So faith healing isn't new. My first MIL believed only in faith healing not doctors, but when she got very sick, SHE went to the doctor.
