THANK YOU FallenAngel, I had no idea it was premiering already!
It does look like a lively bunch, although one woman's picture reminded me of. . . Lacey - ugh! They have a lot of non-pro cooks (diner owner, restaurant manager, etc) this time; also, a Tony and a Tenille (which will only make you laugh if you are old like me).

I can't wait for tonight! Last season was interesting - one of the best starts to the show - a good tasting, some good services - but it seemed too many of those with talent cooking couldn't work the line.

LOL, really! Between angry Joseph, loony-eyed, now-gone Melinda (who was literally licking her lips when she presented her signature dish to Gordon) and the one who made tequila pancakes and served them with tequila, I think we're in for a bumpy ride!

all of them look a little off....and the chubby guy from last season...(robert) cant think right now...(work is using up gray matter)...anyways he wasnt all that good last yr. I thought he had heart problems? he has gotten heavier and looks worse than last yr.
this should be a pretty exciting round.....I think hells kitch. catches fire the way it lookd.

Visions of grandure, he is smarter than Ramsey and is going to take over the show. Seriously, the idiot thinks he was allowed to compete and he is going to tell Ramsey how to run it---NOT.
I could not believe that Loverly was allowed to stay after she went into back room and took a 45 minute break during the service. And the other idiots on her team did not nominate her.
What a wild bunch this season.

I know, when Lovely sat down and took her break "for her health" because she was dehydrated, I thought, "uh-oh, it's the ghost of Lacey!"
What is the name of the really aggressive woman who made the risotto as her sig dish and completely dismissed Ramsey's opinion? She's already bossing people around in a kind of obnoxious way.

Oh yes, I want Ramsey to see next episode. Where Ramsey explains to the idiot, that it is not his show, and that he came on to win the prize as the best chef and this is definitely not the way to go about it. His attitude is so over the top, can't help but wonder if this is scripted.

I have a feeling that Ramsey could smack him silly with one hand tied behind his back - and I kind of hope he does. :sneaky:Yeah. I don't think Ramsey is nearly so immature as to take him up to it - not by a long ways - but if it ever happened - my money is on Ramsey.
The idiot may have been a marine - although from his lack of discipline, lack of respect for authority, inability to follow simple orders, he can't have been a very good one - but Ramsey was a near professional athlete, is huge into physical fitness, and grew up in a tough neighborhood where I think it can be taken for granted he learned how to fight.
Really though - what is with those eyes? Those pupils are huge!
People are saying that this season's scripted...well Josheph is either a great actor or just a plain MANIAC ... I think the later ... He's definately a loose cannon, I don't know if it's because of the Marines or what but that dude's freaky, his eyes have a crazy look about him ... he could be the next Freeway Sniper or UniBomber.
As for "lazy" Lovely, I think the reason she wasn't nominated the first round was because the other's are intimidated by her.
This season sure has some fruitcakes on it. :scared:

Hell's Kitchen 3 winner Rock Harper writes on Reality Wanted that he thinks former US Marine Joseph will be the next to be eliminated following his shocking and, some say, unwarranted display of rage toward Hell's Kitchen host Gordon Ramsay on the show's Tuesday premiere. Yet other than his temper and apparent lack of knowledge on how the show goes, Chef Rock pins the blame on the New York native's talent, or lack thereof.

This season sure has some fruitcakes on it. :scared:I think Lovely wasn't nominated, as so often happens, only because they've got worse people in the kitchen. Someone who fails to pull their own weight in the kitchen is not as much of a problem as someone who actually delays others. I think they saw Ms Deer in the Headlights as a big problem.
Joseph - on another forum, someone who knows him posted - said he is just that crazy, angry, out of control, and stupid, as shown. I wouldn't put it as scripted - I'd say it's all about casting. From what I see, Ramsey makes sure there are at least some competent potential chefs there - and the producers make sure there are a few nutjobs for drama.

Oh and of course we have to talk about Joseph's rant... OMG... that was hilarious... did you all see the security guys come up on both sides of him when he was in Gordon's face. Have a feeling Gordon could wipe the floor with that dude.. think the only word he knew was the B word.
Lovely and the other chick with the braids need to hit the road.. wow... Lovely drives me INSANE..
Robert.. love him to death.. but man he needs to get organized.. and show what he can do.. can't believe that one guy was his name Andy or Andrew couldn't even get the garlic bread done... lol.
Going to be a great season of Hell's Kitchen...

