Does anyone remember the case of Valessa Robinson, the girl who helped her boyfriend stab her own mom to death? http://www.sptimes.com/News/webspecials/robinsonmurder

I watched a show about the case on 48 hrs the other night, and feel her punishment of 20 years was just not enough.

According to the 48 hr show, she even talked on the cell phone with her bf, when her mom was lying in her own blood dying. The girl must have no heart, or soul at all.

Despite what her father and family said about her, I think the girl is really evil, and should have gotten life in prison. Anyone else agree?

I absolutely agree with you. I remember the case VERY well because it happened close to where I live. It was HUGE news here in the Tampa Bay area. I didn't know the case was on 48 Hours, sadly I missed that.

Coincidentally, I ran across a re-run last night on 48 Hrs. on ID. If you want to keep an eye out, they re-run those episodes pretty often on ID.

Thanks, Roux. The last couple of days I was reading all the links about the case, so much I had forgotten, though I followed it so closely when it was happening. They say she is studying drafting and architecture in prison. Wonder how she will do when she gets out. Though I think her sentence was FAR FAR too lenient, I do think younger kids have a better chance at true rehab. It was such a very sad case....her mom was a really sweet woman. Her other daughter and her fiance suffered so much from what Vanessa did. Just heartbreaking for everyone.

I believe she was more involved than she admitted, but do agree that she may be rehabilitated and have a productive like when she gets out. Just look at heavenly creature Anne Perry! Also, the fact that her father stood by her will help her when she goes back into society.

I agree the sentence was too lenient. If she's as innocent as she claims, then why didn't she do anything at all to protect her mom,if that would have been me I would laid on top of my mom to protect her, and been stabbed to death myself.

But I think she was at worst the ringleader of the murder, or at the very least a willing accomplice in the crime. In my opinion, any person who could be so heartless as to watch their own mom being knifed to death, and participate in the murder,or just stand there and do nothing is right up there with a person who could kill their own child, and dump their body in a trash bag,in fact ,as I remember they dumped the mother's body in a garbage can.

And then she went out with her partners in crime, and maxed her mom's credit cards out? The girl must have no soul at all. That accompanied with her total lack of remorse according to the police in their interviews with her, makes me wonder if she can even really be rehabilitated.
