It is horrible that the police ignored the father; and the jury? What were they thinking?

What kind of woman can just shrug off her own baby girl? Thank goodness laws have changed; can you believe police would not even attempt to look for her?
Wow, it must have been easy to sell little girls back in the 60's to whoever.

I thought the same thing when I read that article. I guess we forget how things used to be. We've actually come a long way - with more to go.

I watched it on Dateline. The pain the father still suffers is just heart breaking.
I listened to the jury in disbelief; how they could not convict is beyond me. IMO, she knew her daughter was dead, she didn't care, and used the 'abuse excuse' only when it came time for trial.
