From the link:
WILKINSBURG, Pa. -- Amy Kucsmas knew she would soon be a murder victim, and the 36-year-old Mt. Oliver woman made a final phone call to her daughter while her apparent killer stood nearby.

Two weeks later, on Friday morning, Kucsmas' body was found bound with electrical tape and wrapped in a carpet in a wooded area of Hunter Park in Wilkinsburg.

"Kayla got a call the night that it happened. She said that she's going to die tonight," Kucsmas' sister, Jayme, told WTAE Channel 4's Marcie Cipriani on Wednesday. "She told Kayla not to cry and that everything will be OK, and then Kayla heard some man in the background screaming. Then, she said her mom was hysterically crying. She couldn't understand what she was saying, and then the phone hung up."

Allegheny County homicide detectives used a tattoo and dental records to help identify the body. They have no suspects, but hope DNA from the tape on the carpet will lead them in the right direction.

My heart breaks for this womans family, especially her daughter. I hope they find her killer.

Thank you for the link.

I'm a little confused. She called her daughter to say good-bye while the killer was there but wasn't killed until two weeks later?

I think it says she was FOUND 2 weeks later and had to be identified with the tattoos etc.

Little more info here:

Kucsmas had a long criminal history that included drug arrests. Friends and family say she had been in rehab the past year and was cleaning up her life.

But court records show Kucsmas was arrested on June 24 for prostitution.

Police are investigating who she was with on July 11. A man spoke briefly on the phone with Kucsmas' daughter before she told her she was going to die.

OK. So Amy was a drug addict and her daughter probably was not in her custody - and she called from an unknown location.

Is that why the family didn't call LE? Because of Amy's drug problem?

imo

I read another article that said she had 3 children who are all teenagers.

I'm sure Caroline told an adult about the call. Why didn't someone call the police?

imo

This is such a STRANGE story. Why not call 911? Or give SOME indication of who the murderer is?

Reminds me of that weird Craigs list killer of a woman who wanted to be killed and so she found someone on Craigs list to do it in a sadistic ritual.

Ms. Brown said she went into the bedroom to lie on the bed. According to the affidavit, she heard the two men yelling at Ms. Kucsmas about stealing money from Mr. Brunner, and then heard them hitting and kicking her. Mr. Brunner told Ms. Kucsmas to call her daughter, which she did twice in a short period of time, the affidavit said. The men told Ms. Kucsmas to shower, and when she finished Ms. Brown said she heard a struggle and gasping, then saw Ms. Kucsmas lying dead on the bathroom floor.
