Well, in my City folks still wave and applaud the fire guys. They also give millions of dollars when the "Boot" campaign takes place and support every pay raise for the cops and fireman. We are proud of our guys and gals.

Oh lord..........don't even get me started on the way that the first responders have been treated. I have a friend that spent weeks there, and as a result has medical problems from breathing the air they were told was perfectly safe. :cursing: :cursing: :cursing:

Why was it closed? Is that all the bill says? If so, there doesn't seem to be any rational reason NOT to reopen the fund! But, if there is some pork laden amendment to it, then I concur that the bill shouldn't pass.

He is complaining about the staffers manning the phones, not the Reps. Guess they didn't want to leave a message.
Sheesh.

GOP Disses 9/11 Responders
"Disses" What kind of MSM paper really expects one to read an article with the word "Disses" in it? Is is a MSM paper or a blog? Sounds like some kid writing for a blog IMO with a title like that.

We should do everything possible to help the heros of 9/11. Too bad the repub's thinks otherwise. I think that the repub's in power have the heart of a grinch.

You really have to ask yourself, "What did this blogger hope to accomplish?"
What gets me is that someone thought the blogger worthy of a thread. Of course, this is just to try and pretend that the he speaks for all GOP. It's completely asinine. The thing is, it seems the supposed problem is one receptionist in one office, while they stated the other Repub offices were fine. But the author had to take a swipe at the whole party for no reason.
As much as I sympathize with all victims of 9/11, I also sympathize with victims I see everyday. I can't pick any one disaster or one tragedy and favor some victims over others.
IMO

So this thread was started because of a rude receptionist in one office and it has generated this bloggers ire to call everyone uncaring in one party? LMAO!!
A receptionist that may even be a Dem. LOL