How bizarre! I even checked the spell-it-out "find a show" guide and there was nothing listed until Friday - and I'm in the desert, only about 60 - 70 miles from your mom!
Anyway, I just watched it on the link you provided, and thanks again. It was hilarious! I like the guy who screwed up his ankles and I like Ariel. The guy from Texas is very obnoxious and so is the woman with the bossy attitude who was telling Tenille what to do (even though Tenille needed to be told - LOL). I'm surprised that Tenille is so weak - I had her pegged at the beginning as being better than that.
I would wilt like old lettuce if I had to listen to Ramsay scream at me like he does, so it's a good thing I'm not much of a cook.

I just loved, "Watch your step" - I'm sure Joseph would love to keep his illusionary world where everyone is so concerned for his thoughts and threats - and Ramsey just doesn't even care enough about his threats and namecalling to treat him any differently as he stalks off. It was a beautiful moment.

Well, not as much drama as we thought it would be :tongueside: Mostly Robert yelling and making an azz of himself during a service.
I'm not going to say much more because I don't want to spoil too much for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

I'm thinking Robert is extremely overconfident because of being recalled to the show. His posturing in the kitchen tonight seemed to be him channeling Gordon but made him look overly arrogant and pompous. Considering he was half of the reason they lost the challenge he should have had the grace to keep a low profile and boost his teammates rather than blast them.

Lovely was this season's Lacey (although I don't think Lovely or anybody else could ever be as annoying as Lacey!). I can't stand Texas Van either, and I hope he gets the boot soon; he's just so crude and crass - as are most of the guys and a few of the women, too. Very little class in evidence - can't wait for next week!

Yeah Lacey was more annoying, but she was funnier to watch. I mean she'd come back with some whacked out retort if you challenged her laziness or her lack of skill...like when tehy lost a challenge and she stayed in bed and one of her teammates was nagging her..
"do you REALLY want to get into this right now?"
lol, she used to kill me...or when she and Jean-Philippe were mocking each other during a service, him doing her voice in a screechy twisted 'nyah nyah' way, and her in offside camera shot making her hands like a duck and snapping them open and shut
Lovely just disappears and seems to not have any kind of temper other than laid back. She actually made me miss Lacey who at least helped the men's team win a challenge on her first day after switching over.
Not saying I liked her, just that she was more interesting to watch with her whining and comments overall.

Lovely isn't as lazy, nor as whiny as Lacy. She had to go - really a weak contender without much stamina or drive - although I think Jim on the guy's team is likely a worse drag. Has one gear - slow - and cannot be pushed out of it.
I feel for Dave - and glad that an injured contender is deciding to try to stay - I respect the others - but nice to see that sometimes they can try to make it through.
Robert was never a favorite of mine, especially on his last episode last season where he was such a creepy misogynist.
Van - he's a jerk, not my type of person - but I kinda like him for the dichotomy - he sounds like a crass, uneducated, redneck type who would turn down any 'fancy' foods - then produces foi gras with minted caramel. A beer drinker with a sophisticated palate as he says - and some of that is true. A bit of education, a bit of learning to control his temper, listen rather than yell, learning to respect others - maybe he could be a great chef. Depends if he's got the courage to step outside of his persona to do it.
Fox.com has full episodes, I think all of them - well worth watching. Ramsey handled that idiot in episodes 2/3 perfectly. And I still think if it were taken outside that Ramsey would beat the idiot in a fight in in a heartbeat! Semi-pro athlete who has stayed fit, who grew up in a rough neighborhood - versus that idiot who obviously learned nothing in the Marines - no question in my mind who wins.

I used to be fond of Robert and was glad to see him back, but his constant disrespect towards women and his bullying in the kitchen, using his huge gut to "butt" people as a threat, and his nastym gleeful "the bi***es are crying now" comments have made me completely change my attitude.
Glad to see Tek go, she was a complete meltdown case on the line, but I really can't stand Suzanne. The women better pull it together fast or this is going to be no contest at all!

Not sure who I wanted to go home.. I know Tec screwed up the steaks.. but dang that Tennille or however you spell her name drives me insane.. the whole group of women are really pretty sad I don't think there really is one standout leader.
Yeah.. Robert is getting on my nerves too.. a little less bravado would be wonderful and that idiot from Texas and Andy... wow... those two..
Was kind of a boring show last night... nobody broke anything..:tonguewag: or had to go to the hospital....lol....

Good enough, next Wednesday!!!! I saw one or two of the top chef masters and they were fun, but I didn't get into it enough to really pay attention or root for any particular chef.
Wow, Mad Men, Top Chef and then Project Runway, I'm stoked! Not much of a life, I guess, but oh, well.:laugh:

Robert completely lost me in the last season when he was talking about the Vegas girls like meat, like services he got for being a guest there. I noticed - no shots of him in the fighter planes - I think he got left out of that reward, and they chose not to show it. Between his weigh and his heart problems, no way would anyone let him fly.
The girls were hopeless - interesting when normally they do the best at this point in the show. Tek was the only choice to go - she couldn't cook, couldn't listen, and couldn't do her own quality control. She's been a drag for a few services, maybe without her, they'll do a bit better. Can't wait for Jim to go too - he seemed OK - until he started cooking and talking.

