Prayers Please

Was informed that my BIL has been diagnosed with bone cancer. My sister hasn't been too informative except for saying that there is a spot on the lung and shoulder. The doctor did tell her that the prognosis is good.

Would appreciate any prayers.

Not good news today. The biopsy results came back today and it doesn't look good. The bone cancer that my BIL has is a very agggressive one. My BIL and sister have a appontment next week at Northwestern Hospital (Chicago) with the specialists and they should have a prognosis then.

Had to tell my mother tonight and it was the hardest thing I ever had to do, she's devistated.

If anyone would wish to keep them in their prayers I would know they would appreciated it.

I know that I'm not very liked here where I vented on another thread (I guess I'm better known around here as the "Spoiled Brat". I'm not posting here to be liked. I apologize for any mis-spellings ( know that a big deal around here).

I also apologize if I'm coming across with an attitude but at this time I'm in shock with this news, I'm just worried sick for the both of them at this moment.

I am so sorry tohear that devestating news. I can say that my SIL has agressive Breast Cancer and their new drugs all the time.

Just spoke to my sister. They're doing as best as can expected. The pathology report indicated that the cancer is advanced. Their appointment with the specialist has been moved up from the 24th to the 10th. Being optomistic, if it was really bad they would have seen him right away. The doctor will be on vacation next week. We're just keep hoping and praying, that's all we can do now.

Sister and BIL had the doctor's appointment at Northwestern. There is hope. He's been given at least 6 years if not more Will start chemo very soon, for about 8 months and will be using stem cell therapy also. He has return to work and the doctor has said that he can live his life as usual. They said that the doctor is very nice and is going to make sure that he goes into remission and will do everything that he can to control the cancer.. They are both so relieved. I balded like a baby at the news this afternoon. If you wish please continue the prayers so things will continued to go well for the both of them.

That IS great news, and no telling what they will be able to do to help treat him in the future.

First, thanks to all who have prayed for my BIL, they have helped. He saw the dr. yesterday and he starts chemo Monday for eight weeks and then will have stem cell therapy. His doctor says 10-12 years and if it comes back will use the remaining cells and do it again. Will have to take a ton of medications during this time but you do what you have to do.
