I didn't read it all. Just the start of it grabbed my heart. I'll finish the story later when I'm not distracted. Thanks for the heads-up.

You're welcome, get a tissue ready when you read this story, the courage of that young mother is stunning.
Also, the brave witness that tried to follow the suspect.

Watched this on Dateline last night and could barely stand to stick with it. So very sad - and how totally amazing that this guy wasn't stopped.
I can't believe that, with all the evidence, this creep hasn't pleaded out. Sure hope he doesn't do so. This is absolutely a DP case.
I agree. Even though it was fairly clear this young mother would be found murdered, I kept hoping throughout the show for another outcome.
I wonder what his motive was to pick her? And his cousin is a nut, what was he thinking?

I could hardly bear to watch this!! Absolutely terrible story. That poor family and she was such a lovely girl/daughter/wife/mother.

IIRC from the original thread we had here, it was reported that he had seen her at the post office earlier in the day and followed her. Since it wasn't brought out last night on Dateline, I don't know if that is true.
This case just tore at me because Denise seemed so normal, such an ordinary young wife and mother. Horrible random act that should have been prevented. I hope he gets the death penalty.

ITA. What could have motivated that horrible creature to murder her; but I still marval at the courage Denise showed, even to the point of leaving evidence in the car.

She was an exceptional young woman and I hope that the angels reached down to her quickly.
These acts directed at strangers are more difficult to understand than murdering a spouse or SO. Can't remember the lady's name but did you read the recent case where she was walking her dog in the AM and a guy abducted and murdered her because he was pi$$ed off at his girlfriend.
Supposedly it isn't a crime to not intervene in a situation, but that cousin should suffer some consequences. He could have saved Denise right there. Zero respect for the man.

Wow, I didn't hear that case, but nothing, sadly surprises me anymore.
ITA about the cousin! WTH? Bet he is going to make some kind of deal.
I have to give it up for that lady that followed and called 911...she also showed a great deal of courage.

Tracian, if you want to read about the case I mentioned, it's Deborah Marsch on the Amber Alerts and Missing thread, last post was 7/10.