I didnt like Robert last season. I dont like guys that are fat and they think there tough...Fat does not equal toughness. it just equals fat...I can say this cause I'm fat....Its fat not muscle....And I dont like the way he talks about girls. and he thinks he knows it all...if he knew it all he'd figure a way not to be fat...
I dont think he did go in the fighter plane....I'm sure he didnt. they just didnt want to embarras him like the helicopter trip to catalina...
I see next week he's rushed to the hospital again. last yr he was taken out because of a heart problem...when they brought him back this season I thought for sure he would have lost weight..he is bigger than last yr. Im sure losing weight was what the doc said to do.
Im not rooting for anyone yet. they all seem pretty enept this time around. but well see who shines later

It's the norm on this show - at the start, they all seem hopeless - but that's because the competent ones don't mess up and get on camera. I always look to whoever we are NOT seeing mentioned. I think they've got about 2 more major screwups to get rid of - then we'll have much more time to show the competent chefs.
Robert looks like he gained weight. I think Ramsey planned all along to give him a second shot - and assumed that naturally, faced with a risk to your passion, your career, and your LIFE, Robert would have been doing what the doctor asked. Faced with a heavy Robert - and that idiot who made something he serves by the gallon for his signature dish - he decided to still give Robert the shot.

I think they replay it somewhere.. depends on your cable or dish..
Will see if I can find a link for you.. it was really really good... lmbo.

I'm way behind on this board, but I love Hell's Kitchen. I missed this show and wanted to watch it but you have to be an American citizen to watch online. Can someone tell me why this is.
When they're talking about ratings in general, I'll bet they count Canadians viewers. Of course no one at Fox will answer me about this. (ABC is the same.) :sneaky:

"Masters of Disaster"
The remaining four chefs wear blindfolds for their final quick-fire challenge; the chefs use their leadership skills to cater a large event without touching the food themselves.
Love the ones that are left.. should be fun...

Seems like it... although last year I don't think he overexerted himself like he did on that bike thing like last night.. think last year he just got sick.. arm going numb, sweats.. can't remember him doing any activity that made him sick.. but remember the ambulance coming and getting him.
No way should he of been doing that bike thing last night.. and he sure doesn't look like he has lost any weight which would definately help his condition. Seems like a nice enough guy.. but... he's a heart attack waiting to happen.

You took the words right out of my mouth (what I bolded). I said that last year about him, too. Your recollection of last years' events definitely rings a bell with me, he was taken away after some chest pains, etc. I wonder what made them think (producers) that that cycle to market event was a good idea?

Robert even being on the show is ridiculous. With a diagnosed heart condition and his weight (I think he has actually gained since last year) there is no way he could ever survive a high-profile, high-stress head chef job. imo
I can't believe Sabrina almost got the boot last night, despite the nearly raw pork - she's my favorite at this point, and she's usually incredibly good and level headed.

I liked Robert OK last season - until the last episode when he was a total pig to the girls in Vegas. This season has shown that was no fluke.
Jim or Andy - hardly a difference. I think Andy was worse - they both can't be shifted off of their one speed - dead slow.

I'm just getting a little bored with Ramsey's insane rants when it's obvious that they pick a whole lot of contestants who are not any good and are there mainly to be ranted at. I like Ariel and the bald guy (Kevin?) as well as Dave, but all the others are meh. I really liked Sabrina at the beginning, but she has been struggling a lot.

However, IIRC, Andy injured his main hand, and Dave injured the hand that is not dominant. That should make a big difference, though I can imagine trying to work with either arm injured would be a huge setback.

Unbelievable - why did she shout all the time like that? Drove me nuts- and they kept putting her on to narrate. I was getting worried she'd be a finalist - and her skills don't qualify her, and I was getting sick of listening to her. I got to where I'd fast forward anything with her talking.
I hope Dave isn't doing permanent damage, I hope he's getting more medical care and advice than we see - sounds like he was ordered over to the medics last night, and apparently cleared enough to work.

I SO wanted Dave to win, partly because he deserved it and partly because of his true grit. He also would help wherever needed.
Thrilled with the results. Kevin was deserving as well but Dave just had that little bit extra which put him over the top..plus his kitchen ran more smoothly. His decision to go for a simple menu rather than lots of complicated elements was really smart given he had no idea which would be brought back to be the "chefs". Kevin will have lots of opportunities because of this, he won't disappear.
This was really a close one. I am so happy for Dave.
