Former House Majority Leader Dick Armey (R-TX) appeared as a witness for the Republican bicameral hearing on climate change legislation yesterday on Capitol Hill. Along with a cadre of polluter CEOs and Chamber of Commerce officials, Armey played his part leveling an array of attacks on any effort to transition to a clean energy economy. As the hearing progressed, most of the witnesses spent their time recycling months-old debunked studies. But Armey distinguished himself by invoking a religious argument to back up his smears against what he called “environmental hypochondriacs” filled with “eco-evangelical hysteria.” Armey claimed that in his world view, because G-d created the heavens and the Earth, it would be “quite pretentious” for people to believe G-d would permit global warming to even occur

DG, why are your threads always mud slinging threads against the other side? Do you ever post threads on topics you support?

Just wondering...

that is the way the world works, you ever hear of a cop pulling you over to say you doing great, keep up the good driving, people discuss what needs changed more then they do what already is as it should be

But in this case, the "cop" just pulls over GOP drivers.

yep and we see many of the reverse as well, we each have our own idea's of what needs addressing and what doesn't - the right think Obama wearing 'Dad pants' is worth starting a thread and the op believes topics like this are

No surprise…he has been promoting a pollution agenda. Pollution puts money in his pockets. It seems to me he is saying...To heck with America and the world, I want more money. Oh yeah… and there really is no such thing as science, so just leave everything to g-d.... science is all bunk... there is no such thing as action and reaction, only what g-d chooses (so g-d really gives us no freedom of choice). hmmmmm

We need to move toward a clean energy economy. This seems like a no-brainer. I do not understand how anyone can think otherwise.
